I think my favorite bit of this is the implication that the Sword of the End is using Logos' power. Shulk used the power of Ontos, the creator, and fought to create a new world. Rex used the power of Pneuma, the preserver, and fought in order to protect his world from those who had lost faith in it. It just makes sense then that Noah, who fights to destroy his unnatural reality so that a better one may take its place, uses the power of Logos, the destroyer.
@@crimsonrose1508 Logos powers consul N sword sheath (purple glow). while Noah blade that can become the gauntlet is same as matthew: has the power of pneuma (green glow)
@Octane Cat no it's referencing the trinity of God bro. It's LITERALLY IN THE NAME. The trinity processor is named after the trinity of Jesus (Logos), God (Ousia which was changed to Ontos in the localisation for no apparent reason) and The Holy Spirit (Pneuma)
Little did he know he was right about Noah beating some sense into N. Edit: And the fact that he chosed his own path unlike N and ended Moebius for good.
It’s figurative and literal not only as the Hope born Noah later down the line but the finishing blow that stopped Z infinity was N(oah) himself (along with his wife) That is perfect 10/10 enemy mine goodbyes
I know it was implied that the main game's party reunited at the end, but the sight of Aionios separating and then refusing properly was just the amount of closure I needed.
@@deathbykonami5487 not necessarily as mio has a diary that states that she forgot everyone but loosely remembers only Noah. Not his name or his face. But that he was someone important and she promised to meet again. We can only hope that this is enough. But I’m also pretty satisfied knowing the fusion happened in the end. Both because it makes the games ending less empty feeling and because it’s vindicating to have been proven right about how the story would go (in that specific respect only)
actually that light was the two of them fully separating and going back to their respective plains of existence. Don't forget the base game made it completely clear that they would separate once more and they never even entertained the possibility of them ever properly fusing otherwise such a thing would have mentioned. While the ending of the base game did offer the possibility of travel between the two worlds that was it, there has never been the possibility of fusion between them.
@@Vandalieu What are you talking about? The worlds fused back together. That's what is shown at the very end here. The merging was always inevitable, and origin was made so that the inhabitants could survive in the new world. This doubled down by Rex and Shulk.
You know what I don't see anyone talk about? When the Ouroboros lands the finishing blow to Alpha, Alpha also delivered a final blade strike to the Ouroboros with the Monado, mirroring the ending to the battle of the Bionis and Mechonis. Even the fight itself is like a mirror to this, with the two being colossal titans with Godlike powers. God I love this series.
And if you think about it, it also mirrors the base game. N and M are the ones to finally destroy Z, landing the finishing blow. Moebius destroys Moebius. In that way, Ouroboros destroys Alpha, which is associated with Ouroboros and the aspect of discarding the past by destroying it. True way to bookend.
Yknow, I didn't really expect to end up liking Matthew as much as I did. I really expected him to fall into the "lovable idiot" category, but it really did feel like he was his own character. He was very reckless, sure, but he was also very smart. He knew what questions needed to be asked to get the information he wanted, and he understood what he learned. He's very emotionally mature, despite letting the need for revenge overtake him sometimes. But even then, he overcomes those feelings, and understands what needs to be done for the future. I also just loved the big brother energy he emitted, specifically with Na'el, Nikol and Glimmer. Also, shoutout to his VA, Rory Alexander, for giving my favourite performance of the DLC as well.
Matthew was a very welcome addition. Man its dope to see Rex as a grizzled verteran though and how far he came feom the little kid he was in 2. He really must of looked up to Zeke aswell.
@@ThunderDrangonX82 Wrong. Look at the scene again: the core only appears in that moment, it wasn't there all along. And it is transparent, because it's not the actual, physical core, but just a manifestation of Pneuma's power. Consider also that A says that what make Matthew's gauntlets special is that they contain Origin metal, not a core crystal. And Riku explained that Origin metal can contain the souls and memories of the people just like Origin, and that Lucky Seven contains the soul of someone important for Melia. So, just like Lucky Seven contains Fiora's soul (as confirmed by Takahashi himself), the Origin metal in Matthew's gauntlet contains both Mythra's and Pyra's, and that is why Pneuma's power can manifest.
Now I understand why Noah, with his Sword of the End, was the only one with the right to terminate Aionios. His version of the sword is composed of Origin Metal, Ontos/A's Monado, Pneuma's Fist of the End and, when he came to terms with his Moebius half, Logos was reunited as well. He has the whole Trinity Processor inside his Blade. He is in a similar position to Klaus, but there's one difference, as this time everyone counted on him. He has the power because humanity as a whole reached a consensus about the future.
Alpha: 'i hate the old world, it’s irredeemably flawed' Also Alpha: *oldest being in existence, from an even older world, considers himself excluded from flaws*
thats the only thing i feel is missing from the dlc. there's no nice little epilogue capoff and seeing the characters after the fusion. just the implication that everything went back to normal. they should have done that at least.
@@1stvinyl oh yeah we know its immediate because of XC3's epilogue but i feel like it would have been a nice little cap off to the dlc itself. There's that promise that they will reunite again and....we don't even get to see a quick picture of it at the end.
Also just goes to show how strong a fully grown Noah would be. N being able to clash and overpower Rex and Shulk in the fight before Alpha is impressive. Yes Shulk lost some power when he gave up his visions and Rex probably would be stronger of Pnuema was still around. Also love the implication that N and Noah draw on the power of Logos for their sword of the end.
For those wondering what happened to Matthew during his journey, which is according to the statue depicting him in the city, he never returned. His descendants will take centuries later to return to the city.
Moebius is the process to store all the information of the past, the two worlds. Ouroboros is the process to process that information and create a new path. When Noah and Mio attained both Ouroboros and Moebius powers, Origin could use both to remerge the worlds into one by their wish to both not let go, and still move forward.
I'm glad it's a happy ending for Shulk and Rex. Sure, they have to sit in a void for 1000 years. But one day they'll be free, back on that balcony where Origin once loomed over them. Their wives by their side, their children playing in the room behind them like nothing happened. And finally, they'll get to face their future, possibly being the only ones holding the memory of Aionios with them.
Considering the worlds outright fuse at the end it's likely that even if a lot of people don't remember Aionios directly, they'll certainly have questions for whoever do remember.
I think this was the best way to end Shulk and Rex’s story. Two people from different worlds that gave everything for the sake of their individual world’s future. Now they can rest knowing that someone else like them will eventually take up their mantle to change the world and seize the worlds future just like they did.
That's the shown ending, the real ending is that they're now in their restored universes living happily with their Wive/s and friends with that final scene
@@anther3502 no? They are currently acting as the Avatars of Origin. Key word is CURRENTLY. Once the worlds separate, since we can assume their data is in Origin, they’ll be recreated in their worlds just like the rest of the people in Origin
Same. I kind of wish they used the old Wii graphics for the Xenoblade 1 scenes. Maybe it would look out of place, but it's the version I played as a kid.
Some of the fans were right about the DLC also being an epilogue, because we get to see both worlds fusing back into one at the post credits. That also explains Noah disappearing in the base game's post credits scene, it was both the worlds in the process of re-merging.
@@Minarreal what no I'm talking the light that was shining when the two planets were separating. Not the small blue light that was coming to one of them at the end which I believe to be Alrest as it's the one that is actually Earth and based on the things you hear in the game should be connected to X in some way, maybe them returning to earth.
Honestly, I am perfectly happy to never see Shulk and Rex again after this ending. This is a perfect send off to their characters and what they stand. Maybe a mention or two, but other than that, they are out there, living their best life
If you mean next installment they most likely wont appear (maybe just as guest dlc like elma in xc2) This is the end of klaus saga, next installment will take place in new saga, new World and new complete story)
would've been nice to see idk the entire fucking rest of the cast though. Bit of a piss take in that regards. ngl I feel the whole expansion was a let down in comparison to the rest of the entire franchise
@@smells109 have to agree with you there, i wanted to see a picture or a cinematic of everyone one last time, we most likely won't get to see them again.
@@seakaizers2211 Pretty sure they'll still be supporting characters or at least be mentioned since the blue light which may or may not be Kos or the White Whale heading towards the newly fused worlds indicates pretty strongly that the next saga will at least begin there
Rex and Shulk are really crazily powerful. They alongside A offered themselves to the trinity processor practically. A is obviously accepted. But Rex and Shulk individually should match the level of the aegis otherwise they wouldn't be able to offer themselves up.
It be awesome if they fought against Master Xehanort wielding the legendary X~blade that rivals their blades. That be one heck of a battle of their lifetime.
@@a.jordan9288 I mean if Alpha was able to prop up Origin on his own while also holding back Z then it stands to reason that A should have the raw processing power needed as well
Everyone is here fighting! We got Rex, Rex’s daughter, Rex’s sibling-in-law, Rex’s great great grandson, Rex’s chum’s daughter, Rex’s parallel universe friend, Rex’s parallel universe friend’s son, Rex’s parallel universe friend’s best friend’s daughter, and Riku. Soon joined by Rex’s son-in-law and Rex’s great great granddaughter.
@@Will_-it3mh In order, we have: Rex. Glimmer: Rex’s daughter with Pyra. A: Alvis’ form in Future Redeemed. Alvis is one of the three Trinity Processors with Malos and Pyra/Mythra, making them their sibling in a way. Matthew: Grandson to Ghondor, who is the grandson to Rex. Thus two “greats” tacked on. More on this later. Linka: Zeke’s daughter with Pandoria. Zeke calls Rex “chum” all the time. Shulk: They’ve met even before Aionios while building Origin. They’ve probably met in Aionios too. Nikol: Shulk’s son with Fiora. Panacea: Reyn’s daughter with Sharla. Reyn and Shulk are best friends. Riku: Potentially adopted son of Riki, maybe Kino but probably Riki. I probably could have called him “Rex’s parallel universe friend’s Nopon friend’s adopted son/grandson”, but leaving Riku’s name alone felt funnier. Could have also said “Rex’s hair on a Nopon” but eh, whatevs. N: He is the father of Ghondor and M’s husband. M is Mio, Rex’s daughter with Nia. Na’el: Blood sister to Matthew. Anything related to him can be related to her. So not only is Rex directly related to three of the six founders of the City (Glimmer, Matthew, Na’el) and distantly a fourth (Linka via Zeke, who is descended from Adam’s dad’s brother, and Rex is descended from Adam), but you have Matthew fighting alongside his grandfather’s father and killer, aka his great grandfather. N would also be Glimmer’s stepbrother-in-law, and thus Ghondor would be her stepnephew, and Matthew and Na’el are her great stepgrandnephew and great stepgrandniece respectively.
After watching all of the cinematics and sidequests, this DLC was wild Matthew and N become Dante and Vergil N became far more sympathetic, but not TOO sympathetic Riku being revealed as Kino's son AND the 7th founder The Xenosaga connections It was all amazing The only thing that I wish that they changed was that Rex and Shulk should've told Glimmer and Nikol about them being their dads, but then again you could argue that it would've put them in a lot of distress. Other than that, 10/10 prequel story
@@patrek2798 I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY MENTIONED PROJECT EXODUS. I was freaking the fuck out when I heard it in background of the serious conversation between Na'el and Matthew that I didn't pay attention to it lol
Basically, Shulk and Rex will was the whole reason the Ourobors team were able to defeat Z and Moebius they were just giving the torch until the time was right. Matthew and the Founders only stopped Alpha, and they created the foundation of the "new" city. Sure, their fight with Moebius lasted 1000 years, which led to the events of the main game. Also N helping was ironic because this also the start to show the sign of the Noah we know, but he kept his delusion that as long he and M were happy as Moebius he didn't care if he was keeping killing the people of the city aka his descendant it only took his replica reincarnation aka NOAH and M death to realize he was wrong. Shulk and Rex giving their their life to both Nikol and Glimmer so they can live on it is heartbreaking. It basically means that they both of them are their children or just descendant but they doesn't stop them acting as father or father figure to them. Especially Glimmer she need Rex as Parental figure for growth while Nikole need Shulk to determine his resolve.
In fairness, N never took the lives of his children intentionally. It’s why he gets mad at Alpha for using the host’s connections to protect itself. Because that led to his son getting in the way. Probably why M never really gave up on him. And considering what we now know, N might not have actually killed anyone.
My memory of base game is a bit hazy, but is it implied anywhere that Future Redeemed takes place a thousand years before base game? Genuinely curious.
@@mrbubbles6468 I think those words that N said with Noah in Origin about his descendants is only cause by his grief including his son has to died by his sword.
And just like that. Takahashi’s dream story is over. What a mad man…. Elma or KOSMOS I’d love to believe are at the very end. Just to make everything feel complete for me.
@@Minarreal cannot be the white whale before the joined planet would not be Mira.. it would be the planet we already knew from the end of the base game.. Mira did not naturally have homs on it whereas this planet does
I think people also need to accept the possibility that the falling object is neither Elma nor KOSMOS. It could be something entirely new. The fact that they leave us with that mini but impactful cliffhanger implies they want to keep the Xenoblade continuity going (e.g not somehow connect it to Sagas or X). They could be drawing inspiration from either/both going forward with the Xenoblade continuity as it enters a new story arc
yea agree, if its new entities that could make another series qould be great. we start as Xenogear, XenoSaga 1-3, now Xenoblade 1-3 + X. i would welcome the new stories, just like how falcom did to Trails francise
People who have only played the official Xenoblade trilogy but have never played any of the other Xeno games have absolutely no idea how monumental of a plot reveal this ending gave us...
@@bruttokane8846 Without naming any specifics, the radio scene basically revealed that Xenoblade is canonically set in the same universe as Xenosaga, and numerous other aspects of the ending sequence further confirms it. There were plenty of references to Xenoblade X and Xenogears, tho they were just references since the lore for those games are directly contradictory, as opposed to saga which fits perfectly and was referenced the most in very direct ways. It's basically confirmed that Xenosaga specifically is an integral part of Xenoblade canon. This is why I'm almost positive that we're getting a Xenosaga remaster/remake/retelling in the coming years.
@@OutsiderAus10 yeah but I wanted to KNOW how the world are connected. If xenosaga Is like a fourth and finale world or another thing and I wanted to KNOW the beginning of the story and what Is that Blue dot.
@@bruttokane8846 Ah, I see. I'll do my best to avoid spoilers while still answering your question. Xenosaga is set thousands of years into the future (tho I forget the exact year). Humanity has colonized countless other star systems, but has lost the location of earth (which we now know is likely due to Klaus' experiment splitting it up into two separate pocket dimensions, aka, the Xenoblade 1 & 2 worlds). The blue light we see arriving on the newly reformed earth at the end of the FR is almost certainly KOS-MOS at the end of Xenosaga Episode III. So essentially, Xenoblade focuses on the events pertaining to what happened to earth after it was lost, whereas Xenosaga focuses on humanity's existence across space. One of the core plot elements of Xenosaga is them trying to find earth once again, yet we never see in Xenosaga what actually caused earth to be lost in the first place or what became of earth after it was lost, so it's quite significant to learn that Xenoblade is connected since it quite literally answers that burning question.
Vandham mentored Rex who falls in love with Nia (+ Pnuema) and has Mio. Mio meets Noah and has Ghondor. Ghondor eventually grandfathers Matthew and Na'el Who one of em eventually have Guernica Vhandam who has a daughter, Monica. She gives birth to Ghondor Vandham II. Its also amazing how everyone from the Rex Bloodline doesnt like when Nikol takes a bit to speak. Rex sighs, Mathew tells him to spit it out, Glimmer tells him to work on his conversation skills. I found that pretty funny. Also when you think about it. Mathew was working his Aunt Glimmer and fought along side is great Grandfather Noah (N) and Great Great Father Rex.
Is mio still rex daughter? Us rex just immortal? Cause mio wouls gave had to be be born and died several times hed last time confirmed to last 10 years, 10 years plus ghondor becoming an old man plus matthew??
@Sean Kock Spoilers: Rex in future connected and Shulk are avatars of their true selves. It's why rex wields the blades of pyra and mythra but they aren't there. Glimmer gains her longevity from thr remaining life span of the avatar from Rex. Meaning Rex can no longer manifest an Avatar. Same with Shulk and Nikol.
@Trash Panda it's like a vessel used in order to interact with the world. It can be a physical body created using data stored on Origin. Which is how Rex and Shulk could come to be with out being inserted into the cycle of Aionios. The avatar is most likely a one time thing that can done and the being is treated as a live human with a normal life span. Which is how they transferred their remaining life span to their children. Granting them release from the cycle. Rex and Shulk are not dead, only now they can no longer leave Origin.
The idea of a talk between N and Z after this ending is funny to me. "Alpha has been disposed of." "Excellent. Might I ask a question, however...?" "Yes...?" "...Why is my house underwater now...?" "..." "Well, whatever. Now to dispose of Ouroboros for good." "Yeah, about that."
The view of Earth being restored almost broke me. If we had gotten a little epilogue cutscene of the parties of all three games resetting on Earth with a piano cover of Beyond the Sky to go along I would’ve been a mess
I was a complete mess as soon as they started to show Flashbacks from XC1 and XC2 in the ending. Couldn't even listen or read the vocals to the song anymore, that's how loud I cried and how full of tears my eyes had been. Not ashamed to admit that never ever before a game series managed to destroy me emotionally this heavy, in a good way.
@@tubulartortoise2557 remember that origin is made up of memories. It isn't completely unreasonable that the memory of Logos could be manifested within Aionios. Once the world's return to normal, Logos is once again destroyed.
@@tubulartortoise2557 Pnuma and Ontos likely had data from Logos still. Even if it was just Pnuma hearing things, Xeno2's end did elude to the idea that Malos/Logos still existed to an extent. It's not farfetched to assume that a portion of him latched onto the Origin Metal.
@@Typi Exactly. we also see that a lot of places that were destroyed from the two worlds, like The Mechonis Sword, Prison Island, Morytha, etc. reappear in Aionios thanks to them being memories. Like you said, too, Ontos and Pneuma probably had enough data from him.
Such a dope fight and ending cutscene. Love the Zanza theme for Alpha too. Also going back to look at the statues in the City of the founders and seeing the whole party is pretty amazing. Another cool detail is Rex saying "if it were them i dont think they would bat an eye at helping" then pans to Sword of the End (Logos) and Fists of the End (Pnuema).
If you look at the radio in the city scene, it had the logo of Vector Industry from Xenosaga and the name Dimitri Yuriev was an antagonist in the game. This cements that Xenosaga is apart of this timeline in a way.
Or at the very least, Xenoblade X's world was eerily similar to Xenosaga's world, I think it's more likely since they specifically mention possible Xenoblade X events whereas the Saga references are just that, references.
The energy of these characters expecting to go to some crazy place only to appear on a modern street corner with modern houses, though suppose that is crazy to them.
My favourite thing about both Rex and Shulk in the DLC is they come across as weary old souls in younger men’s bodies. Considering they’re clearly a HELL of a lot older than they actually appear, it makes their ending all the more emotional.
This is one of the best crossovers I have ever seen. Bring a trilogy of games to an end. It is bittersweet, but I am hopeful of the future of xenoblade or what comes next.
That's explain why both Nikol and Glimmer got a long lifespan. Ah btw, why do I suspect that both house of Rhodes and house of Ortiz are actually come from 1 family. I suspect they both got married but the house got split when their decendant become diverse? Just a theory.
One small detail I like in the final hit cutscene was that N's eyes regained some of the light that our Noah's has, right before he tells Matthew to drive it in.

“dmitri yuriev” I’m losing my shit right now. As someone who’s 35 grew up on gears, then saga, and never imagined I’d get here. The name of the man who did horrid shit comes back. This can’t be the end, it’s going to continue. If dmitri yuriev is mentioned hahahahahahahahahaha
I LITERALLY GOT SO EXCITED!!! I was hesitant to use CA through that fight but I had to cuz of the perfected monado buster move 😭 that shit would ko everyone. CA was the only shit that kept me alive lol.
In a way, we finally got the boss fight against Alvis that we never got in the original Xenoblade. We've finally fought the entire trio of Zanza's disciples.
They cannot just name drop Project Exodus and Dimitri Yuriev so casually over the radio. Oh and is that the White Whale crashing into Mira in the post credits scene? I hope they give Xenoblade X a DE and continue with Xenoblade X as a series of it's own now that this trilogy is done. I would love a Xenogears and Xenosaga remaster as well. Cross my fingers that the Baten Kaitos remaster is a sign at least Xenosaga will be getting a remaster at some point soon.
@@SacrificAbominat that was not Mira at the ending but the main world after merging back after origin properly reset.. it's likely a nod to Kos-Mos from xenosaga and appeared as a blade in 2, who was left floating in space at the end of their game
@@bradDark6941 Okay so where's the ring around Earth? If this were KOS-MOS falling to Earth it would have a ring around it like the post credit scene from Xenosaga 3 had. I think it's more likely the White Whale crashing on Mira, which is likely what this fused world becomes thousands if not millions of years into the future. Xenoblade X also has cheeky references to it's world being the future world of Xenoblade 1 in it too, so I think this was a nod to Xenoblade X more than Xenosaga or heck Xenogears which it could also loosely be interpreted as a nod to, again though where is the ring around the planet in that case. Then again in the case of Xenoblade X where are all the moons around Mira. I don't think we're going to get any clarification on this. It's most likely just a cheeky nod and that's it. I do think we're probably going to see at least one of those 3 games remastered or given a definitive edition relatively soon. My sure bet is on Xenoblade X, but my hopes are up for a Xenosaga remaster since the Baten Kaitos remaster is happening, and Bandai Namco isn't as stingy about remastering games these days. Though I think a Xenogears remaster is more likely than Xenosaga because Square Enix has been remastering a lot of their classic PS1 games and there isn't any potential rights issues associated with that game.
@@SacrificAbominat If it really was just a bunch of cheeky references, they were shoved on your face very hard, tbh. At the very bare minimum I would expect it to be a subtle nod to the fans that there's room to suppose the numbered entries are loosely connected to X and to Xenosaga canonically, maybe even the starting point of the latter. But frankly, I think the light is simply a small glimpse of what is going to happen in a hypothetical Xenoblade 4.
@@Minarreal Maybe Maybe not. Xenoblade 2 basically confirmed that the entire Xeno series is a multiverse so what's most likely with these references is that similar people and events exist in each universe, but the outcome is different enough to make them distinct from one another. For instance the project Exodus mentioned here doesn't sound like a last ditch effort to save humanity from an alien attack. It sounds more like a deep space colonization effort with no real stakes to it. Dimitri Yuriev was a lab rat for UMN experiments when he was on Earth and not a politician back then in Xenosaga. The only reason why I'm thinking that light going towards the planet might be a hint at the White Whale crashing is that both games share the same name, so they could be vaguely connecting the two more than just a silly mention of Frontier Village and Homs from Tatsu. I don't think if they'll retroactively bring Klaus's experiment into the story for X if they continue it. X has it's own themes and approach to it's story and universe so it's probably going to have vague hints to the mainline series at best if it gets a sequel or extra content in a definitive edition.
OMG IS LOGOS THE SWORD OF THE END? :O MATTHEW HAD PNEUMA IN HIS GAUNTLET, AND REX SAID THEY NEEDED TWO AEGIS LEVEL POWERS TO BEAT ALVIS!!! :O MALOS'S COLOR WAS PURPLE! LOGOS AND PNEUMA.
@@ScytheJackal No since the world itself was reborn, and so all the characters come back to life. Like the ones from the original game. Which is why Rex said he will see his daughter again.
Was it ever explained how Rex and Shulk managed to survive to Aionios? Shouldn’t they be really really old considering that Rex’ daughter has a great grandson?
Rex and Shulk aren’t from Aionios. Their worlds are frozen in time. At the end of XBC3 when Origin activates everything that happen in Aionios never happen and time reverts back to when before Aionios was created. The people of the City are erase from existence because they were created within Aionios.
@@fafaaf61 no Aionios was created to keep time in a loop because the event that would have Rex and Shulk word combine would have destroyed both worlds that why Nia and Maleia had Origin created so that both their world can combine safely. There a cutscene in XBC3 that explains the origin of Aionios that Nia tells and what Aionios is.
Ignore the other commenter. I was talking about this and it's mentioned that in much the same way as A is for "Alvis," the Shulk and Rex we see are avatars of their respective consciousness within Origin. The real Rex and the real Shulk are cores inside of Origin, but they're manifested outside of Origin so as to ensure it's not interfered with. Thus, they don't age. They go back inside of Origin to administrate for A in the same way that Logos and Pneuma did for Ontos, because their job is done. They manifested to stop Alpha's plans, and they finished that task. Now they're placing trust in Matthew and the people of The City to stop Moebius and put the worlds to rights.
Apparently there is a dialog in the game where it is explained that not everybody got assimilated by Origin when the merge happened. Those who didn't get assimilated live in Aionios with longer lifespans and keep their memories of their past worlds.
It probably implies directly that: Malos' will, and Pneuma (Since the Core Crystal could be the two of them together, making the Gauntlet and Sheath of The Sword of the End/Origin) have been there since the very beginning. Rex seems to have had no clue where Pyra and Mythra were located. He just thought them gone, and it really crushed him. What I propose is: Pyra/Mythra, as explained in X3 ending. Their wills are the Sword of The End/Origin and the power of Ouroboros. What ultimately brings upon the end of the Endless Cycle. Is the weapons that they provide to stop it, cut it. An amazing youtuber made a whole video about he suggested that maybe the Ouroboros' power was Nia's will, and Melia's was the Sword. But I think he also suggested that it would be Pyra/Mythra directly. If this was their wills at hand... Pyra and Mythra have always been with us, and all future generations of Noah/Mio. Google search it real quick. An image of "Noah Gauntlet" it has been there ALL ALONG. The emerald light, the trinity processor's symbol on the sheath... the Circle Shape, that covers and protects the Core Crystal...
Just pondering thoughts here. Also in the credits (why the fuck am I crying typing this LOL, I get too emotional DX), when we get the clear look of the Aegis Crystal, the lyrics are: "I will always be near, right beside you"... Our girls have always been there ;u;
Okey, and now core cristal in Noah's gauntlet? Or not? I hope when Riku gave really, really sharp magic sword to kid, he didn't gave him Pneuma cristal like bonus. Because if did it, why in the game no one told about this little event
@@Mr_Bow I am running back into all relevant cutscenes to get as much right info as I can. If you ser when Riku gives magic sword to kid. The Aegis Core Crystal was already with Noah. I still don't really know or understand why Pyra+Mythra picked Noah... it could be as simple as like Alvis. They had a Vision or Foresight of who to entrust the power to. That aside, in the, Noah Getting Lucky 7 cutscene. The little circle where the crystal is protected, is already with Noah in his "Red Sword".
The light at the end is Kos-Mos While Exodus is a different thing. Recall Exodus for Xeno X happened because Elma was there to begin with. It could also be something else. Who knows lol. I am frankly just angery that Pyra and Mythra's role. Being so important to the Xenoblade world and lore, they are just glossed over or sidelined. With how much Rex mentions: "those, them, they" all so often. WHICH BY THE WAY REX, SUPER RUDE, THEY ARE YOUR WIVES! A solid reveal really was too much to ask huh?
That blue light at the end arriving to Earth must be KOSMOS considering in Xenosaga 3 ending it is shown KOSMOS path through space is leading her to Earth. It was also mentioned that KOSMOS will be needed again eventually in the future of Xeno series for a unknown role. If this all a line right then KOSMOS arrives to Earth right after Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Literally nothing better then the timing on that electric guitar combined with how badass shulk and rex look on each side of the party ready to do battle with a god yet again. What a masterpiece
Almost all of Alpha’s arts in the first phase are a reference to their functions in Xenoblade 1. Dual Ray is just Alvis’ Cross Ray/Lost Ray. Monado Eater inflicts Bleed Monado Speed makes Alpha invulnerable, based on the nearly perfect evasion it provided. Monado Cyclone, in addition to being based on the original version of the attack rather than the rising spin attack it was in 2, inflicts Topple
The moment that post credits scene started showing Jupiter, and space in general, with that oh so familiar flute starting to play....I knew a big lore bomb was about to drop.

Rex is my favorite I'm so sad he is gone but xc3 probably will show after math I hope, I wish they show a picture of all of main cast all together in one last picture would make me happy!
Seeing this epic finale and the fight of Xenoblade series made me think of something of what I hope Phase II of the Kingdom Hearts series will lead of Sora and friends in the new universe of Unreality and Fiction and the journey it will have. Mayhap the story it will have be like the Xenoblade series and the epic intense battles against the ForeTellers and the being "Darkness"
I cringe whenever Kingdom hearts mention darkness. It's such a bland, overused and childish way of describing anything evil. "Light vs the darkness" give me a freaking break... Light isn't always even good, too much light and you'll go freaking blind.
Sad that there's no epilogue scene connecting back to the base game's ending w Mio and Noah, but it is what it is. Definitely confused a bit at to everything going on w Alpha/Alvis/A and the other lore bits, but that'll get cleared up w time and the community analyzing it. I wonder what the falling star/meteor at the end is supposed to imply? Not much to go off of, but I do hope it means going forward Xenoblade will still keep this continuity. The Klaus Arc and its characters and concepts may be over, but I'd still like to see the world and future they fought for, and have new adventures in it.
I'm not entirely sure if this is correct but based off my interpretation, I believe Alvis became Alpha when he reverted to acting like a machine without Logos & Pneuma being present for the Trinity Processor. As for A, I think she is an AI-fragment offshoot of what's left of Alvis that broke off from Alpha-Alvis that became self-aware from the memories of traveling with shulk & became something/someone new.
@@perrydunetz882 yeah sorry I wasn't specific enough. I meant more along the lines of a glimpse at base 3's ending as in something like: seeing Mio's side of the post credits scene, or a glimpse to the ppl of the world being happy, even if we don't see our main party. The merged world does still work beautifully in its own right tho. Especially now that I realize it's actually depicting the worlds passing THROUGH each other and then destroying and being remade merged together. Really lovely.
I like how they took Zanza’s theme and altered it for this fight. SPOILERS Also the fact that Alvis (er sorry Alpha) came from the rift from Future Connected, was he the one who unleashed the fog king or was HE the fog king all along

this is gonna sound cheesy, but I really had a huge connection to this game, I was a bit late for getting into this game. I got into it in 2019 and first tried xenoblade 2, eventually I fell in love with it, I found out that day I absolutely love RPGS, then I found out there was a xenoblade 1, so of course I wanted to try it, and repeatedly I would keep playing them, slowly seeing the connections in the games, then in february 2022, xenoblade chronicles 3 was announced, that day I was in tears of joy, I was so glad my favourite series was coming back, the 2nd game gave me so much comfort, and the 1st game made me think a lot, but that’s what I loved about these games. I remember I was the happiest person I could be when the 3rd game was announced, then before I saw it coming, february 2023, dlc WAVE 4 got announced, I got even more happy, yet the trailer confused me at first, I was still the most excited person ever, after finishing this dlc today, I was in tears, of sadness, happiness, and some fear. Knowing I have such a huge connection to this series, I had such a hard time believing it was over. but even still, until the next saga starts, I’m gonna keep replaying these games, and still not get tired of these spectacular games. Thank you so much Tetsuya Takahashi, for the greatest game series I will probably ever play. 💙❤️💛
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, though I wish it was longer. It had enough story potential to be a full length game potentially. I wish we found out what happened to Fiora, or Mythra and Pyra. And I also wish that Glimmer and Nikol had found out about who their fathers were.
I got a bit weepy at first too, but they’re not gone. Shulk, Rex and A have merely taken Ontos, Logos and Pneuma’s places in the Trinity Processor. They’ll be restored along with everyone else once Origin fires up and the flow of time resumes.
The two worlds diffusing and us finally seeing what happened at the end truly with just the two worlds becoming whole once again. Was just utterly perfect. That's all we needed to know. The perfect ending from this huge overarching story.
the worlds didnt fuse at the end thats the whole point, they became seperate, fully so again. we see them litteraly drift further and further apart in their lights before they are seperate again, with us seing one planet because THATS HOW DIMENSIONS WORK
@@weberman173 One glows yellow and one glows blue before they both flash white and end up with a green flow. I think it's pretty simple that the worlds properly fused this time thanks to Origin. The worlds are literally like destined by nature to fuse.
@@yagirlmayalazarus6713 the thing is they "flash white" while MOVING PHYSICALY FURTHER APART, thats not how story telling works.
I am just now realizing there might be some Buddhist references with the Trinity since a similar Trinity is in Buddhism, shiva Brahman and Vishnu
Does this mean Noah legit yeeted Malos off a cliff? If Logos powers the Sword of the End.

"Who knows... maybe it'll even be you"
I love that line
Little did he know he was right about Noah beating some sense into N.
Edit:
And the fact that he chosed his own path unlike N and ended Moebius for good.
It’s figurative and literal not only as the Hope born Noah later down the line but the finishing blow that stopped Z infinity was N(oah) himself (along with his wife)

Might have beat ”Your blade… It did not cut deep enough” for me
I honestly loved it, I interpreted as a "it's never too late to change"
I know it was implied that the main game's party reunited at the end, but the sight of Aionios separating and then refusing properly was just the amount of closure I needed.
Yeah! Just that scene alone let me know that everyone, including 3 whether they remember or not, are gonna reunite.
@@exileforever2508 Well they remember cause Noah recognizes the Agnian offseeing tune that Mio played, and if Noah remembered, the others did as well.

59:06 The zoom on A’s eye just like the zoom in on Alvis’ eye at the end of Xenoblade 1. So good.
Matthew is a solid second place for my favourite Xenoblade protagonist right behind Shulk
He was unironically a better character for me than Noah, absolutely loved him
Agreed. I ended up liking Matthew a lot more than I expected. A is still the absolute goat for me, though
Matthew was a very welcome addition. Man its dope to see Rex as a grizzled verteran though and how far he came feom the little kid he was in 2. He really must of looked up to Zeke aswell.
How you not love Fei Fong Wong? He was the beginning and now truly is the beginning
Man, seeing Pneuma’s core crystal in Matthew’s gauntlet might have just been one of the most hyped moments for me in this DLC.
And also knowing That Logos/Malos is technically still alive cause now he lives on in N’s sword of the end when we saw the camera zoom into his blade
@@Iz_zy2099and pyra and mythra's core crystal is in Matthew's gauntlets
@@ThunderDrangonX82 uh yeah, that's what the comment said
@@ThunderDrangonX82 Wrong.

Love it we get to have all 3 protagonists of the xenoblade trilogy in final boss fight (If you include N as Noah)
You should include N as Noah. He straight up is. And is the sole reason Noah defeated Z.
"Who knows maybe it'll even be you"

For those wondering what happened to Matthew during his journey, which is according to the statue depicting him in the city, he never returned. His descendants will take centuries later to return to the city.
If he never returned then how in the hell did he leave descendants? XD
They found the city, centuries later & integrated themselves.
Stop at 1:09:37 and see how the earth resembles similarly to the Moebius symbol. That's a nice touch they did for the story.
And then they became Ouroboros symbol after merged.
Moebius is the process to store all the information of the past, the two worlds. Ouroboros is the process to process that information and create a new path. When Noah and Mio attained both Ouroboros and Moebius powers, Origin could use both to remerge the worlds into one by their wish to both not let go, and still move forward.
We all have a bit of Moebius within ourselves
57:46 I love that Rex refers to Malos and Pneuma. Even in their absence they still have presence be it in blade form as the sword and fist of the end.
I actually really like the idea that Matthew (M) is always striving towards the future while Na'el (N) more or less wants the endless now
But Na’el wants to create a new world with Alvis and Matthew wants to stay in the the same repetitive world with Moebius.
Noah and Mio remember Aionios though
Happy ending but still depressing in a way
Imagining Shulk and Rex starting some kind of void podcast where they can just watch how things go in base 3's story is a hilarious thought
That's gonna be one hell of a christmas dinner when the worlds merge back together. Try explaining all of that shit to the ones who weren't present

@Sean Kock
Spoilers:
Rex in future connected and Shulk are avatars of their true selves. It's why rex wields the blades of pyra and mythra but they aren't there. Glimmer gains her longevity from thr remaining life span of the avatar from Rex. Meaning Rex can no longer manifest an Avatar. Same with Shulk and Nikol.
Can you explain exactly what an avatar is, I heard it's someone taking over another's body or something

Bro logos is not there lmao
@@Typi Exactly. we also see that a lot of places that were destroyed from the two worlds, like The Mechonis Sword, Prison Island, Morytha, etc. reappear in Aionios thanks to them being memories. Like you said, too, Ontos and Pneuma probably had enough data from him.
Such a dope fight and ending cutscene. Love the Zanza theme for Alpha too. Also going back to look at the statues in the City of the founders and seeing the whole party is pretty amazing. If you look at the radio in the city scene, it had the logo of Vector Industry from Xenosaga and the name Dimitri Yuriev was an antagonist in the game. This cements that Xenosaga is apart of this timeline in a way.

I just noticed the Vector logo on the radio. They're really subtly hinting at Xenosaga here. Please let there be a remaster soon.

@@darkwisher831 I thought that was just their worlds though. Are they as people also not able to age?

If you ser when Riku gives magic sword to kid. The Aegis Core Crystal was already with Noah. I still don't really know or understand why Pyra+Mythra picked Noah... it could be as simple as like Alvis. They had a Vision or Foresight of who to entrust the power to.

So, call it "Rift Pollution", I'd say
Good point here, they tied every single loose end.
this is gonna sound cheesy, but I really had a huge connection to this game, I was a bit late for getting into this game.
Seeing Shulk & Rex start to light up got me crying like a bitch. Perfect send off but sad asf they’re gone 😭
Well they are still alive thankfully 😅
I got a bit weepy at first too, but they’re not gone. Shulk, Rex and A have merely taken Ontos, Logos and Pneuma’s places in the Trinity Processor. They’ll be restored along with everyone else once Origin fires up and the flow of time resumes.
The two worlds diffusing and us finally seeing what happened at the end truly with just the two worlds becoming whole once again. Was just utterly perfect. That's all we needed to know. The perfect ending from this huge overarching story.
the worlds didnt fuse at the end
thats the whole point, they became seperate, fully so again.
we see them litteraly drift further and further apart in their lights before they are seperate again, with us seing one planet because THATS HOW DIMENSIONS WORK
@@weberman173 One glows yellow and one glows blue before they both flash white and end up with a green flow.
Origin was never meant to make the worlds "fuse properly" its to ensure that after they eradicate themself they get restored, each world on its own, into its proper state.
also its light.. they dont combine into greenin the firs tplace
@@weberman173 The mental gymnastics some fans will go through because they don't want a happy ending for some reason genuinely astounds me. There is literally zero evidence to support this while everything we see in the endings to Future Redeemed and the base game suggests that it did work.
@@Jotunn96 NOTHING in the base game indicates that it did work except the melody and noah disappearing(which dosnt mean it merged just that noah hopped between stuff)
EVERY single mention about what origin does, and is meant to do, indicates that its SPECIFICALY to make shit unmerge, not to cause it to sucesfully merge.
and the ONLY evidence you have from FR is "the planet glows green a bit".. when it was right BEFORE shown that the worlds where drifting further and further apart, and not the opposite
It's been a DAY. How did you do this so fast?! Are you okay?
