i really took into consideration of what your comment said. I was hesitant for a week to buy 2008 leather seats cause of the airbags inside seat. But as stubborn as iam . I wanted to get rid of the cigarette smell in my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis i went and bought the seats and risked it. When it became apparent there were a number of issues my foam cusions in my 2000 were shot. Driver side was flat . That was 1 problem and the word airbag.
The seat swap was VERY simple.
    Backseats two bolts /4 minutes.
Front seats i did not unbolt the factory seats.
It had cloth .i was thinking i can swap foam and put leather over cloth. But it was sooo much easier to take cloth off . Foam cusions are not attached to metal frame they hug metal frame. They switch within seconds. There in no airbag in driverside or passanger side in a 2000 MGM . There was airbag on the 2008 seats i bought, but i added a little foam where the airbag was .and clipped all the leather together. It all snaps together with clips. If someone out there is curious about seat swap. I never touched a harness

Thank you for the video. I will need to do a similar swap 07 LTC seats to 11 CVPI. Haven’t decided yet whether to replace the whole passenger seat or just upholstery to not fool with the wiring.

Just bought a 2005 p71 yesterday and I loved it smooth car but I to hate the cops eat can you tell me is there a certain year model I should stay within to make the swap easier on myself..? (btw I ordered a Mercury Marauder gauge cluster with a tach from eBay and some underdrive pulleys, can't wait to get started lol)

Will the connectors that plug into the Town Car seats still be present on a CVPI with a manual driver seat? Mine doesn’t have power seats but my seat is shot and I’d like to put in a Town Car bench seat without extensive wiring. Will I only need the door trim piece with the electronic seat adjustment buttons?

How r u sir, I have a 2011 P7-B. I would like to put a 2011 Town car seat in my Crown Victoria. Is it not plug and play?

As he showed, the pinout on the connectors is different. You car is also not wired for power passenger seat. The OCS module on passenger seat is also programmed different, and will trigger the airbag light if not swapped.
By far the easiest method to swap is to put the towncar covers/foam onto your p71 frames. Cut a slit in the passenger cover for the recline lever.
Note that the headrest changed in 2011, you can't swap '11 covers onto '10- frames (and vice versa).

were you able to fit the town car front seats in the crown vic for transporting them from junkyard?

Actually I had my nephew pick them up for me in his truck on his way home from a job site, so I never loaded them into the vic, but I'm sure a person could load them in the trunk and strap the lid down so it's not bouncing.

Hey, I just picked up some leather 04 TownCar seats for my Interceptor. I had some shit in my trunk already, but I was able to remove the headrests and stagger then in the trunk (front seats) and bungee the lid down. I was able to put both back seat sections in the back seat. Just be careful arranging your seats because there are alot of sharp edges on the frames. Unfortunately the only seats I could find were tan, but a color dye change doesn't appear to be very difficult. Definitely a sweet upgrade though!

Will the ac blow thru the center console vents in the back?

Im sure you could plumb it all in to work that way if you wanted it. I didnt bother with the vent i just wantes the seats to work.

Your 2011 CVPI seats are not power? Well the drivers side anyways? I followed this link from a forum. I been wanting to do this for awhile. I just found some decent 2011 Town car seats that I want to put in my 2011 Crown Vic. My drivers seat is all power with lumber but passenger seat is not. The back seat from town car fit right in? I thought I read that the drivers seat is just plug and play with the exception of a couple pins that needed to be swapped. Good video brother
