I thought I was terrible at line art until I bought ONE diami brush and turns out I wasn't the problem xD I still have a long way to go but products make a huge difference and I'm so happy that you talked about it because a lot of other artists will say "don't spend money on x y z, just get gud" which can make it feel like it's my fault if I can't recreate certain designs easily.

When you’re using painting gels you’ll have a better time with a shorter brush. Since they’re so thick using it with a thin long brush is gonna be wildly annoying 😅 you wont have enough control using thicker paints

Hi! I hope you can make a video about the different types of nail gels (cat eye, regular, glitter, non wipe top coat, wipe top coat, etc.) and nail tips (gel, acrylic, etc.) and their differences from one another from their uses to tips or dos and don’ts in using them. 🫶

I'm sorry if you already said this in this video or another video and i missed it, but how do you clean your brushes between different colors and different gels/ products? Like if you really work the product into the bristles, how do you get it out of the bristles before changing to a different product? Do you have a little container of acetone next to you while you work and you swish it around in there? Or do you use some other product to wipe it off between colors?
I hope that question makes sense.

I get what your saying and its all true. But it’s the experience of doing it while you learned the lessons you learned that quantified it for you. In other words its going to be different for each artist how they learn those things like gel polish consistency being better for hand painting than gel paint despite the fact that it’s called gel paint or gels are basically semi permanent and permanent but amongst both categories you can have both soft and hard depending on which country your products are from will matter in what you call it and even the fact that laying a line down is just as much about your clean up skill as it is about your scribe skill and lastly how you have to actually put pressure n next to the area you want the gel to go and not directly on top of it because your essentially guiding the gel into place not painting it etc… Those little nuggets are things we get when we put the time in and practice in of our industries art. I just feel like i make a ton of videos trying to explain tips to others who are starting out to hopefully make their transition easier and i feel like it goes over their heads at that time because they are not actively in a situation that pertains to that information. Do you ever feel like that? 😆 I mean i still love to teach and i think it’s still important but sometimes i feel like im too analytical lol. 😂 anyway i love your content it’s great. Keep up the good work

Hey! I have a Shopify related question. I love your videos and content! Basically how did you set up the selection drop downs on your product pages without making a bunch of new variants? If I only wanted to sell 15 of a specific nail design, I wouldn't want to have, let's say, 18 variants for the nail sizes and shapes. Because I could easily oversell or run out of stock for a popular size/shape. I'd have to check my inventory so often and it doesn't seem practical. Did you set your store up with a special application so you wouldn't have this issue? Or is there another solution you found? I'd love your advice. Great video, too!

thanks so much for the vid! literally had no idea abt gel’s different viscosities
i do have a question (open to anyone) tho: i'm going to start working with gel polish for custom press ons and am wondering if i should purchase cheaper polishes (looking at modelones or jodsone) to use for practice & get better at my craft. then, i'll purchase higher quality polishes for when i start selling. OR, should i get the more quality & expensive ones from the jump and risk wasting better product because of my low skill level?
im aware the better the product, the easier of a time i may have (and possibly the better the set will turn out), but i'm kind of thinking of this in the way of art supplies where you learn the basics with cheaper supplies and then apply what you've learned after investing in better products, yk? once i open shop, i'm looking to buy kokoist pots until im able to go a bit higher in price.
let me know all your thoughts! anyone is welcomed to put in input - thanks so much :)

I'm also just starting (still undecided if I want to be selling stuff or just do it for myself) and I knew I wanted to try ALL the things and there is no way I can afford everything so I'm starting with cheap stuff and hopping to slowly upgrade but if I could, I'd splurge on the good stuff! For example my cheap lamp broke like a week into use and I've bought a better one but I regret not going with it from the start. Sometime going cheaper is paying twice. xD

did you do something like idk exercises to get the techniques like lines so good? I'm absolute newbie and doing my first overly ambitious set rn. I'm a professional digital artist so it helps to some extent but I've learned that drawing with gels are.... almost closer to pottery? You don't draw as much as you mold the paint to the correct form. It's been a very challenging adjustment but very fun in it's own way too! =D

I have been watching your videos ever since coming across your channel a few hours ago.. I have an urge to ask you one question.. The most important question for me.. How do i get lint/fur/dust out of your gel bottles? I keep painting and its endless, i don't think there's a way to get them out of the bottle anymore so i can only wipe the nail brush on the lint free wipe and pray that no more comes out. I don't want to repurchase so many colors too, i built my collection for a long time :(
Sometimes i thought i had the smoothest top coat ever but i see those little bumps. I'll have to file it off and paint the top coat again (but most of the times i just leave it because the press ons is for myself TT) But if i want to start a business, i really don't want the customers to experience this.
Also, i saw in another video that you had a green tub of jelly where you just dip the completed press ons in, before you stick them on the card. Can i know whats that? Seems to be useful especially for a house with a dog!
