Honestly getting off heroin and opioids was tough but not the hardest thing that I have done and I wish I would have known this beforehand because I may have gotten off drugs much sooner than I did. I was always so scared of the withdrawal and getting sick to be willing to try to quit, but once I actually asked for real help from professionals, and they were able to monitor my symptoms and keep an eye on my progress and make sure that I was safe, that I was able to deal with the sickness and withdrawals and make it through to the other side. Just wish my younger brother was able to get the same help as I did but unfortunately he passed away 6 years ago. Thank you for your kind words, I truly appreciate them.

My son passed November 11,2015 from heroin laced with fent. He didn't have a chance to get the fully loaded syringe out of his arm. He was burned 65% of his body in a house fire and got his grandma out but she passed a week after the fire while my son was in a coma in 2008. He couldn't not deal with the mental and physical pain and he tried heroin to relieve the pain and it killed him. I have learned so much about this drug and help those around my community.

Fking fentanyl ruined it for everyone. I have absolutely no problem with recreational use. I’m not even as mad at the “chemist” as most people. Those men chose to partake in what is now a WILDLY reckless act. I can pass some judgment by understanding from their loved ones prospective. My closest friend at the time was found dead by his granny (he called her that)… I didn’t and still don’t know who to be mad at. I’ve overdosed a few good times, but I can’t imagine blaming the person I made the exchange with. It just seems like once the person is no longer with us to accept responsibility, we all move to the next in line and hammer them with no mercy. It’s an outlet for emotions. I made my decisions, and so did my best friend. However, this is the EXACT reason I have not ever wanted to sell/give drugs to anyone. In the eyes of the people/law, you did this to them, and the only people speaking for the dead are biased friends and family. I’ve lived multiple angles of this scenario.

From day one the police has declared *no foul play and no criminal investigation is being conducted* LONG before they received any autopsy or TOX screen. They left the victim’s vehicles jacket, keys, wallet and cellphones at Jordan’s house after they collected the bodies so the police didn’t have any of the victims personal possessions to further their investigation. There was an empty pill bottle in the backpack and yet the cops didn’t collect that either!! I don’t think they planned on a full investigation until it became a viral story! Jordan moved out and eliminated any crime scene and he’s been checked into a rehab for a couple weeks now.

The law doesn’t think down the line of chain of custody of the deals and sales. They stop at the first next person and call it a day and wrap it up. That damn irresponsible and lazy and selfish to quickly grab the hero status. Jordan Willis did not grow the cocoa leaves and grind the paste to make coke and didn’t mix or buy precursor chemicals to mae fentanyl and then poorly cross contaminated them. That was done many of hands down the line of chain of custody of the drug sales. Such lame pathetic weak lazy hero status grabbing barely GED educated cops. Makes me soo angry hearing these lame cops try to claim they solves something when they didn’t even do anything, truly. They didn’t come close to finding who’s got the ‘raw’ and who’s truly cross contaminated

I understand why people go to rehab after a DUI or another tragedy and I also understand why you, Bruce, would advise them to go straight to rehab. In North Carolina. If you get a DUI you go straight to jail unless you go to rehab for seven days. It’s just a way people who are in trouble with the law to appear like they are serious about getting sober. But you know an addict will use again as soon as they get out of rehab if they are not 100% there for the right reason. I worked in psychiatry for most of my career and have seen some crazy stuff! Who knows, maybe one of my patients ended up as one of your clients! lol
I think the fentanyl crisis is so out of control, and nobody cares when a homeless man dies when he is sleeping under a bridge, but these three young men will hopefully make people more aware that it can happen to them . Only the guy jordan that loved answered the door to the cops in his underwear 2 days later when they did a check up looking for the missing guys. And finally how does a fiancé not know the soon to be hisband is a partier? . You get to marriage stage and still don’t know your partner does drugs? Highly doubt that but it’s typical the average bumbling idiot of the masses are dumb and lazy thinkers. Jordan Willis did not grow the coca leaves to make coke or grind the paste, he didn’t buy and mix precise chemicals to make fentanyl. That interview with cousin saying chemist was just an exaggeration of his job making it sound like he actually makes up these cocktails of narcos. Stop people, use your brains a second, there is a chain of custody of deals and sales down the line or middle men and dealers . In my drug addict opinion, I believe they got blow from the street, meant to do such blow and drink beer while watching the game. Pretty standard. Except as we all know, the fentanyl problem is ridiculous at the moment and dealers are putting it in EVERY drug. Not just heroin. So they OD’d on accident. Just my professional drug addict opinion. I don’t think him being a “scientist” has anything to do with it

Can you help me understand your comment better? I'm naive when it comes to drugs. Are the dealers "putting it in everything" knowing that those who buy it will die, or are they trying to make the "high" better? If no one can trust the fentanyl market, why are dealers messing with it at all? Thanks for any input!

Taking illicit drugs is problematic because you don’t know what’s in it. I have severe chronic pain that impairs my ability to function. I see a board-certified doctor in pain management (which is basically someone trained in anesthesiology with a specialty in chronic and acute pain). I have been in on a Fentanyl patch for a number of years, which is a transdermal patch with a 72-hour delivery. I have been on the same dose, have never misused my medicine, and do not feel “high” at all; the medicine makes it possible for me to move and live life. The sad reality is that the people who are dying from fentanyl overdoses are not people who actually have a prescription from a trained doctor (and not for a pill mill or dealer). People who are obtaining drugs illegally have no idea what drugs they are actually taking - they have no idea what it is laced with (there are fillers used that are cheaper in cost that bulk up the volume). The vast majority of deaths linked to a fentanyl overdose are not people who obtained the drug legally for pain management, rather it is those using illicit means to obtain drugs for the purpose of getting high. Oftentimes, people will ingest drugs not knowing that drug they took was laced with fentanyl and other chemicals; sometimes people will take a pill they are offered at a party due to peer pressure or curiosity, even though they are not an avid drug user. Also, the effective and recommended dose of fentanyl is very very small. Equivalent doses of another narcotic is much larger which is what makes fentanyl laced drugs so dangerous, because people may be taking a potentially fatal dose in one pill (basically it’s like taking several milligrams of a drug that is dosed in micrograms!).
This place is so sad and really disturbing. It’s not simply that these three men had overdoses, but the fact that “the chemist “was in his house for two days while three men lay frozen to death outside of his home. One of the victims was seated upright in , a chair on the patio. The other two men were found in the yard. I’ve seen pictures of the rental house and how visible the backyard is from the interior windows. Unless this “chemist “was high for 48 hours straight and who neglected to take his dogs out to relieve themselves, it is hard to imagine that he didn’t realize that his friends were dead outside. He, indeed is the one who supplied the drugs you should be prosecuted for second-degree murder.. I cannot imagine how heartbreaking it would be for the fiancé of one of the men to find her fiancé and his two best friends deceased in the backyard of someone’s house. By all accounts, the chemist was just laying around in his Cheetos-stained boxers!

I also have chronic pain, I’ve had over 50 surgeries. But I also was an addict before I got in to my horrific accident. So it’s ironic, bc in my case doctors RXing opioids wasn’t how I got hooked originally, (though that’s how my mother passed, she got in to a bad car accident when Oxy was new and they gave it out like candy, I was too young to know at the time and I wish someone told me as I don’t believe I would’ve tire something that killed my mother) most ppl did get hooked on opioids from getting an RX for something, or knowing someone with an RX & trying it, etc…then they started treating legit pain patients like criminals bc of the pill mills etc.
The war on drugs is a joke, I wish we were taught anything useful about drugs as a kid in school. We’d have DARE and get ranted to about how bad weed was and it was a gateway drug etc. knowing plenty of successful people who smoked occasionally. I wish they told us that just bc it’s from a dr doesn’t mean it’s not extremely addictive. I had horrible anxiety, and I stole a hydro from my dad when I was like 14-15. It melted all of my anxiety away and I felt at peace for the first time in years. I had zero idea what I was getting myself in to.
It was easy to find someone that sold them, and I legitimately thought it was fine bc they came from a dr lol. That eventually led me to harder and harder opis, though never IV. I was like 8mo clean when I got in such a bad accident I had to get airlifted to the nearest hospital for emergency surgeries. Obviously they had me on high doses of everything under the sun, and now I wouldn’t be able to function without opioids. Luckily I am on RX methadone which is a great painkiller and is perfect for me. It doesn’t last 24h for me, so I take a dose every 12h (as I’m RXd) but I remember when I switched from getting RXd by my surgeon to a pain clinic. It was horrible, I was treated like a junkie and often got snarky comments from drs or pharmacists as well.
The war on drugs has caused some awful things, including the supply and demand for F to basically take over. Really sad.

It's why I applaud pragmatic approaches such as those in The Netherlands, where you can have your stuff tested anonymously/without repercussions. Government doesn't want you taking drugs, but people dying is even worse.
During events, when a bad batch is signalled, they also put up warning signs that some of the stuff might be lethal and urge you to have it tested at conveniently placed spots on the event grounds.
It shows understanding that you're often better off guiding people to safe use, than banning it and then looking away. I also understand it may look defeatist, but like I said: sometimes it's only a binary choice between people using safely and people using unsafely.

I live in Kansas City and if I remember correctly, on/about January 9 it was definitely "freeze to death" weather here. A good chunk of January we were seeing high temperatures of -10 to -17 (which I think was our lowest high) and those were middle of the day temperatures with the sun shining. Nights were in the -20s, I think as low as in the -30s some nights. Our wind chills are also brutal and generally however cold it gets, you're gonna feel a good 10 or more degrees colder than that from them.
Of course Minnesota is generally colder, but imo it's a bit of a misconception that Kansas winter could be called mild.

    • @SpottableBus
      @SpottableBus 7 месяцев назад

Also, funny story, I used to live in Montana and I remember my first year there everyone made a big deal to me about experiencing my First Montana Winter. The thing was, I lived in Missoula and it's basically a valley with mountains all around. There was very little wind and the air was dry. Even though the ambient temperature was on average lower in Missoula, it felt milder than Kansas City winters because in KC we have significant wind chills, and the moisture in the air can really slap you in the face.
I imagine Minnesota has wind chills and moisture in the air too.

One time in Chicago we had an early warming spell in the weather and I witnessed a guy on a crotch rocket die because he went out and was riding super fast on a side street and hit a slick patch and lost it. This is another case of people jumping the gun on the weather to have fun and got caught. I'm sure this probably happened before during warmer weather and they all had their "The Hangover" moment, but this time it got cold and they all died of exposure. Always amazed at how people die from dumb shit.
