If you’re out of warranty on this problem, before going to Toyota and wasting your money look at Crutchfield’s offerings. I found on their site a double din radio head 7” screen, prewired easy install harness and replacement matching dash trim for $449. The instructions were amazing and took a couple hours to remove and replace. The new head does Bluetooth audio streaming and has AM/FM radio. The best part it does Apple CarPlay and Android Auto by plugging into the USB port. I can use Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Spotify etc right on screen with CarPlay. All steering wheel controls retained and dims when lights turn on, reverse cam looks better. It’s all touch screen controls and the screen is bigger than stock. The trim piece around screen looks terrific and my 2014 Toyota feels like a brand new car. I realize now what a dog the stock radio is. I’m glad nowI had it failed like this. Forced me to do research and go for a wonderful upgrade. I threw the stock radio away.

You can fit any aftermarket radio in these, you just need an install kit specific to the vehicle. Any car audio shop will be able to get it. Or Best Buy is a good store to find it
No. No factory radio is gonna have rca outputs for a subwoofer. You need what's called a "Line output converter". This taps into the radios speaker wire output and gives you rca connectors. They start as cheap as 15 bucks and nice ones start at about 100
Trying to unplug this for my daughter due to the radio system causing the battery to drain every night the radio does not shut off the main screen continues to grow overnight can I just disconnect that main wire or do I have to disconnect all of the additional wires behind the radio system
Just the plug that has the power wires in it. You can also just pull the fuse for the radio out of the fuse box and that will stop power from going to it
You need a scan tool that can turn it off. You can Google "How to reset airbag light on a 2014 corolla" and see of there's a way without it but usually you need a scan tool. Or go to a shop/dealership that has one and have them do it for you
Hey man im hoping you can help me, After I removed my radio it stopped turning on and nothing works even the USB port but the backup camera still works and shows a display on my radio when I put it in reverse do you know what it could be?
@@caraudiodismantle8245 First off I want to say thank you so much for replying, I have been all over reddit, online forums, and called a few electronic shops (Since I cant go anywhere because of the quarantine) and I havent had much luck. Basically when I turn on my car nothing happens, my radio doesnt boot up or anything, none of the buttons seem to do anything, and no music/noise plays. When I shift my car into reverse then the screen comes on to show my backup camera video feed. Thats about it.
Not sure if you’ve replaced the until by now or not but I just wanted to mention that what you experienced is a very common issue with the etune radios. Same thing happened to me and I ended up ordering a nicer CarPlay stereo from crutch-field for like 1/6th the cost of a oem replacement from the dealership. Sad to see such a common issue has not been addressed by Toyota.

Turned the car on while the unit was removed from the car and now has an airbag light on after replacement. Any hints how to remove the air bag light?

Hmmm, so it doesnt turn on but your camera shows up? If your cameras showing then the radio is on. When you say "stopped working" what do you mean?
