Truthfully it would help me if one of you could say that it is ok that as a grown black man who grew up in this era its ok that I fell in love with this movie and still wish the world was like this. I know It's weird but It would help me so much to know there were others like me.

Don't worry, your most certainly not the only one! We are all loved by the sun regardless of race. I am always haunted and mystified by the music in this movie. Saw it was I was like 8 and still in love with it at 35...sShrugs. I guess it has an etherial timeless quality.

      Life is beautiful.
      Life is tragic.
Life WAS more simple (no social media instant computerized gratification) in the 1970s and 1980s. NEVER STOP LISTENING. Cut back on the Slipknot!!
. I taught Guitar-Metal, Funk, R&B, Pop, etc music, songs, Lead guitar for years. You should learn to play an instrument if you do not already.
What I am saying is NEVER stop letting the music TAKE YOU TO ALL PLACES BEAUTIFUL. All places....
Especially when things get dark. Be well and be happy . You look young and healthy. Enjoy both as long as possible.
Sieze each day. Losing hope in your youth makes me sad.

Directors cut was absolute garbage and was ultimately what killed this movie internationally. US Version with Tangerine Dream soundtrack was stunning and mesmerizing and will go down in history as one of the best fantasy movies ever made. This of course is my opinion, but i think it's a solid one and most will agree %100 with me.

Actors are generally permanent adolescents and behave accordingly, but one must give Mia Sara her due: in her prime, she was an absolutely captivating young woman. Her beauty and grace while Legend was filmed are clear. Since age comes to us all, I cannot imagine what it must feel like to move past the first and second walls of peak female bloom for a girl so mesmerizing.

I've seen the mystics play there
Once or twice but I knew they had a reason
Enchantment plays it's cards all right
Hand in hand with the workings of the seasons
Legends can be now and forever
Teaching us to love for goodness sake
Legends can be now and forever
Loved by the sun, loved by the sun
    Loved
Two and two go so close together
Whether there is hope that is torn apart
In the words of all that's singing
Hand in hand the beginning is at the start
Legends can be now and forever
Teaching us to reach for goodness sake
Legends can be now and forever
    Loved by the sun
    Loved by the sun
    Loved
Who sings of all of love's eternity
    Whose shines so bright
In all the songs of love's unending spells
Only lightning strikes all that's evil
Teaching us to love for goodness sake
Hear the music of love eternal
Teaching us to reach for goodness sake
Legends can be now and forever
Teaching us to love for goodness sake
Sweet songs of youth, the wise, the meeting of all wisdom

***** WHY? NONE of it made any sense.. probably cus they had to leave a mess of crap out mind.. if you watch it with th e deleted scenes it makes more sense..
but as it stands.. the movie was HORRID!
Thewhole point of the thing was "Lets see just how GROSS we can be sh all we?"
the women in that movie were NOT heroines
they were as much victims as 1000's of other women in 1000's of other movies.
Example: The blond captain.. she was all hung up on getting her fathers approval.. who btw.. had made the andoriod dude and disowned his daughter who was so hung up on it.. that she put her self in those positions just to get his approval and then, like the victim she is.. gets rejected by him again.
and the brunette... shes mostly just lusted over by the android guy, no emotions my ass, and while she does step u p at the end.. the fact is.. she got p ut in to a position where she because she was a female she was used and had some trumatic thing done to her.
You want a REAL heroine.. James Cameron's Riply and in Scotts first alien movie, was a real heroine. Promethus was just two more girls caught up in a situation they couldnt control and then put in trouble because they were female.
NOW you DONT have to agree with me.. You may in fact love the movie and find them Very heroic ... Its just I didnt. and that is in fact my opinion. You dont have to agree.. but please dont flame me.
