For the record, he has actually been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and he refuses to take medication for it because he says it blocks his creativity. I'm bipolar myself and he is the greatest reminder there is to take my freaking meds.
also I don't think medication blocked his creativity, his work has been terrible for years. and there are a lot of creative people with bipolar disorder who manage their diagnosis because the highs and lows cause distress, dysfunction, and danger.

If you have a mental issue but don’t treat it intentionally, you’re completely culpable for your actions at that point in my book. Same as if you take illegal meds and do something crazy on them, you’re still culpable imo

And in court it’s very difficult to get an insanity plea to stick. Ed gein’s insanity plea stuck because his crimes didn’t show evidence of planning and he didn’t have mental healthcare because his mother isolated him

The most disturbing part about the situation is that even with the school shut down and everyone paid what they're due, the children still have parents who thought it was a good idea to send them to Kanye's prison-school.

I’m surprised someone hasn’t petitioned to get him a court appointed guardian. There’s lots of money to be made in that scheme so surprised no one’s volunteered yet.

I've worked in crisis mental health services for almost 9 yrs and he sounds like some of our clients who are experiencing some type of psychosis. I have heard many of these types of rants. Obviously I can't diagnosis him over the internet, but it wouldn't surprise me if his diagnosis of "bi-polar" is actually schizoaffective disorder bi-polar type or bi-polar type with psychotic features

I have bipolar with mixed mania symptoms. Bruce is completely right about that being a seriously bad manic episode. It looks like a full mental break. Bipolar does not make anyone a monster. Manic episodes highlight the issues that are already there. For me personally manic episodes make me sleep with people I shouldn't, work on cosplays for days on end and talk non stop about bats. This guy on the other hand... wow. His mania is really showing who he is. My community does not claim him. He's exiled.

11:30 As someone who knows a thing or two about Bipolar Disorder. What I’m seeing here is very easily explained and beyond obvious. He’s in a full blown episode of Mania . His words are all over the place, they’re coming out so fast they’re becoming layered or stacked. To the point the next word is coming out on top of the last one before it’s finished. And the the thoughts of Grandeur is off the charts. Normally in society say if he worked a regular job and was beholden to people above him . He would work a lot harder to reign this behavior in and be much more self conscious and aware of what he’s saying and how he says it . But In his world this behavior knows no bounds because no one can put him in his place. You put this behavior together with the astronomical success he’s had and you have a real recipe for disaster. Because in his mind he can equate his actions with his level of success . So instead of being socially aware and making some adjustments. His mind tells him to double down on the rhetoric and turn everything up in orders of magnitude and it’s a recipe for an amount of dangers to himself and others that’s hard to calculate . And throughout the years Kanye’s behavior like this has been followed by periods where you don’t hear much from him and he seems to disappear. Those are episodes when he crashes and hits his lows . This is a very classic example of Bipolar Disorder but one that I would call an extreme case. There’s millions of Americans with Bipolar Disorder who act nothing like this and who mostly display the symptoms of the disease in a manner that’s not much different than anyone else who’s got some good and bad days and otherwise live regular normal lives where if you didn’t know an individual had Bipolar Disorder because they told or something. You’d never know

I'm just really confused as to how donda was allowed to open and run in the first place. I feel like in Australia if you wanted to open a school of some kind you would have to jump through a massive number of hoops to get the green light (I volunteer at a church, we have to get police checked and given a blue card to work with minors and vulnerable adults in Australia, not to mention what the institution as a whole has to do to comply with safeguarding laws). The fact that this "school" was allowed to open and continue operating is mind boggling to me. America is truly a strange place.

Charter schools are not regulated like public schools are, they don't have to disclose what they are teaching or how, from what I understand. Charters are a way to stop educating poor, or children of other nationalities, unless their families have money. They are also a way for churches to receive tax payer dollars that they cant get any other way. This is my personal assessment of them.

Unfortunately, private schools don't have to meet the same requirements as public schools. My nephew, who is autistic, was sent to a Christian school by his mom. The school had no certified teachers, much less ones who could teach special ed, it was in a community hall owned by the church instead of individual classrooms so kids from 5 to early teens were all in one room. My brother made his ex pull my nephew out of the school as soon as he found out and had him put back in public school.
His "school" sounds more like a gulag or a concentration camp.

I’m so relieved to see people in the comments also holding the parents accountable. Our society in general, doesn’t. We designate certain people criminals add they’re labeled that for life yet we’re led by a government we generally agree has a low level of accountability. But we’re starting to notice it’s everywhere, really. So seeing people hold the parents accountable too, shows me we’re all starting to change and look deeper than just the surface. There needs to be a shit ton more regulations when it comes to opening a school. How do we allow cult leaders and predators to open schools for kids with no checks and balances along the way? We need to get our school system together its such a joke! The system and the parents are failing the kids. I watched The Program on Netflix yesterday and was devasted by what i saw. I hope your pain levels are manageable! As a fellow bionic woman whose pelvis and arm were shattered, it’s a hard road back to “normal.” And that was 15 years ago for me. Don’t downplay physical therapy even if you have to watch RUclips videos and do them yourself with bands… PT is so important. Also vitamins! Unless you’re different than me and already eat a healthy diet (who has the time?!). I hope you got a lawyer and sue the heck out of the insurance for the truck driver!!! I got screwed bc the guy who hit me was a marine in a military hummer and the military insures itself (thru the govt) well the govt has laws on how much you can get and what’s paid for - anyways I hope you get a huge payday one day even tho it takes many years bc you deserve it. You could have died! I am so glad you’re ok and good luck with your paralegal degree! Thankfully today work from home is so much more acceptable than it was pre covid.
