Anybody else think something sounds off when the E (D) string is being played? Most of the low notes in this performance sound off.
good ear, it's a little sharp imo
It's a little sharp, cuz he's downtuned his bass. Looser strings can't be in tune properly. So yea, you have a good ear.
And it's the dryest bass sound i've ever heard!!

What's amazing listening to this is that you disect all of this and you hear it and think, THE HECK?!? It just sounds off and makes no sense, to the lay person I guess, but you listen to the guitar parts as well, on their own and think the same thing. This doesn't sound right, it doesn't sound like the song. You expect it to be played through note by not and sound like the song, with a lower tone, the only thing that sounds like it should alone on its own is the kit. Until the group plays together, all of the odd sound goes away because the instruments meld together and it's cohesive, it's amazing, really. On its own here it just sounds off, get him playing with the other parts and wham! Cohesion. Writing music is funny sometimes. Not like you pictured it.
Ehm, this is a bass cover with tabs. People need to hear every sound particular so I have to raise up the bass volume.
