@@edyb2097it’s a good cover, but the strumming is more intricate than that. This guy is strumming all the strings at once when he’s playing the chord, Stephen breaks up the chord so he’s only playing a few strings at a time when he strums. But each drum is a different group of strings. Check out the full guitar play through on the Official RUclips and see him play it, Im terrible at explaining things but you’ll see what I’m talking about.
@Pitt0212no, you can use any guitar it’s all about what gear you use, in this case Steph used his LTD guitar, Seymour Duncan pickups(at the time), marshall amps, and prolly a boss ds-2 and a boss chorus pedal,
@Pitt0212 pretty much, although this guys tone is accurate, I say just experiment with yours until you find something close, I reccomend the fender mustang lt25, i recreated the white pony tone that chino uses

I can't believe it's been almost 20 years since my best friend taught me this riff. I was 30 and it was the first time in my life I had access to an electric guitar with a distortion pedal and an amp. I had given up trying to learn on my own on an acoustic when I was much younger. He taught me how to tune a guitar properly, then how to play power chords with one finger in drop D. The first riff was an 80's Ozzy song, then he taught me how to play killing in the name from beginning to end, minus the solos, and then this riff. It felt like learning how to fly. Thank you Mike. I miss you every day brother, RIP.
what amp settings would I have to use, i have a mustang LT25 amp so could someone figure out the settings for me? I’ve been trying for months and I can’t get it as perfect as this one. like what’s the gain/bass just everything :)
This song is one of the best songs ive ever heard and you made it sound so close to the original that i could easily mistake it for the orginal if i wasn't watching you physically play this.
Solid! Sounds amazing to the original!...what set up are you using? Pedals, digital effects processer, amps and tone?... I'm a huge fan of SC and early Deftones! I can play this song(all of them) but per recording quality ive never come this close to sounding this fing identical!...lmk thx
Thanks man. I'm just using a Boss Katana with the 'Brown' distortion channel. In the intro there's a chorus effect on there but that's from the Katana too. So Boss Katana and Vintage V100.
Nice. Nice tone too. Still doesnt hit right without the drums though lol. But man, theres just something I love about a Tuxedo Les Paul. Nice guit, man!
That tone is so good

Right. Go listen to the original song again and tell me that's the same. It's all better with a chorus pedal.

eh not quite, sounds good but the main riff does not have that much distortion going on in the original track. this sounds a bit too thick and fuzzy
Takes me straight back to 97‘, and i wasn‘t even alive then
Funny how music can do that
By the way, if anyone prefers these types of covers to be a normal video and not a 'short', let me know :)
please make this a normal video i hate shorts style
I like em
I think normal videos are better than the short type videos
Please do, you're sound is 🔥🔥
is that a question? we want full covers!!!
Who else did the Chino Moreno’s breathe after the initial results riff?
that and air drumming immediately after as well
The tone is * chef's kiss *
You've heard the song right? You know how the original sounds? I mean, if we're being honest here, that's a bit of a stretch.
