I had manage to get some work arounds, cuz i didnt realize tht the tutorial was the reason. I jyst thought it was a bug or something. Not sure if coop was contributing to me being able to work around getting out of the garage.
@@Fuscao_Preto I played Snowrunner on day 1 and have started a new save a few times after those 3 years and so long as u play on normal mode the game still forces u to go to Alaska before u are allowed to continue.
0:51 my man using the Paystar for heavy hauling on Michigan. I basically completed that region with the Paystar (5070, before the TS version and map released). If you don't skip ahead, it's easily one of the best trucks for that region and it continues to be a useful truck in all base game regions.
It took me many hours to fully grasp the concept of the game and to figure out how it was generally intended to be played. The rabbit hole goes much deeper than this 😆, the cargo loading areas don't tell you what is specifically available within them, so you sort of have to keep track of what you use where throughout each region. I've driven 40 mins across three maps to wind up faced with a "0 cargo left" message upon trying to pick up cargo. A game where you truly have to pay attention and learn the basics, so if it took you twenty hours to complete the tutorial I bet you will beat the game in its entirety, eventually. Because you were paying attention, those who skip it all will give up and quit playing altogether I'd say near the 20 hour mark, as frustration reaches its peak. This is a magnificent video game and I give it a 9/10 personally and the 1 is ONLY removed due to the user interface, it adds unnecessary difficulty through misdirection and seemingly lazy map/HUD building. But I recommend it to anyone who has patience and enjoys applied-learning style gaming. Take Care! 😁
Yeah I played this game basically like mudrunner. I just got out and explored before I ever did any kind of job and by the time I wanted to do a job it was extremely difficult bc I couldn't figure anything out. Needless to say I have gotten the hang of it and pretty much know how to navigate it now. The way you can tell what location has what is to go to the map and hover the reticle over the name of the particular place you want to know about. ie. Warehouse usually metal beams bricks and consumables (maybe). Anyhow just click the (R3 button for PS) and it will pop up what stock it has.
@@joetroutt7425yess in this game, you have to think and planning carefully ahead. Especially with those BIG missions that maybe take 2-3 hours to finish when you doing it right. If you doing it wrong, ad another 1 hour to it
Um… the tutorial wasn’t more than an hour… and it’s not even a tutorial, it just gives you notes as you go. I’m guessing they must have changed it since 3 years ago when this video was made?
Yeah. I didn't know that either, until i completed the first map. Afterwards i completed Smithville dam, and the other Michigan maps, and halfway finished Alaska's first map. Then uninstalled.
Rediscovered this vid after rediscovering Snowrunner. Love how this game doesn’t hold your hand - however- I stopped my first play through halfway through Mich bc I was trying to enjoy the game without Reddit (or internet help) and became so frustrated at the grind. Only after 3 years hiatus and allowing myself to actually learn the game, I’m back to enjoying and progressing. Sometimes have to stop and work smarter not harder 😂
I am genuinely happy to see you taking that road with that trailer attachment at the end clip of the video…. I took the ‘shortcut’ and no i didn’t flip over, but i got stuck on the elevation changes and god damnit it took me 2 hours to save it and finish the contract 🙄🤣
Things this game taught me about big rigs: They apparently don't drive over roads, they bounce like kangaroo's. They can be pushed over even by people or slight breezes. Driving at 5mph slightly clipping a barrier can destroy an entire tire and suspension system. They can launch themselves in the air and topple over from a standing position. They will get stuck in mud according to how their feeling on that particular drive regardless if they've done that route before in the same conditions. Tree's and rocks that are 1/3rd the size of your tire will still stop you in your tracks if it chooses to. Mudrunner was a calm little delivery game for me to chill with, Snowrunner is just such a grindy pain where at every turn the game is trying to screw you just so you'll play longer. Genuinely went from loving Mudrunner to hating Snowrunner even with simple changes like removing garages from each zone so you sometimes have to drive through 3 zones just to make 1 delivery? Why? Let alone the crazy physics these trucks now seem to have.
This is great. I do not remember doing the Tutorial but I guess it is done. Which makes it worse, I still don't understand the mechanics of the game. I'd like to do the tutorial again. This was a great episode. Thank you
Mud runners tuto: "Press [Key] to move forward. Continue towards asphalt road." "Press [Key] to enter the submenu and chqnge vehicles" "Move towards logging station with B-131" "After that, go and sell the logs" "Congrats! You fğnished the turorial!" I made this off memory i am and hardcore mudrunner guy
Hard mode is where the real game is, normal difficulty is basically creative mode. Though I can recommend keeping a save game on normal mode at least through the base game, just for test driving trucks you're thinking about buying in your real game on hard.
I’ve restarted my campaign sooo many times. Im about twenty hours into a new+ campaign and I’ve made some choices I probably shouldn’t have. Can I change them without ANOTHER restart?
I want to comment something substantial, but i can´t think of anything, so here is a comment for the algorithm and for showrunner - and for the video editing
One is mandated to go to Alaska, but unless one actually enter's the garage. The tut isn't done. I have finished the tut numerious time's when doing a new play through. And though I'll enter the Alask garage, i've never left it, simply entered. And then switched back to black river.
damn i have 108 hours in the game multiple restarts and I'm just now finding this out lmao and now it takes up to 1000+ hours to complete the full game with every update or season just adding more hours to the total and i preordered the game for ps4 and now play it on pc
That last part of your video where you are dragging around that huge maintenance trailer was so annoying. That thing catches on EVERYTHING. I'm surprised my truck didn't tip over when I was driving it around.
Oddly for me I did all this and it still gives me the option to skip tutorial. I'm confused did I finish it or not? I went to Alaska went for a drive and returned to Michigan.
@@MontyZari I ended up hitting the skip tutorial button because I was trying to get rid of the tips that kept popping up. Im not sure if I finished but I have tasks and contracts so I guess it doesn't matter?
I only have a couple hour in it and I spent most of that time going two miles an hour through mud. This is not fun. I'm calling it Slow Runner. I'm about to give up on it.
Once you get to the garage in Michigan, it basically tells you to go to the global map and visit Alaska. So the tutorial is basically as long as it takes you to do that. Unfollow, down vote and block. BYEEEEEEE.
This game is not intuitive at all. The missions dont tell you what truck to use, if you need a trailer or even where to get whatever you need to bring to the objective. Besided that it can take an hour to fight your way to an objective. Its madness. the mud physics are amazing though
Bahahaha sorry had to laugh i cant count how manny people i have helped thru the tutorial and one guy baffled me he somehow managed to unlock multiplayer before Finnishing the tutorial i was so amazed almost impressed he did so much without finishing the tutorial but man it still hurt his progression

The whole game, as with Mudrunner and Spintires, is about learning things the hard way. Golden words to live by in Snowrunner: "don't be hasty"
This fucking game is harder than elden ring what the fuck
"It took me all day to edit a 3-minute video and, honestly, I'm exhausted."

The whole game's a fcukcing tutorial.
You complete the whole game, spending 253 hours finishing every region, only to realize that was just the tutorial 😢
It made me laugh bc it took me an hour and a half because I didn't realize it was a tutorial
Not sure how u managed that 1 becouse to my knowledge once u entered the garage for the first time the game forced u to go to Alaska.
That was updated at some point. This is 3 years old

I found the button to turn off the tutorial in the first 15 minutes so I don’t guess I finished it was tried of the words popping up
