That whole conversation about choosing whether your weapon being made to kill or to protect, it’s similar to shulks whole arc in XC1. He was essentially a tool of death for zanza for his entire life, but ultimately he was able to choose his own path and create a new world. In a way, he’s passing that lesson on to his son, and I love that
I personally think of it as an offbrand application of Alvis' "The Monado does not control itself"-line in XC1. An object is not defined by its purpose, but rather what the one using it wants to do with it or what it stands for for them.

The war and Aionios has been around a long time before that we Matthew even saying his granddad was born sometime within the last 70 years and we know that Noah and Mio had multiple lives before that.

Maybe that changes, but I doubt it. If they were going to be straightforward, they would have done so by now

(Ik his salvager gear is in botw, but rex isn't actually in botw and they just brought his gear just to have link show it off, so that's why it doesn't count) So, Leon has a lot more content than Rex and he kind of gains the upper hand on rex as Leon was a much larger chad before rex even existed.

Architect above, I love what they did with Shulk and Rex for this game!! The way that Shulk took up Dunban’s fighting style, mixing in his own combat skills with Dunban’s one-armed combat. The way that Rex’s new Blade mixes [Coffee with Milk]’s Blade into a dual weapon like Roc, and those two halves of the weapon are Pyra and Mythra’s original Blades?! Oh my Zanza I LOVE IT!!
It's a reference to his final attack in XC2 where he combines all 3 swords into 1 sword. Mythra and Pyra swords on the sides, Pneuma sword in the middle.
Rex blocking the dual ferronis beams with no issue is a testament to his power as a driver. Also the fact he uses both greatswords with ease shows how strong he got, dudes got muscle to put Zeke to shame.
At this point of the story, Mio was recently revived against her will as a mobius and still has to digest that she will likely have to live for eternity as such because of her toxic husband. And neither of the two possess memories of their lives pre Aionios. I don't think something wholesome would come out of this.

@@Palamadurto add onto this Iirc pneumas in matthew's glove, while logos's core was used to make the agnian half of origin. As for alive. Technically everyonrs gone into stasis due to origin. The only survivors by the time of 3 being Melia, Nia, and Poppi.
It seems like they went into slumber as part of the process of creating Origin. Remember that the world of Aionios is a product of Moebius's "endless now", meaning time has frozen in the other two worlds in the meantime, so it makes sense they wouldn't be there, and Moebius wouldn't reincarnate two Aegises that would very likely be able to stop them.
@@airtiger4577 Heavy spoilers: I believe it's also implied that they are the energy that oroborous users tap into - Oroborous seems like a much improved form of affinity, and it's logical conclusion it literally allows multiple people to fight as one, which makes sense as affinity was originally a way for Pneuma to gather data on how life was developing. This then also explains why gathering "battle data" powered up Nikol and Glimmer, it literally improved their affinity rank with each other

At this point of the story, Mio was recently revived against her will as a mobius and still has to digest that she will likely have to live for eternity as such because of her toxic husband. And neither of the two possess memories of their lives pre Aionios. I don't think something wholesome would come out of this.

I think it’s more likely they were killed and forced into the Cycle. They were probably fighting and dying in some off-screen colony that whole time.

Iirc pneumas in matthew's glove, while logos's core was used to make the agnian half of origin.
As for alive. Technically everyonrs gone into stasis due to origin. The only survivors by the time of 3 being Melia, Nia, and Poppi.

It seems like they went into slumber as part of the process of creating Origin. Remember that the world of Aionios is a product of Moebius's "endless now", meaning time has frozen in the other two worlds in the meantime, so it makes sense they wouldn't be there, and Moebius wouldn't reincarnate two Aegises that would very likely be able to stop them.

I believe it's also implied that they are the energy that oroborous users tap into - Oroborous seems like a much improved form of affinity, and it's logical conclusion it literally allows multiple people to fight as one, which makes sense as affinity was originally a way for Pneuma to gather data on how life was developing. This then also explains why gathering "battle data" powered up Nikol and Glimmer, it literally improved their affinity rank with each other
This all happened before the events of 3 yet there are great grand children from 3 in the crew... 😅 smh convoluted much
