The 2014 Audi Q5 is easily our fastest selling model in the current Audi lineup. From it's excellent cargo space and useful technology conveniences, the Q5 excels at all-around-town driving, but is designed for much more with the quintessential Audi quattro all-wheel drive system.
The Audi Q5 uses a similar chassis to the Audi A4 sedan which makes it just the right size for a crossover SUV. It comes with five different engine options: an efficient 2.0T (turbocharged gasoline), a 2.0T gasoline-hybrid (also turbo), an impressive 3.0T supercharged gasoline, a monstrously powerful (and incredibly fuel-efficient) 3.0T turbocharged clean-diesel, and a high-output 3.0T supercharged gasoline engine in the Audi SQ5 (the performance model).
Pound for pound our favorite is the 3.0 TDI clean-diesel with 428 ft-lb of torque. A client of ours recently remarked "when accelerating on the freeway it pulls almost as hard as my Corvette Z06". That's a bold statement to make!
We hope you have a chance to check out the Audi Q5 a little more in depth with one of our Brand Specialists but if you have questions, feel free to ask! - Авто/Мото
7 years later I think I’m getting this suv haha it looks nice in 2020 still
I get one and is still very nice car, better looking than han new one
Me too
It’s 2022 and I’m thinking about getting the 2014 or 2015
My wife got the Q7 TDI S line in July, I was going to get the S4. Salesman told me the Q5 was getting the TDI engine and I was like "I'm in". Ended up with the Prestige TDI model and absolutely love it. Didn't get the S line version, couldn't spend another $3500. The wife's care handles better because of the S line but mine rides a lot smoother. Excellent review, I watched it to see if I had forgotten what it all comes with. One thing I do like that he didn't mention is the built in Hard Drive that I use for music. You can just push the button and say "track" and then say "Time", and it will start playing Time from Pink Floyd. Awesome!
Excellent point - and thanks for sharing it with everyone. Enjoy your TDI Q5 - if you're ever around Mission Viejo stop by and say hello :)
this man made me love this car more
this guy's a great narrator
It is affordable now :) Still a beauty
One of the best reviews I have ever seen. I love Q5. Thank you.
Excellent review. Narration was great. I watched lots of Q5 review on RUclips and this one's the best. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Aswin!
Good and useful Narration
The thing that gets me is you can find a backup camera in a $15,000 base model Honda Civic, but in a $40,000 luxury SUV, you need to "step up" to get a backup camera. Nice car though.
The best car review i ever saw...every detail a costumer wants to know in one video!!!
Probably the best vehicle review I’ve seen so far. Thank you so much 😊
the best review on youtube!
I am looking for a used Audi Q5 ...watching ur presentation it made me more wanting this SUV...great job ! Best regards from good old germany
Quite insightful. Perhaps the best coverage of any Audi product. And yes, long live the 3.0TDI Quattro.
I just love this guy he certainly knows his Stuff the best narrator thus far I have to agree with Andy!
Thanks Gilbert!
One of the best car presentations/ reviews on youtube
Thanks ronson!
I'm in the market for a crossover and I'm looking for one with excellent tech in it. I came across this review and I just had to say that you did really well. I've been watching reviews a lot so I've seen a wide range of them but this one is probably the most smoothest I've seen.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment!
OfficialAudiMV Is AUDI 2.0t ea888 engine still buring engine oil?
+Zhen Yu No, now it is eating it in gallons per hour.
Q5 3.0TDI for $46,500 ... you can only dream about this price tag in EU
true, but in Europe you get a bunch of things you can only dream in the US
Beautiful car and great review I hope one day I'll be fortunate enough to own a Q5!!
I test drove the TDI this morning since my parents were looking at getting one. I think that this may just be my next car.
This was an awesome review! Answered all the questions I had.
Glad we could help
Let me tell you that you have the best review ever
regards from France.
Very nice thorough review. I've been doing a lot of research on this car and I learned some things, like the two-part key, the convenient shape of the rear storage area, and the color-coded feature of the MMI. Thanks!
Superb job in explaining the car and its features. I've had numerous Audi models, currently own an Allroad, and am awaiting a Q5 TDI. You cover every concern a buyer would have, explain them thoroughly, and your closing comment about a point bump on the residual with Audi-Care is indispensable information. Really well done, thank you.
Howard, you're quite welcome - that's why we're doing these; the employees at our dealership hear from a lot of clients that the information out there is not accurate or helpful, so we try really hard. Ooh! Q5 TDI - that's a GREAT choice, there's one in my family actually - my sister. It's such a complete package. Enjoy!
I'm in awe with the technology
Audi Q5 is the best car in the world.
Great Review! By far the best one that I have seen. I had a question however, is the streaming audio standard across all models? Including those without nav?
A great video very informative I'm impressed, Tony from Belfast
Hi, Great review! You said you would do one on the SQ5. Did you ever do that? I'd love to see it. Thanks!
Great review
Best review I've ever seen
A really great and informative video, really good job! Will there be a test drive video of this car or the 2015 version? And, as a Dane myself, I have to ask: what do you think of the B&O sound system? Would you consider doing a video about the B&O in Audis? From Henry in Denmark. PS: Have anyone said you look like Timothy Olyphant from Scream 2 and Damages?
Really good explanation
Thank you very much it's awesome review ...........Good job
I must say this review was well done applause.
Great review, there was a slight audio feedback reverb, but still a great video.
best review from a dealership guy ever.
I am so in love with this car. It will definitely be my first car.
Same 😂 I know it’s been 5 months have you gotten this car?
Very informative on the Audi Q5!
Thank you Khoi!
Great Review ✨💫✨
When are you guys going to do a video of the 2015 Audi Q5???
Is the car still convenient to push to start or do you have to always put the key in the key slot?
I love this suv swear
awesome review
Thanks!
Good job Cedric! :)
I want this car!
How does it compare to Lexus RX series ? Great review btw
Excellent review!! but you didn't mention how tall you are for rear seat legroom purposes?
Hi, thanks for the question. I'm 5'8" (and a half, on a good day). I took a look at a Q5 on our showroom floor for you. First, I adjusted the driver's seat for my leg length, then I measured the back seat areas. The rear bench slides back and forth, so from the end of the thigh bolster (that touches the inside of your knee) to the driver's seatback it measures anywhere between 6" and 9.5". The seat bottom (touching the backs of your thighs and back pockets) measures 19" deep. The headroom from the seat bottom to the roof headliner measures 36.5". I hope that's clear - let us know if it helps figure it out!
Rear seat legroom is adequate, if not generous. A 6' person would fit but that's about the limit. The rear sits are quite stiff and not very comfortable (leather ones). Front seats are also stiff but with more foam. What I don't like in this car is the overall 'stiffness' feeling, both from the seats and from the suspension, which is apparent even on good quality roads. Also, the steering feeling is disconnected, doesn't allow for much response. On the plus side, the car is spacious inside, not too hard to park or to drive in traffic for a SUV, gets good mileage even in city driving with the 2.0 turbo gasoline turbo engine.
My dream car.
Ur one of a kond, LITTERALLY,
I couldn't imagine purchasing this in a 2.0T. that's literally the same engine on my A4.
You could fit a freaking 3rd row back there!!!
Great!!
Q5 is the best choice
The 60's called, it wants it's sideburns back.
OfficialAudiMV Please be consistent. Either you called it Gasoline and Diesel or TFSI and TDI.
LIKES! THANK YOU!
So, this version does not have pushbutton start?
no there is.
it doesn't come with spare tyre at that price ?
Pearl M
It has spare tire in the truck under the mat
The Audi Care Package used to be a great selling point, too bad they withdrew it and charge $850. But it's still worth the money anyway.
My wife just got this car today and I am not so sure about the tech in this thing. She decided not to buy the package with the Nav because its usually an overpriced rip off on most cars but it seems like the standard radio is old tech.
Not only do they only provide a 30 pin connector for the phone two years after the lightening connector came out but they stick it in the glove box which is difficult to reach from the drivers seat forcing you to use the systems own screen to navigate the phone options instead of using the far superior iphone screen menus. She has an iphone 5 which means we now have to buy an adapter just to get music through the system. And what do you do if you have an android? They dont even provide a standard ear phone jack.
To make matters worse the speech recognition doesnt work at all. Even though the phone is paired and the contacts show up on the cars screen when she uses the dial command it says there is no such contact no matter which contact she asks it to call. The only way she can make a call is to use the dial wheel to scroll through hundreds of numbers just to get to the one she needs.
I don't see how anyone can be impressed with the tech in this car. Its poorly thought out, out dated, and badly implemented. What am I missing here?
Mike, thanks for sharing the feedback. Have you tried the Speech Recognition training? It can be found in the general MMI setup menu. It really makes a huge difference to get the car to understand the user.Yes, the 30-pin is a bit behind the times I admin, but now the defacto standard is to stream audio over Bluetooth. Have you activated the Bluetooth audio player? Check the Telephone > Setup menu for an option that says "enable Bluetooth audio". You will then see Bluetooth show up in the Media menu as an input source. As for the Nav system I believe that the "rip off" prejudice is fading with time. There was a time when I would once completely agree with you - on my 2011 Audi A3 TDI I would be the first to tell you that the Nav was just a glorified Garmin and that my iPhone could do an equivalent job. However, I see that as time goes on (say, three years from now), I think there will be a big disparity between the non-nav unit and the nav-unit. With all of the internet-based connectivity going into the cars, how could Nav not evolve? Yes, there will always be a cheap non-nav option, but I think going that route might shortcut some other functionalities.
What will be the cost of the tdi model in indian currency... ( including tax )
Vaibhav, I have absolutely no idea; I'm a dealership in the United States and can't speak to the foreign markets. So sorry!
Its ok man.....
What features u didnt lyk abt this car.....??
Rs.66,00,000. OTR
Are you still working at Audi
This guy gets Sirius radio with those ears
To be honest I don't like the shape of the LED front light on the Q5. I really like the A series LED shapes more
Systolic, thanks for your honesty - I really appreciate it when people give constructive criticism (instead of just criticism).
:)
The Audi Q5 was my favorite luxury compact SUV on the market until Porsche developed its Macan. For approximately the same price as a V6 3.0 272hp supercharged Q5, you can get a V6 3.0 340hp twin-turbo Macan S.
inches..? hmm...
👍
mkae an Audi S4 review please!
Jason, We are uploading it now - go ahead and subscribe to get a notification when it's up.
I hate how you cant add navigation and surround sound for the cheapest q5
Q5 = AWESOME, ALTHOUGH, by now it should be down in cost to about $31,000 base price without options!
I noticed him saying that a hybrid model is non-gasoline? Ahem...
Holy cow that trunk space is huge.
My dad gave back his Nissan Rouge and got this Audi.
you forgot the 2.0
The rubber boots rotted away so the cv joints have to be changed and we are in 2022 86000 kms
fue muiy paja solo que laergo
Wtf big ass trunk but small add 2nd row
q7 tdi and q5 tdi has same engine
Padam, yes the Q5 can have the same base platform 3.0 TFSI or 3.0 TDI engine that the Q7 has, however, the tuning is different from the Q5's 3.0 to the Q7's 3.0 engines.
You can opt for a 2.0 TFSI engine on the Q5 on the Premium and Premium Plus trim levels.
Holy rip off. Not even a backup camera on the base. Cya VW. Back to Honda/Acura.
You cheap or what? It'☼ only 2.8K extra... lol
TheMidnightNarwhal only? Even Toyota has standard backup cameras on RAV4's.
+Patawon false. My mom's RAV4 doesn't have a backup and she has the lower trim.
Vic292 Since their redesign in 2013 they have had backup cameras standard, regardless of trim.
Patawon My mom has a 2016 model and it doesn't have a back up camera… did you just completely disregard my post?
Am i the only person that thinks he is GAY? ................
BTW i dont have anything against gays
I love this suv swear
can you start the engine with the FOB in your pocket or must it be inserted into the opening in the dash ?
John, with the Audi Advanced Key system the key can stay in your pocket; you just use the button on the console.
Great!!
