I swear riku is something more than the game let's on it even hints towards that. The lucky 7 looks like a monado, is unparalleled like one has story significance like one and they're saying riku just happened to have it in the equivalent of an attic? Then there's an interaction between him and Melia that makes me question him more. The only current theory I have on him is that he's just alvis in disguise or something.
Spoilers: I raised an eyebrow during that nod between him and Melia, like she's familiar with him. Also, it's puzzling to think about who Riku's "Masterpon" was.
It seems that they don't notice when they change class they change clothes too or wear clothes of different characters Their comment when noah first changed classes was "woah you sparked like a bulb" or something This makes me assume that some stuff in the game aren't *actually* like that, it just *looks* like that to us Other examples would be how M is a golden consul even though she clearly doesn't have the drip
I didn't understand this scene at first, so I thought that it was because his blade wasn't actually a sword, but some kind of sheath he can move around. Then he put it around Lucky Seven, so it had the shape of a sword. Then I rewatched it and realized it didn't make sense and it was never explained
I truly wish instead of Lucky Seven the Sword's name was "Xenoblade" dunno if it would be corny(It would) but i would burst out laughing if Noah dropped "Mio, my Sword's name is *awkard pause* Xenoblade..."
@@rubenruben-ruben6039 once you unlock the ability to use the lucky seven in chapter 5 it just screams we gave you a monado that can smash through machines, people, monsters, morbius, councils, yourself, not your girlfriend because M didn't get a slice of the seven slices, (see what I did there?) So for the people still confused about its relationship with the DLC: The moment Mathew clashed with N's sword of the end, it caused a phenomena in Origin that caused Noah and Mio being separated from N and M. Noah inherited Mathew's weapon due to the clash, his fist weapons. You can see it when Noah unsheathes Lucky Seven. The reason it has a sword form is mainly because of Noah not really being a punchy guy and it is more beneficial for him that it stays as a sheared sword,.
I’m confused on why it’s color red, and looks like the monado, even after finishing it’s never explained why, I guess he just coincidentally chose that color to hide lucky seven😅
Its amazing how repeated tropes still work no matter how many times they are used, So he calls Noah weak, but can't land a single hit on him without doing dirty tactics, I don't know if that's just pure stupidity or absolute delusion
These games go less and less into the swords themselves. We knew extensively about the Monado, because that's all characters talked about half the time. In 2, they did talk about the Aegis, but it was about Pyra/Mythra, not much about the Sword outside of the normal Blade rules and that they're stronger when Driver and Blade fight together. This game we get this scene explaining Lucky Seven and a little about its origin near the end of the game Spoilers for the end of the game. Why does it glow and react intensly around Moebius? How does N have a Dark version? It was dark before he turned evil. What's the deal with it resonating with the Off-Seer Tune to break Consul Y's control when he brought back Miyabi? How do more of its space-time crazy powers work? Does it control the ether like the Monado? I have so many questions, and I've beaten the game three times now!
if i had to guess for some of that, based off of just finishing the game recently. It likely glows or does that funky stuff in the presence of moebius because of the origin metal and moebius’ connection to origin. I mean really a lot of it connects to that. Spoilers obvi Pretty much from the looks of it, and i guess what we can infer now from seeing the future redeemed stuff we have. Lucky Seven is essentially like a monado/aegis because it’s connected to origin, like how Pyra Mythras blades are special cause they’re connected to a world spawning computer, and the monado as creations of gods made by like the trinity shit and whatnot. Because it’s made out of the seven different types of Origin Metal, it’s essentially a sword made out of the very thing that created Aionios, origin. Likely a reason for a lot of the funky stuff is cause of that. Moebius Z in particular but moebius as a whole is largely just a manifestation of the wishes and memories of those within Origin, people who fear change death loss and impermanence. Moebius is created through origin, giving essentially a body or form to the collective desires of mankind, the same way that there’s Moebius even in our six. Because the sword is essentially an extension of origin, and also technically created Moebius by that connection, then the sword would react to them, not sure for what reason in specific but that’s likely why. It probably also is incredibly strong and can effectively control ether because it’s basically a sword made out of god, or origin, the thing that’s created Aionios. It effectively can cut through anything or even obliterate the world, because it can cleave through everything it’s created, everything is lesser than it. It’s like making a sword out of jesus that cuts people up like bread. Ok well not at all but you get my drift. It probably also resonated with the Miyabi stuff considering the significance of the off seeing tune sort of conveying the wishes and thoughts of the seer unto the dead, that if moebius exists because of fear of death, and loss. the off seeing tune which in many ways is a celebration of life and acceptance of death loss and change, combining that with the swords connection to mobius likely can fuck with their powers. Besides all the life that makes a moebius real is basically the congealed life force of other dead people, likely the off seeing tune aside from passing them on when they die frees basically everyone including the moebius. So perhaps cause it’s essentially the opposite of Moebius as the melody sorta represents acceptance, it likely mucks about with their power in that way, also cause Miyabi was an off seer and used the melody (or a different version of it) to control them through Y, so likely playing the melody then amped by the sword did that, probably a combo of things As for the colour, aside from the obvious protagonist red sword i think somebody mentioned he painted it. but also likely caue of the way blades work it does seem like their shape is fluid to the desires of the user, they probably only wield one type of blade cause they’re good with it and likely get stuck with it, ouroborous can use multiple blades based off of connections to people but it does seem that people can customize their blade, both in that if the painting thing is true he could do that either with adding onto it, or just choosing it’s form. But also that modifications to the blade can be kept and stored with it (like when you enhance them with origin metal) Noah always i guess has been a sword user, but even then the blade can take the form the user wants and wishes, he made it a sheath so that way he could use the sword bluntly essentially. It also probably explains kinda why it works as a gauntlet anyways, because what’s a glove but a sheath for the hand/arm. But likely he just wanted it to be red. perhaps N just didn’t change the way his sword looked and so it took the by default darker scheme of Keves. while he lived in the city i could assume he probably did come from Keves as well originally. hence his blade taking on the darker appearance, cause while the kevesi and agnians with the power frame and blade shit respectively probably effects their weapons in some way, likely e reason why all their weapons follow a generic colour scheme is cause it’s sorta baked into them as their allegiance, being a kevesi or agnian soldier was all they were raised to know, so it’s reflected by their weapons appearing kevesi or agnian (besides even in xeno 2 while common blades has a uniform appearance it stands to reason that presumably a blade and thus the weapon could take any form or shape/colour etc. The citizens of the city likely have their bronze orange colour as a means to distinguish themselves and to show a separation from the other sides. Ns blade likely looks that way due to his moebius allegiance, taking on the appearance, as well as why it gets purple instead of blue green or orange like the other factions blades, likely also cause he’s using his moebius energy whatever. and i assume when noah took Lucky Seven as his weapon, it essentially became his blade, meaning he was able to recall it especially with how the rules of the world work, plus lucky seven is a creation of origin and also is origin so it likely can play more loose with the rules. but Ns blade likely looked that way as it reflected N specifically
@XenobladeNerd wow, goodness, thanks for the long and detailed explanation 😊 I still am confused on a few things, like how there are 2 Lucky Sevens, despite only one being made. What you explained does settle a lot of my questions, but it would certainly have been better if the game itself explained at least some of it instead of leaving it up to player speculation and theories to figure it out themselves. Like I said, Xenoblade is less and less about the swords as the series goes on. Don't get me wrong, I do still love the game, hence playing it 3 times over, but I do wish it explained a bit more so I could understand what was going on. But either way, I appreciate your attempt at explaining it all!
@Raen it’s because (FR spoiler)… At the end of the game when the gang is fighting Alpha Rex says “if only those two were here” and the camera pans to Matthews blade then N’s blade. A few moments later it’s revealed that Matthew right gauntlet has the pneuma core crystal and the game insinuates that the Logos core crystal is in N’ sheath for his sword.
You know I just realized every time in this game whatever Noah names is never told. Even there child's name which Mio named is muted when she says it and he doesn't want to name it. Was the blades name Noah gave it "Unlimited Sword"? Because that's the name of the attack used with it
So whats the sword that Noah draws from his chest in his Oreo form? is it the same as this sword? im kinda confused cuz there are three swords Noah's lucky seven Noah's sword of the end in Oreo form N's black sword Its frustrating they didn't get into much detail about the "xenoblade" overall the story just seemed rushed tbh they glossed over a lot of stuff and only mentioned em once or twice without going into much detail with the sword being one of them
I don't know if the story itself seems rushed, the narration itself is fine, it's really just that they left a lot of things open that really probably should've been explained in more detail, but again, I don't think that means the story itself feels rushed. Still, definitely somewhat disappointing considering the game has appearently been in its concept-phase since before they even released 2. Although for the blade he draws as a Ouroboros, considering Riku explicitly reminds Noah that "Lucky Seven will let itself be unsheathed when Noah truly needs it" in the cutscene right before he learns to do this, it's pretty clear imo that it's supposed to be the same Lucky Seven, just drawn through the Ouroboros-power (which doesn't seem too impossible considering their blades become part of the Ouroboros, so if Noahs sheath becomes the cape-sword in his Ouroboros-form, then I guess the Ouroboros itself has become the sheath for Lucky Seven?)
i really thought Lucky Seven was going to be a huge reveal, but it ended up being revealed like it was not that important... gotta love Xenoblade for that, it was really unexpected.
question is where riku get it from say it is from some masterpon? cant be melia spirit right? he cant be alive for that long even for a nopon or maybe he is a grave digger and merely return the blade back to the owner after ever reincarnation of noah
This is never said out loud but, Noah renamed the Lucky 7 after the son he had in the past. Noah says in this scene ”rather... something I miss”. Then in chapter 6 when M says N is good at naming he looks at his sword. and then again in chapter 6 D explains that dreams are actually memories of past lives, which would explain why Noah would know his sons name. And then finally at the end of the game Noah puts his head against his sword and looks sad before he throws it away. He's letting go of his past.
I wish we got to see or use Jarons class, it wouldve been an interesting healer. Side note, I'd like to see useable kevesian and agnian blades as attachments for every class.
But why Noah's kevesi sword red? Other swords and weapons seem black and blue. Why is he even hiding it in the first place? To the point he needs sword from Riku? I'm not that far into the story, so I appreciate it if someone can tell me it will be explained.
If you play Future redeemed you would know that Spoiler it's technically sort of is the Monado will more so the swords sheath is Monado which turns into Noah's gauntlet the sheath Powers the sword that is lucky seven as well as the sheath holds Pneuma's Trinity processor Core in it which is the power of Ouroboros and that basically means that Noah wields the sword of Ouroboros
It's implied that he never changed the name because he's bad at naming things Spoiler... When alternate Noah and Mio have a kid he says Mio should name the baby since he's not good at naming things and the camera deliberately pans over the sword and sits there for about 2 seconds
If he did rename it (which is possible, I don't think we ever hear him refer to it as "Lucky Seven"), he said towards the end there that it was "something he misses", and probably already missed at that point (so something like "Joran" is out). Considering Mio also shares Noahs memories, I feel that her saying she's getting "emotional" vibes from it might also actually be referring to the swords new name. So it's probably some emotion, like "Hope" or "Humanity". I feel like it's also very possible the translation might've screwed up a bit there and accidentaly swallowed up some wordplay or something that better points towards its name?
@@hylianfelldragon1308 that’s right, but when he’s a kid, is blade that he summons is actually just a red version of the sword all the other have So why does it change when he’s an adult? Maybe it’s the effect of lucky seven

Either the decendants come back with Matthews gauntlets because he died or Matthew gave them to Riku himself.
Given that him pulling it out for the first time in the game unlocks an exclusive Talent Art called Infinity Blade, I think it's safe to assume that that's its name. Make sense, for someone who dislikes the transience of their existence, it only stands to reason he'd yearn for Infinity.

Then there's an interaction between him and Melia that makes me question him more. The only current theory I have on him is that he's just alvis in disguise or something.
I swear to spark if he has some relation to alvis-
Spoilers:
I raised an eyebrow during that nod between him and Melia, like she's familiar with him. Also, it's puzzling to think about who Riku's "Masterpon" was.
I doubt lucky seven is a monado of some sorts, way too different
@@eggy7346 it was implied that riku's masterpon was shulk
I think he's just Riki's descendant.
They still never explained why only Noah had a blade that was red in the first place. The other Kevesi weapons don’t stand out
Yeah, I thought that was what was going to be explained at this part.
I think it's to be taken as personal aesthetic choice
It seems that they don't notice when they change class they change clothes too or wear clothes of different characters
Their comment when noah first changed classes was "woah you sparked like a bulb" or something
This makes me assume that some stuff in the game aren't *actually* like that, it just *looks* like that to us
Other examples would be how M is a golden consul even though she clearly doesn't have the drip
It’s pretty clear he asked Riku because he didn’t want to use his fake weapon because he didn’t really want to fight
I didn't understand this scene at first, so I thought that it was because his blade wasn't actually a sword, but some kind of sheath he can move around. Then he put it around Lucky Seven, so it had the shape of a sword.
Then I rewatched it and realized it didn't make sense and it was never explained
I truly wish instead of Lucky Seven the Sword's name was "Xenoblade" dunno if it would be corny(It would) but i would burst out laughing if Noah dropped
"Mio, my Sword's name is *awkard pause* Xenoblade..."
I still think there are few unexplained steps between regular red sword Blade and sword-like sheath that turns into badass Iron Man gauntlet.
Riku explains it. The Blade becomes what Noah wants. He wants a gauntlet? It becomes one

Not beaten the game but i am calling it now that this sword is somehow a monado or aegis class weapon.
...
I feel like him and N are both reincarnations of Malos
@@DouchebagT so i figured N was like...the original noah or something. But both of them being connected to malos? now THAT'S an interesting theory
@@rubenruben-ruben6039 To me N acts like Sephiroth in chapter 5 being an evil psychopath almost forcing Noah to off see Mio
@@rubenruben-ruben6039 once you unlock the ability to use the lucky seven in chapter 5 it just screams we gave you a monado that can smash through machines, people, monsters, morbius, councils, yourself, not your girlfriend because M didn't get a slice of the seven slices, (see what I did there?) Do full xc2 driver combo, buff, debuff, INVINCIBILITY FOR GODS SAKE, IRON MAN'S ARM WHICH ABSORBS LASER ATTACKS BTW, etc
So for the people still confused about its relationship with the DLC:
The moment Mathew clashed with N's sword of the end, it caused a phenomena in Origin that caused Noah and Mio being separated from N and M.
Because his gladius is red and he is using it to cover the sword
@@BleidX I think they mean why is the Gladius red
It's the "Main Protagonist" color.
ps it just a regular gauntlet sheath. the sword got nothing to do with it.
@@BleidX That red gauntlet facetanked a laser beam from the Colony Lambda ferronis, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's more to the sheath as well.

Its amazing how repeated tropes still work no matter how many times they are used, So he calls Noah weak, but can't land a single hit on him without doing dirty tactics, I don't know if that's just pure stupidity or absolute delusion
I mean Noah was weak. Weak and arrogant. It’s why the next thing we see is Riku calling Noah out on it

Noah shows mio his blade part 1
I love how this implies that there's a part tw-*hol' up*
Dude so op he is fighting with sheath
Even a Sheath can become a lethal weapon with enough skill.
I like the look of Noah’s old blade, I wish that’s what the party used when they’re Swordfighters
This game we get this scene explaining Lucky Seven and a little about its origin near the end of the game
Spoilers for the end of the game.
Spoilers obvi
Pretty much from the looks of it, and i guess what we can infer now from seeing the future redeemed stuff we have.
So perhaps cause it’s essentially the opposite of Moebius as the melody sorta represents acceptance, it likely mucks about with their power in that way, also cause Miyabi was an off seer and used the melody (or a different version of it) to control them through Y, so likely playing the melody then amped by the sword did that, probably a combo of things
As for the colour, aside from the obvious protagonist red sword i think somebody mentioned he painted it. but also likely caue of the way blades work it does seem like their shape is fluid to the desires of the user, they probably only wield one type of blade cause they’re good with it and likely get stuck with it, ouroborous can use multiple blades based off of connections to people but it does seem that people can customize their blade, both in that if the painting thing is true he could do that either with adding onto it, or just choosing it’s form.
Riku is Yoda level wise
I wanted to learn why N called his sword an Aegis. They just glossed over that and I don't see anyone talking about it online.
he used Aegis in the original context of the word, a really really tough sheild, not related to Malos, Pyra/Mythra, nor Alvis.
@@kelnhide but in* the Japanese version the unlocalized word for ‘Aegis’ is Holy Grail
@Raen it’s because (FR spoiler)…
At the end of the game when the gang is fighting Alpha Rex says “if only those two were here” and the camera pans to Matthews blade then N’s blade. A few moments later it’s revealed that Matthew right gauntlet has the pneuma core crystal and the game insinuates that the Logos core crystal is in N’ sheath for his sword.
TLDR Malos and Noah are loosely related (not in a genetic sense)
You know I just realized every time in this game whatever Noah names is never told. Even there child's name which Mio named is muted when she says it and he doesn't want to name it. Was the blades name Noah gave it "Unlimited Sword"? Because that's the name of the attack used with it
The two names given to the sword are "Veiled Sword" and later when upgraded "Truthsinger"
@@LBCAndrew wait, where is it said?
@@LBCAndrew Pretty sure those are just the names of the sheath before and after its upgrade.
So whats the sword that Noah draws from his chest in his Oreo form? is it the same as this sword? im kinda confused cuz there are three swords
Noah's lucky seven
Noah's sword of the end in Oreo form
N's black sword
Its frustrating they didn't get into much detail about the "xenoblade" overall the story just seemed rushed tbh they glossed over a lot of stuff and only mentioned em once or twice without going into much detail with the sword being one of them
Yes, the blade he draws from his chest is that blade in ouroboros form.
Riku tells us the sword changes based on the wielder’s need/will in ch.6
Lucky 7, Sword of the End, and Sword of Origin are all the same blade.
Ah yes, the Oreo form.

Well they call it the Sword of Origin later
@@Crescent716 good to know, thanks
The two names for Noah's sword are "Veiled sword" and when upgraded its called "Truthsinger"
