I'm a medically retired Master Auto Tec. The number of custom and street ripping cars have come and gone. But it was allways fun to chat with the customers/new friends, after the first week or so of driving the car. From clapped out Celebrities to $450.000 Convertible GT500KR's. One thing, a dream if you may, has been to take a big ol American family sedan and make a well balanced sleeper. Crown Vic's are the perfect platform in my eyes. The 4.6 is versatile, transmissions are stronger, more efficient and can be modified to great extent. Old school "LUXO BARGE" and modern tech? DUDE!!! COME ON!!! Bro high fives to all of this! LOL..... I can see a twin turbo set-up working well, with sacrificing the rear passanger area and trunk. Who needs rear seats? Heh! Snorkle set-up for the intake, thru the body and into the trunk space. Mainly for the reduction of external intake turbo whine, rain protection as well. Trunk floor modified for an exhaust that only produces a "woosh" out of the tail pipes. A seperate oiling system for the turbos. Dynamat everywhere, custom rear faux seating, carpet and fabric. The most subtle Grandpa paint job, modified steel wheels for more rubber out back and stock wheel covers. AHHHHH....what a dream. To hear a friend ask "what the hell do you need a roll cage for?" Now I wish I had the 75-100k to do it!

Tons of comments on here about discrepancies between factory horse power and what the car made before the turbo install. Factory is measured at the flywheel. They measured it at the rear wheels. 50-60 horse power loss through drivetrain not uncommon on a rear wheel drive car. It made 200 hp before turbo install at the rear wheels. After turbo install and tuning it made 368 at the wheels, but that’s not the real story. It made 410 lb ft of torque. Americans buy horsepower, but they drive torque. Torque is what launches that boat, horsepower is what gives you top end speed.

    • @maxdm1583
