Watching this video is so amazing but also has me confused. I was recently on splash mountain at Disneyland and the animatronics and everything look so much better in this video, much more life like, vibrant, and with better facial movements. Why does this ride look better in 1992 than it does today.
Disney is not willing to fix most of the animatronics anymore, there so focused on the retheme then the rides conditions itself, especially the logs sinking
I know right! You would've thought that as the years went on and technology got better that the animatronics would've gotten better and an even more "life-like" quality and feel to them.
I was thinking the same thing, everything moving so nicely and as intended in this video. On my recent trip in October 2022 (3 months before the ride closed) there are a few animatronics not working at all, and the rest of the ones don’t seem to move properly and seemed clunky compared to this video. Oh well, Tiana’s ride will bring us something new to enjoy in there!
Interesting that Brer Frog is in a different spot than he is in today. He is before the lift hill here, but was moved to mid lift hill later. Anyone know what year brer frog was moved?
I want to do a follow up to my comment a few years ago. I actually think Tiana’s is alright, just relies on screens a bit much, and also feels empty in some parts. I went back to Disney World in January 2023, right before it closed, and it was in absolutely terrible condition. Disney didn’t bother for the years in between when they announced Tiana’s and when it closed. If there’s one good thing I can say about Tiana’s, I was actually impressed how fast they got it done (which, to be honest kind of shows)
Imagine making the most popular theme park attraction on Earth and then erasing its existence because some random guy is deleted. We as human beings can't be this moronic.
Hey Dennis! Could I feature a small clip of jump Brer Rabbit in an upcoming video on the channel? With on-screen credit of course! Let me know :D
Heck yeah. Love your channel.
@@dennissmith5807 Amazing! Thank you so much! :D
@@TPMvids when do you expect it to be ready? I might have another clip as well.
@@dennissmith5807 ooo whats the clip?! The new video goes up this Sunday!
I’ll check
6:30 you can hear the you boys can’t catch me from jumping Brer Rabbit. Very cool
The animatronics are actually working as intended in this footage wish It would always be like that
It was brand new at the time. The one in WDW opened in 1992
Ironically, brand new Tiana's Bayou Abomination is functioning as well as Splash Mountain's last day.😂
I’m gonna miss this ride
I went on it for the last time last week
Sad looking at this now that we’ve seen the garbage replacement. This was the most well designed ride ever made!
This ride was rated recently as the greatest attraction on Earth, so naturally, DEIsney had to destroy it.

I love how he brought a massive over-the-shoulder vhs camcorder on the ride
Nah it was a Sony 8mm.
@Jackson Hedrick A lot of people think that the re-theme is gonna fall-through and not happen. fingers crossed!
@@prepare2qualify111 it was just confirmed its still alive 🙄
lol now a days thats banned
@@prepare2qualify111 well this didnt age well
This video is just sad. Seeing how good the animatronics looked back in 1992 and now, it’s just sad.

It's going to be a retheme everything will remain accept the story
Disney really let the ride fall apart in it's last few months before closing. Heartbreaking.

@@TheFoxFromSplashMountain I hate them for that and always will
I guess Disney really has lived it’s best days. Doesn’t seem like they will ever find their niche again. The way cooperations are these days.
Disney has had ups and downs throughout it’s life, I’m sure eventually we will have another high point of the company
Disney can you please make the animatronics work like how it did back then before Tiana please?
The most obvious change that's happened in the last 30 years is just how much the trees have grown.
1:01 Wow long ago there alot more grass
Farewell Splash Mountain 😭🐻🦊🐰🌊
we’ll now it’s officially gone, those people are lucky
As we come to a close… RIP Splash Mountain 1992-2023
A retheme
Disney just left ( I forgot how many animaltronics there is) alot of animaltronics homeless they Disney will pay for this
Splash Mountain is still operating in tokyo

I would only ride it to make my family scream on the drops
I’m going to miss this ride
