I have a Q5 that I just picked up 3 months ago. My wife called it our bubble of happiness when we're driving around in it. The reviewer should really check his facts. The hard cover for the cargo is meant to be stored flat against the back seat in front of the wheel wells. I found that in the manual in two minutes. There is just no comparison to the ride and the quality of this vehicle after owning many domestics from Ford, GM and Chrysler.
The is a spot for the hard cover, you have to slide the back seats forward and it creates a slot in the back behid the seats. It fits right behind and then you can slide the seats back. A bonus is a divider that also comes with it, it is made of a mesh and is suposed to block the rear opening for pets.
@noahsneon I agree, highlighting the hard-to-reach lever for adjusting the steering wheel as a negative is strange. Maybe their goal is to help encourage people to buy the car by making them think if the only negatives are so minor then the car must be great.
Drove This, Cadillac SRX, BMW X3, Mercedes GLK, Acura RDX. In MY OPINION no contest - Mercedes all the way. Smoother, quieter, MUCH better fit and finish, less gimmicky inside.
Do people really sit in the center seat with their feat on the center channel? about 100% of the times I've had people in my car they would share the left and right foot well.
FYI the doesn't even need to go in the slot in the dash leave it in your pocket or put it anywhere on the center console, the car will start with it in close proximity of the key slot. Some haters out there should try shoving it, you know.....
wtf petty downsides... "aww the steering wheel adjustment is too low" What? Do you change your driving position every day?.... "you have to push the key in to take it out" didn't you stop to think that pushing it stops the engine but keeps the ignition? And what's so difficult about pushing it? Normally you twist the key before you pull it out. So all older cars are "unintuitive"
Like "experts" who review movies and have seen so many over time, I think these guys become cynical and whine about the lamest things. The lever to adjust the steering-wheel may be low, but how often are you going to be pulling on it... Just my humble opinion.
BAD QULITY CAR my Q5 2.0T QUADTRO WITH FSH by agent needed engine rebuild due to high oil usage and gearbox work due to mechatronic and clutch failure both wich was very expensive @ 150 000kms for such an expensive car when we bought it. Is just crazy. Will never invest in another audi product again. ver poor resale value compared to mercs / BMW
This guy is a tool, he has no clue, although i guessed that by the way he sat like a child in the middle of the rear seats! really dude, get a grip! I have an 09 2.0 Tdi Sline and return 38-43mpg pretty regular. Yeah its a little bit firm but its a nice drive. This guy should be ignored he should stay sitting in the middle of the rear seats for the rest of his life as punishment!

love the look of this.

That car is a beauty. Its an underrated car. Its got everything and is only around $35,000
Is that Vin Diesel ?
FYI - the keys are perfectly intuitive, it operates like the push button but better.

What would you put 2nd and 3rd??
what color is this? i hope its not black i want dark blue maybe similar to this?
@Annihilator1111 the 2.0 gas didn't come until MY 2011 and we don't get the diesels here.
the engine on the 2008-present Audi Q5
Engine
2.0L TFSI I4
2.0L TDI diesel I4
3.0L TDI diesel V6
3.2L V6 FSI
GLK is also pretty good c'os my mom drives one, if it was just a bit larger in the interior it'd be a great car.
great review.. thanks CR

lol
get with the times US
The Canadian model with KM'H speedometer is perfectly fine
@osamiii324 The Lexus RX is a mid-size. Not even in the same class.
@osamiii324 Not with Audi's reliability issues..lol
Let's be honest, this car is a 4 seater +one car seat.
gotta love German cars
I hate those fancy keys. Does anyone have a regular key anymore? The whole push twice thing seems like it takes longer than turning a physical key.
FYI the doesn't even need to go in the slot in the dash leave it in your pocket or put it anywhere on the center console, the car will start with it in close proximity of the key slot. Some haters out there should try shoving it, you know.....
@@rontoth6159 He must not own one.
good car but not many of them pass the 200K...or 150K
he complained to much.. like any other car is better.. AUDI IS BEST
I disliked this video because the reviewer was unintuitive, you just need to press once while holding on the brakes to turn on the engine...
my mother's audi q5 can 280km/h 2.0tdi
so in other words i just lost legroom putting the cargo cover in :/ duhhh

If this dummy would bother reading the user manual, the cargo cover folds and fits perfectly behind the rear seats without sacrificing cargo room.

He's quite biased in reviewing. See him review the Volvo XC60.

@rms1163 Yep, especially less gimmicky with it's gigantic shiny wood panels and fake leather....*sarcasm*
what are bad review ..make sense with stupid things..omg consumer report could you guys do any better..I know this wasn't a TOYOTA ..lol
great handling crappy ride. Expected from audi that they can't make a comfortable cruiser for the city.
Nothing special about a Q5. Nothing.
You probably can't afford one.
