@itsaguinness good point! Same here, actually. That song brought me back to being a kid again and I've been thinking about watching the lost boys since the ozempic episode. Haha
Despite the awesome darkness of this movie, it also captures the freedom and creative explosion of the 80s, it really was an extremely fun time, the entire decade for me. I at once love all the 80s stuff now available on youtube but sometimes its almost hard to watch/listen to, because I wana go back home so bad sometimes. It was a great time being young in the 1980s, wouldnt trade it for anything.
I miss the 80's loads too. I tell my kids it was the best time to grow up, so much more freedom back then. Stayed out all day, and didn't go home until it started to get dark. I won't dare allow my kids out now like that, not on their own, not these days. Best movies, they don't make them like that. They've tried, but they can't seem to capture the same magic, like The Lost Boys, or The Goonies etc. I wish I could go back in time and be a kid again xx

Shelby C cool lol I love the eightes and am 12 my parents got me into it when I was born I watched all those movies they are great!!! and that's cool you brought them into 80s stuff have a nice day.
Let's not forget Dark Crystal, I was only 5 when I first saw that film and I'm now currently 20. I need to get that film on DVD as well as Labyrinth and the Goonies and a little fact about The Goonies, one of the main boys grew up to play in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
Call me weird, my 2 favourite movies of all time were #1 lost boys, original one, # 2 Point Break. Was born in 75, these 2 movies have all stuck to me all these years. Can’t forget them. Enjoy them if you’ve never seen them.
The 80s classic I knew about for years, but only saw a few weeks ago in August 2023 and it resonated instantly, including the music, including this beautiful song. Retrospectively added to my 80s youth besides Duran Duran's Wild Boys video which I saw when it was launched and the Fright Night movie that I saw much later too.
I wasn’t around during the 80s but as far as I know stuff from that time was either really good or some of the worst shit in the world. Doesn’t seem to be much in between.
Those kids singing in unison like that, omg..... Beautiful and very effective. This song has the same effect on me as it did back in ‘87. Timeless film and soundtrack.
Do you know if the kids' part is a sample? The kids singing like this was also used in the opening to New Jack City but ONLY the kids' part. I've been looking for the song with just the kids... if it even exists
@@klauslgeiger They probably got an isolated track. Most tunes you hear are multi tracked. So they record drums, keyboards, bass, guitars, other instruments, lead and backing vocals all separately. Most artists have been doing this since the 1960s. A notable exception is The Beatles. Isolated tracks are not always easy to get because they exist as a master copy that was virtually impossible for the public to get before the internet.
30 YEARS? IT'S BEEN 30 YEARS? Jesus, I must have been living under a rock! The kids are still listening to this like it was released yesterday. To me, it has been.

@Ramirez because the reason why 67 dude is because I want and 13 in1980 and I would to spend my early twenties would in the late 1980's and that would have been the perfect time that's why 1967
@Ramirez I am just a die-hard 1980's fan, & I love the entertainment & the music of the 80's. I just wish that I was able to live the 80's the way that it was meant, not just enjoy the movies & music in retrospect. The only 3 bands that I don't care for from the 80,s are... The Stray cats, Adam Ant & the J. Giles band.
You can’t remake a classic like this immortal film. It can’t be done without it being completely destroyed. They need to leave this film alone. It’s already PERFECT.
I’m not a fan of vampire movies but this movie was magical. There really hasn’t been anything that comes close to capturing the ambiance of the time and the place like this movie.
David "my blood is in your veins' Michael "So is mine!" The one thing I couldn’t stand about Santa Carla, all those damn vampires Lost Boys made me want to be a vampire.
I remember watching this movie as a kid on VHS & this song set the whole vibe for the movie, so eerie & haunting. They don’t make them like they used to. Perfect music selection. I recently got my 9-year-old niece and 7-year-old nephew into 80s movies. We watched Labyrinth, The Lost Boys, The Goonies, and The Neverending Story together in one day (their first time seeing each movie), and they loved them all.

This movie is a true classic! The 80's were awesome. Im glad I grew up in the 80's!

Call me weird, my 2 favourite movies of all time were #1 lost boys, original one, # 2 Point Break. Was born in 75, these 2 movies have all stuck to me all these years. Can’t forget them. Enjoy them if you’ve never seen them.
Point break was and still is my #1 movie behind heat. I love those bank robber movies from the 90s. Cant beat em.
The 80s just had the best music.. The best movies.. And the best combination of both.
Agree
And 70s.
Wrong
I wasn’t around during the 80s but as far as I know stuff from that time was either really good or some of the worst shit in the world. Doesn’t seem to be much in between.
I agree
Pretty sure it's an acapella.
@@Squidgy55 a capella is vocals without music.
“Thou shall not fall…..” etc etc sounds like kids singing in unison (IE multiple voices)

@Ramirez I am just a die-hard 1980's fan, & I love the entertainment & the music of the 80's. I just wish that I was able to live the 80's the way that it was meant, not just enjoy the movies & music in retrospect. The only 3 bands that I don't care for from the 80,s are... Awesome song . This brings back music from childhood.
You can’t remake a classic like this immortal film. It can’t be done without it being completely destroyed. They need to leave this film alone. It’s already PERFECT.
