As a grown black woman who grew up in this era this was my favorite movie! I watched it over 1,000 times…just magical….and it still is one of my all time favorites!!
@babyyoda0U812 The reason for her comment is that, most black people don't watch or care too much about fantasy films such as this like Legend. It's very rare like a needle in a haystack we enjoy fantasy movies such as this!

What an enchantingly beautiful song. It was perfect as the original ending score for LEGEND when it was released to the theaters in that long-ago Summer of 1986. I can still see the people of the forest waving to Lily and Jack just before fading to the credits.
Nick Brennan Yes in a way it was. But it was also meant for their paths to diverge again. Just as humans today can interact with nature spirits without being able to join their hierarchies.
This music was magic. Ever since i saw this movie for the first time in the 80's i have never been the same. Never has a movie been made with such splendor. This was indeed influenced by entities from the other side , I believe even the creator in sense, since all things were created though the MOST HIGHS
Music of the 80s was so good. This movie was such a part of my childhood. It sucks kids today would call this garbage. But anyone that grew up in this time frame would say different.
I just saw this movie last week on Amazon Prime and as young person I would not call this movie stupid but good it’s better than the movies coming out today
Here 2021 We are all loved by the sun 🌞 everyday. Close ur eyes put your face to the sky and receive its healing warmth & nutrition with gratitude... blessings all! Legend forever....
I legitimately didn't believe it when, years after seeing this movie on repeat as a kid, that it was Tim Curry portraying Darkness. You can barely tell it's him underneath all that makeup, but he blew that performance out of the water.
This song is legend.without this musical score the movie just isn't the same AT ALL.i remember this movie as a kid growing up in the 80s.and this song I can never forget.still gives me goosebumps.
This is one of my most favorite movie's of all time favorite. I have this movie on DVD along with Xanadu, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, original Pet's Dragon, Goonies, n this just some of the movie's I have.
This has got to be one of the Most inspiring video's made on you tube and it brought a tear to my eye at its Beauty !!! Thank You for posting and sharing this !!!
I broke down and bought Legend from Amazon for $8. I could have rented it for $4, but I wanted to own it. Really fun watching it now 30 or more years after I first saw it.
I'm sad that Tom C. is embarrassed that he appeared in this....I love this movie and cherish it form my childhood ~ Ridley Scott is one of the greatest...I probably have more money than Tom C. so hopefully he reads this...I know celebrities do ;) Hi Tom
+rodeopac It's not a great movie but it's by far a terrible performance from him, just horribly casted. My guess is that he was overthinking the role and his lunchtimes with the writer were idly spent.
I love Legend! If I ever get married, I am going to wall down the isle to this song and get married in a secret garden that looks similar to this movie.
PrincessCadence2012 Dude, Ridley didn't, It was the studio. Made him replace the soundtrack for the euro market, as there were copyright issuses. Both ver's of movie are great. TD soundtrack still the best!!!
Owen Traynor-Brent OH! cus in the interveiws on the disk extras.. he takes credit for it! well it was still a good flick! wish hed do more like this and fewer like prometheus!
***** WHY? NONE of it made any sense.. probably cus they had to leave a mess of crap out mind.. if you watch it with th e deleted scenes it makes more sense.. but as it stands.. the movie was HORRID! Thewhole point of the thing was "Lets see just how GROSS we can be sh all we?" the women in that movie were NOT heroines they were as much victims as 1000's of other women in 1000's of other movies. Example: The blond captain.. she was all hung up on getting her fathers approval.. who btw.. had made the andoriod dude and disowned his daughter who was so hung up on it.. that she put her self in those positions just to get his approval and then, like the victim she is.. gets rejected by him again. and the brunette... shes mostly just lusted over by the android guy, no emotions my ass, and while she does step u p at the end.. the fact is.. she got p ut in to a position where she because she was a female she was used and had some trumatic thing done to her. You want a REAL heroine.. James Cameron's Riply and in Scotts first alien movie, was a real heroine. Promethus was just two more girls caught up in a situation they couldnt control and then put in trouble because they were female. NOW you DONT have to agree with me.. You may in fact love the movie and find them Very heroic ... Its just I didnt. and that is in fact my opinion. You dont have to agree.. but please dont flame me.

Loved by the sun, loved by the sun

Two and two go so close together
Whether there is hope that is torn apart
In the words of all that's singing
Hand in hand the beginning is at the start
Legends can be now and forever
Teaching us to reach for goodness sake
Legends can be now and forever
Loved by the sun
Loved by the sun
Loved
Who sings of all of love's eternity
Whose shines so bright
In all the songs of love's unending spells
Only lightning strikes all that's evil
Teaching us to love for goodness sake
Hear the music of love eternal
Teaching us to reach for goodness sake

Teaching us to love for goodness sake

Loved By The Sun.
Great movie, great song, love Tangerine Dream and Jon Anderson's voice.
The most beautiful music written
This was a great Eclipse song in Texas- Keep that light shining through the darkness!!
This song is beautiful and the people who love it hear it in its entirety
One of my favorite childhood movies! This song & movie always makes me cry 😭😭😭
This music was magic. Ever since i saw this movie for the first time in the 80's i have never been the same. Never has a movie been made with such splendor. This was indeed influenced by entities from the other side , I believe even the creator in sense, since all things were created though the MOST HIGHS
This song from my favorite movie made me cry when this song was played
Music of the 80s was so good. This movie was such a part of my childhood. It sucks kids today would call this garbage. But anyone that grew up in this time frame would say different.
I just saw this movie last week on Amazon Prime and as young person I would not call this movie stupid but good it’s better than the movies coming out today
@@moonpiemars604 do you know why?... it's because legends are for now and forever ; )
I do prefer this version in Legend!!
So do I!!
Here 2021 We are all loved by the sun 🌞 everyday. Close ur eyes put your face to the sky and receive its healing warmth & nutrition with gratitude... blessings all! Legend forever....
To this very day Hollywood still can't replicate Darkness's costume and makeup in that movie...it died along with Ridley Scott's genius.
I legitimately didn't believe it when, years after seeing this movie on repeat as a kid, that it was Tim Curry portraying Darkness. You can barely tell it's him underneath all that makeup, but he blew that performance out of the water.
do not care who says what. Legend will always be in the beginning.
This song is legend.without this musical score the movie just isn't the same AT ALL.i remember this movie as a kid growing up in the 80s.and this song I can never forget.still gives me goosebumps.
I love all of THIS.
One of the greatest movie's ever made!!hands down!!I get chills when I here this music.
Perfect. Every single time. "Loved by the sun"
Excellent movie! Loved it as soon as I saw it!!!! Then 50 more times!!!!
This is one of my most favorite movie's of all time favorite. I have this movie on DVD along with Xanadu, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, original Pet's Dragon, Goonies, n this just some of the movie's I have.
Also Neverending story AND Princess bride, remember??
I just love mystical feel this song has, such an amazing voice,I still have the vhs of this movie, its to bad they don't make movies like this anymore
Victoria Suttles You are so right ,I really love this song and movie
This has got to be one of the Most inspiring video's made on you tube and it brought a tear to my eye at its Beauty !!! Thank You for posting and sharing this !!!
I broke down and bought Legend from Amazon for $8. I could have rented it for $4, but I wanted to own it. Really fun watching it now 30 or more years after I first saw it.
I'm sad that Tom C. is embarrassed that he appeared in this....I love this movie and cherish it form my childhood ~ Ridley Scott is one of the greatest...I probably have more money than Tom C. so hopefully he reads this...I know celebrities do ;) Hi Tom
yeah that sux! this is 1 of my guilty pleasure movies.
+rodeopac It's not a great movie but it's by far a terrible performance from him, just horribly casted. My guess is that he was overthinking the role and his lunchtimes with the writer were idly spent.
This is the ONLY movie of Toms that I will watch. After his religious rants I’m done with his movies. Tim Curry trumps him in this movie.
Hear the music all the love eternal teaching us to reach for goodness sake. To believe in the good of man.
You’re an idiot
One of the most beautiful films ever made! 💜💖💜
I love Legend! If I ever get married, I am going to wall down the isle to this song and get married in a secret garden that looks similar to this movie.
Beautiful ~ Ridley Scott Forever ! Love this movie ! ;)
Ridley Scott took tangerine dream OUT of this movie in his edit. DON"T Praise that hack!!
Uar n'rn
***** WHY? NONE of it made any sense.. probably cus they had to leave a mess of crap out mind.. if you watch it with th e deleted scenes it makes more sense..
but as it stands.. the movie was HORRID!
Thewhole point of the thing was "Lets see just how GROSS we can be sh all we?"
the women in that movie were NOT heroines
they were as much victims as 1000's of other women in 1000's of other movies.
I love this movie and this song. This song makes me think of my mother who just passed away. Beautiful!
Saddens me to know Jon Anderson never once played this song live (at least to my knowledge).....it's epic!
