I wasn’t alive yet when Splash Mountain opened lol I was born in 2006! It’s so cool to see how it looked in 1992! It’s also kind of sad because currently so many animatronics are not working, and seeing how well they worked 30 years ago is sad to see.
I remember when I first rode Splash Mountain. I absolutely loved it. This ride is literally my number one favorite ride at Magic Kingdom! I hate how it’s going to be rethemed!! I love Splash Mountain so much 😭 One thing to be happy about though, is that Brer Rabbit can finally live in peace and won’t be chased by Brer Fox and Brer Bear again. 💙

It's genuinely cursed seeing every effect in the ride work, I'm so used to it being broken and having effects missing this is completely alien to me.

Recently filmed a POV on Splash Mountain last week to say goodbye to the attraction as my next trip will likely be 2024. Watching you're pov and realising how broken SM is right now as watching mine back and some scenes are blacked out, animatronics not working and the soundtrack just cutting out. I'm glad its getting rethemed in a way as it just seemed broken in so many ways.

@@Crimson_Snake1 This video was taken from Florida's version of Splash Mountain. And I can assure you that in Florida at least, space is not an issue whatsoever and there is ample room for Tiana elsewhere. It's the California parks that are more land limited at the moment. But even then, Disney just announced a long-term redevelopment plan last year called the DisneylandForward Project. The proposal would repurpose almost 90 acres of existing property backing up against the western side of the two parks for further expansion. Disneyland itself alone (not including California Adventure or the surrounding property) is about 100 acres. 90 acres would be a huge amount of additional attraction space if used wisely.
