- The video explains how to replace your touch screen on the car if you’ve been having issues with it. The part can be found on Amazon.
Part # 601-711
Thank you so much for this video, I was able to replace my touch screen in about 2 hours. The only hang ups were reinstalling the ribbon cables. Make sure to take pictures as you go so you will know how deep the cables should fit into the socket. Also I used nitrile gloves when handling the new touch screen to make sure I didn't leave any prints.
Toyota should be ashamed that they did not issue a recall for this part, it is obviously defective. I hope the replacement lasts!
Awesome 👏🏽
Thank you so much for the video !!! I was able to change the touchscreen easily. ❤ Great video, good job! 😊
@@Francine-d4w awesome 👏🏽 great job
touch screen went out a few years ago but got by with an aux chord. then bought a new phone and got effed because it couldn't support the aux. This guy saved me from a silent, hour long drive home from work every day. 🙌
Bought the screen replacement and followed every one of your steps. It worked perfectly for my wife’s car! Thank you for making this video!
Great job 👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks for the video on this. Just bought a 2015 Corolla and the bottom of the screen wouldn't work at all, even with credit card/ gift card. Ordered a digitizer on eBay for a little under $13.00 and just got done with it and everything is working as it should. Can't thank you enough for this. 👍😃
Awesome 😎 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for this video. Of all the videos which show 2014 Toyota radios, yours is the only one which details the step to replace the touchscreen. Because of your video, I replaced the touchscreen myself without needing to pay expensive repair charges to a specialist. That being said, I found 3 steps which are unnecessary: 4:25 removing the knobs, 4:40 removing the 3 screws which are placed on copper backing in the corners of the circuit board, 4:50 unlocking 6 ribbon cables - it's only necessary to undo 4 of them - the 3 with blue tips on white cables and the narrow cable in the center of the long dimension which leads to the touchscreen. The other 2 are more difficult and don't require unhooking. To release them, lift up the black 'bar' where the blue tip disappears and is held onto the circuit board. The touchscreen connector is the most difficult. In the end, I found that I could carefully pull it out without releasing the bar mechanism. Before connecting the new touchscreen, I added an anti-glare screen
I’m glad it worked out for you !
Thank you for this! I was able to replace my screen and is not working perfectly! Took me about 2 hours and everything was exactly as you said! Thank you!

Can you help me
Amazon
My touchscreen still works...push hard...but the physical knobs are messed up. Volume may go up or down regardless of the way you turn it and the tune knob is similar response. Been getting by with the steering wheel controls.
Followed this to the T everything went smooth but now the screen or radio will not come on at all!!! Any tips what it could be
You probably forgot to plug back a hardness inside radio
I got it working I didn’t have one of the ribbons pushed in all the way
@@jesalyncozart2132 awesome 👏🏽 great job 👍🏽
I’m so scared I would do this a fuck up everything haha, mine has the same issue but with the bottom part, you can use a debit card or gift card to make it work but it’s annoying
It’s really really easy boss
