Tesla owners share their experiences in crashes, near misses, hit & runs, and other Tesla Sentry Mode events in Episode 229 of Teslacam Stories, the ultimate Tesla show.

Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners' real experiences told by the Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode videos. All incidents are recorded from Tesla vehicles and submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiasts. I contact each person who sends me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up on what happened after what we see on their video. Voice-over and captions are added to describe what happened, and why. I believe that this additional information regarding the incident gives the videos a newsworthy value.
From the footage and additional information, a viewer can learn the consequences of bad driving and can educate his/her self with better driving safety. This process also gives the videos a great educational value. It is my desire to add my own unique and creative value in a transformative way to ensure you enjoy and learn from the videos being presented.

The Tesla submitters dad was 100% wrong and instigated the rage vs the myp. If the guy is driving like a speed demon let him go and don’t be a traffic control device. The myp never cut him off and wasn’t thinking about him but the other m3 driver 100% instigated the rage by flooring it and blocking him next to the truck. I have zero respect for road ragers. Fun fact. The usb drive will contain the last hour of driving without needing a save button. If ever you think you forgot to save a clip, it may be in the stored video from putting the car in park. I use a 1TB SSD for my 2019M3, and most trips are less than 1 hour long. You’d be amazed at how much was saved.
Also, if the car complains it can’t write to the drive, make sure it created a folder called TeslaCam. Caps are important as Tesla uses Linux for the O/S and it’s case sensitive.

Sure enough, one day I get ready to make a protected left turn, only to notice a truck that has no intention of stopping and just blows through a solid red light. After reviewing the dashcam footage, the light for that trucker was also red for around 6 seconds!
By the way, the intersections on the highway I use have "Prepare to stop" flashing lights, so the truckers have no excuse of "I didn't have enough time to stop". From experience, I know those lights start flashing well before the light even turns yellow.

Yes, I'm in my 60s and I've see *many* accidents at intersections (esp where one road is a feeder road) where the person hit had a green light.
I don't care if the light is green.
      1) I stop 10' back from the intersection at feeders (have seen cars closer get plowed through at over 50mph)
      2) I wait a full second (and usually for other cars to proceed into the intersection)
      3) I always look in the direction of oncoming traffic before starting through the intersection.
I'm not as cautious at "normal" intersections but I still look both directions to check someone isn't running the orange light (or even very red light).
This is because those are among the *worst* accidents where your car is totaled and you may be crippled or killed.

#15 - It's scary to see how few people know how intersections & traffic signals actually work. It's VERY common -- and VERY useful -- for people moving in one direction to have green "across the board" for left turns as well as moving straight while the signal in the opposite direction is still red. Sometimes it's an all-or-nothing proposition, sometimes the turn signal will go red while the light on the opposite side goes green for straight across only. Then the lights in the 1st direction will be red across the board while the opposing direction' will go all green, and so on. That "witness" probably needs to go back to traffic school. #14 - Model 3 vs. Model Y is actually idiot vs. idiot. They don't "know" how to "shut down" road ragers, they actually just know how to participate & escalate. The cammer and his father need to grow up before someone gets *really* hurt. #4 - I'd make a police report (if they even accept it!) with the expectation that nothing will be done... but maybe, just maybe, if one of those "my truck is bigger than your truck" dweebs get caught doing something later on, it *might* weigh in to stiffen any penalties they'd collect. #1 - That's one lucky guy... :-)

For the road raging truckers, dude needs to call the department of transportation & cops for whatever country he is in & make a report.
In my state any accident or incident involving a truck that requires a CDL gets investigated by the DOT & state patrol no matter which type of road it happened on (state or county highway). The reason I know this is because the nearest state patrol office is over an hour away from me & I had to drive there to get the files for the investigation after my late husband was involved in an accident with a truck almost 7 years ago. It was a pain in the behind to deal with that on top of everything else & they explained why it was that way. Trucks are governed by the DOT, more or less.

#14 - That Model Y was a non-issue, and the cammer instigated the entire road rage for nothing other than being offended that he got passed. The gap was huge and the cammer was just camped out in the left lane. The far left lane is the express lane, you need Fastrak to use it, so it doesn't count in terms of normal traffic lanes. The cammer was in the wrong lane since he wasn't passing anyone.
#9 - Bill is an idiot. You don't ONLY use your camera when reversing out of a spot, you turn your head and look, as well as use your mirrors. There's no blindspot if you can see the car in your reverse camera, and as Bill stated, he was looking at his camera, so how is it that he didn't see the car when it was already there as he started backing out? Also, how is it that the Tesla collision sensors didn't stop Bill from backing into the car, or give him some sort of warning? Oh never mind, as I already stated, Bill is an idiot and would probably ignore it.
#8 - Rich doesn't know how to use roundabouts. That car was way on the other side of the roundabout as Rich approached, he should have kept going. That's how roundabouts work, multiple cars can use it at the same time. But instead, he stopped, then proceeded to go very slow through the roundabout in response to the Mini honking at him. Don't be like Rich and instigate road rage.
#7 - Did Gabe throw a fit and honk at them as he passed? I don't see any other reason why they would throw something at him.
#1 - People who wear socks with sandals or slides don't deserve respect.

Maybe the submitter's father should take a few driving lessons, tell the instructor to focus on the 'keep right' part.
And maybe get some agression therapy too? It's not exactly normal to deliberately cut people out and then block them. Across 20 years of driving I've seen two people like the submitter's father get criminal convictions over stunts like that, one of them I really had to hurt quite badly before his attack was stopped and his arrest could be effected.
