Which engine one selects should only be decided regarding to what user pattern the driver has and not the pure economy. This is because diesel engjnes does not get hot enough during small local drives in cold wheater something that fills the particulate filter on diesel engines, may lead to "knoxing" of the top vales, damaged fly wheel and so on. Drivers driving mostly locally should choose a petrol engine.

I don´t own an Audi, I have a MB E350, but I know Q5 and especially the TDI version is a superb car (handling, comfort, practicality, reliability, quality, suspension, fuel economy...)
