@@kurdishforex clean the throttle plate they are horrible for getting dirty and getting rough slow operation may not be the issue but it's a start you can easily RUclips cleaning throttle plate 16 Corolla and do it your self throttle body cleaner is what you need hi at spray the butterfly and clean the gunk from the pcv system which enter the engine just before the plate via a rubber hose from under valve cover causing them to gum up, also the pcv valve can cause an issue if crank case pressure is too high and make sure your oil is full alot of people tend to forget the simple things best of luck my friend

@@kurdishforex how many miles does your car have? I had few problems with my 2016 corolla S. I have 230,000 miles so I was starting to fall behind on few maintenance projects. I was getting transmission kick when stopping and pushing gas to accelerate again. I found it was my spark plugs. They were totally worn out with no surface left to give spark. Replaced them my self from pepboys $30.00. I then flushed my transmission fluid. Drained it out and measured what came out and put back same amount. It shifts smooth and accelerate like brand new. idles like it did when I bought it brand new. I do all my own maintenance. I put pennzoil platinum 0w20-20,000 mile oil and 20k mile filter, I change them every 10k to 12k. It's actually still light color when I change the oil but I'm happy with it lasting 12k. I have a kn&n air filter I clean and oil every 10k miles also.

Evap problem has never been a problem with gas cap in my experience. People always go for that as a cheap fix. But fixing it makes no sense if it isn't the problem. It has become a myth of car advice really. The problem is usually the solenoid valve and it's because of topping up the gas to the filler neck. When it is over-full like that, gas is brought back towards the charcoal canister rather than fumes, and it gets in the solenoid valve. Over time (a few years) this does damage to the component and you need to replace that valve. It's a problem that can happen in many cars. Just don't fill up the tank that way. When the pump kicks off the first time, don't round it up to the nearest amount or whatever - just stop pumping.

I own a 2016 Toyota Corolla S. No problems with CVT. Bought it as a certified used at Toyota Dealer. No problems at all. Just hit 70,000 miles. Take it in to the dealer every 6 months or 5,000 miles for service. Only thing I had to purchase were new tires, one license plate headlamp, rear headlamp, and windshield wiper replacements. Other than that its a great car!

Thank you! I'll give this a try. I was quite disappointed to find this same creaking noise on my 2018 Corolla with 50,000 miles, as I had on my 2007 Prius. Not quite as bad. The Prius had 120,000 miles. I really did expect better of Toyota, though. My partner's Prius, with 80,000 miles, also makes a similar sound. Usually, like most people say, it happens coming into a curb cut, at an angle, or turning and breaking at the same time, such that one corner of the front end sinks into the turn.

I have a 2017 Corolla Le purchased it with 55,000 miles now has 195,000 miles.
Replaced the CVT Transmission. The trans fluid was changed at the 150k mark. So I dont know what difference it would have made. I do think the fluid should have been changed much sooner.
In the future I would opt for a manual transmission.
The CVT had several issues before it finally broke. The transmission would slip at first it was once a day then it became several times a day then within 6 months it broke.
The old Toyotas and Hondas without the CVT are far superior.
I will say the engine is outstanding as it has no problems whatsoever.

My 2016 LE is identical to the one shown. 102k. Bought new. I have been diesel mechanic for forty four years. Retired now. We have a 2000 CE oil burner, rarely driven, I forget the mileage. My wife has a 2017 SE with 40k, the ten year bumper to bumper and she has already paid for the injector flush, coolant flush, etc... she waited for a dealer deal on tires. No one can touch hers but Toyota. I am retired with medical issues, I quit doing my own work. The belt was worn, took it Toyota. The charge was nominal.
Our last cars were a 1991 740, 1995 940 and the 2000 CE now called "the beater".
I love Toyota. My Volvos were Asin, 20 plus years zero issues. I'm certain that the Toyota-Asin CVT is probably the most trouble free tranny and that includes any ZF offering

I've been working on the lady's 2014 Eco with 90k on the clock. Its super slow but slower than usual now. Had some steep hills to contend with and barely made it up them. I'm hoping it's just in need of a tune up, injector cleaner, and filters. Maybe a trans fluid change and not the actual transmission. I was not aware that these had CVT transmissions because I rarely see them for sale with broken trans. Unlike like Nissan, who's CVT transmissions were made of paper maché.

The manual transmission is the strongest of the 2, and will last a long time. As for the CVT, as long as you don't floor it all the time and you're accelerating normally, as well as fluid changes regularly, it should be okay for a while but keep a close eye on it just incase.

My 2014 Corolla Altis VL (India) automatic transmission had some noise coming from underneath. Found one exhaust hanger mount damaged. Done only 47,600 kms. Bought as a certified used car in 2017. Unfortunately while taking the car to service centre by the mechanic he found engine check alarm. They diagnosed it as due to fuel injector issues. Replaced 4 injectors and 4 spark plugs. Also exhaust hanger mount replaced. Parts and labour cost $500.
In India ethanol blending is being done. I’m not sure if this is the reason.

Hi y'all. I have a couple of electrical issues happening to my wife's 2015 Toyota Corolla LE. I've read through some comments below, but didn't see the following pop-up: (1) Lately, the blue lit up areas of the Multimedia panel flicker and turn off when she turns the key off. Could this be a loose electrical connection or fuse box related issue? (2) The audio does like a noticeable drop in volume from time to time. I think the left side speakers are the ones that cut in-and-out. Could this be a loose speaker wire connection or fuse box related issue? (3) The touch screen of the Multimedia panel no longer has accurate touch points on the screen. I'm thinking it needs to be re-calibrated... thoughts? Any helpful advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance! PS: Already have a dealership appointment scheduled. But I'd like to be prepared with some info in case they want to just dismiss our issues or if the issues don't happen when they go to diagnostics.

The only thing I notice is when I shift from Park to Reverse or Drive to Reverse, there is about a 1-2 second lag and then it clunks into gear?? The car shifts instant and soft when going into Drive, Neutral, and Park. Any ideas what may be causing the lag and clunk going into Reverse??

I’m not messing with the transmission at this point because it could only make things worse by taking pretty good care of the engine which are two different important functions of this vehicle I do have an engine mount issue and I was fully aware than I need to replace my MAF sensor I’ve already done so much with this car trying to give it a little more longevity I’m pretty confident that if something were to go out it would be the transmission but I don’t feel like that’s gonna be a problem although thank you very much for some of those tips and tricks because I do have a broken engine mount and if you get that feeling popping that delay in my gearshift it is an automatic
When I talk to a master mechanic or someone who works at the dealership everybody Stimie nobody knows what’s going on SoI rely on my intuition
Which so far has served me well the one thing that you have not mentioned that I hear is pretty common vehicle which is 2015 Toyota Corolla is the vapor canister
