How that smile slowly comes to the surface at 3:33 is one of my favourite tv moments ever. I actually sat on my couch, at 5 a.m. (watching online from Germany) and raised my fist in the air going YESSS, he KNEW.
Jane's smile at the end - it's the top of all! What's a genius! Absolutely perfect scene!
I see a few people who hate it. I think it's stunning, the twists, the Lisbon-look-alike. Took me many rewatches to always know those wasn't her legs and back. The scene is necessary and in-character, showing how far Jane would go for revenge, and how the only person Jane would sleep with is Lisbon (in a twisted way).

So it is likely that he already knew when they were sleeping together, but just a guess...
I feel so sorry for Lisbon- she looks like she's having such a horrible time worried sick and heartbroken, to the point it's effecting her work. Wanting to call him but resisting because she knows he won't answer her. In the scenes before it Van Pelt seems concerned for her and makes some excuse to Cho and Rigsby why she is taking personal time. Van Pelt definitely understood Jane and Lisbon's relationship (as she says in season 7)- maybe more than they did!
Jane's certainly got a lot to say sorry for as he later tells her. Only to tell her he loves her later in the episode- something he then later pretends not to remember he said🤯🤪

Nah, but it insanely hurts. Red John raped and murdered her sister, making her into a victim. Patrick revealed it. She wanted vengeance without him. Man, it was sad as hell.

Fun fact: I think the writers chose the name of Lorelei for a reason. The biggest river in my country (The Rhine, Germany) flows through a romantic valley with rugged cliffs. It bends around a particularly big rock known as “Loreley Rock”. Due to the current and swirls of the river passage for ships was dangerous. Over centuries lots of stories and tales evolved from this.
In 1824 one of the greatest German poets, Heinrich Heine, was inspired by the myth. He wrote a poem about a witch named Loreley who caused shipwrecks by putting men under her spell with her beauty and her singing. His poem is enormously famous and deeply rooted in german cultural heritage. I’m afraid the translation is not as good as the original verse, but it might give you an idea of the power of Heine’s words:

Why I am so sad at heart.
A legend of bygone ages
Haunts me and will not depart.
The air is cool under nightfall.
The calm Rhine courses its way.

Fair Lorelei has done.
Does anyone else notice that even on the TV the voiceover it says the predator finally gets her prey. Double entaundres ( sorry for my bad spelling) are all through this episode, if you want to read that much into it.... I go either way, sometimes I think it's obvious & people read too much into it but other times I notice myself doing it too!
Of all the clips they could've gotten, they chose that one. I don't know what else you think people read too much into, but this definitely isn't.
I think it's because they don't like seeing Jane with a woman who isn't Lisbon :)
he might have the smile suggests that but then again he could have honestly liked her but suspected she wasn't all that she seemed(but not exactly working for red john)

Jane never got violent with any women and while searching red john he can go any level but never been violent to any women... lorelai and jane are playing each other...lorelai herself has said no men has treated him the way jane treated him like a nice way...

No jane is not sleeping around kind of guy, he only loved his wife and then lisbon, sleeping with lorelai was just damsel in distress to show red john he is off the hook...it was jane plan to meet red john...its is first time he slept with someone after his wife died in this 9 or 10 yrs it was mentioned in the show...offcourse after few years Jane and lisbon become a couple...

Yeah, true. But for some reason, I don't really think that RJ had a lot to do with the fact they slept together. He wasn't there, right? I know he sent Lorelei, but Jane himself chose to make that step.
A blind man can see that Jane knew from the beginning. This is his whole plan, and Lorelei is as close to a copy of Lisbon as you can get.

I hate all that perversion. Jane sharing the mistress with the killer of his wife and daugther is a shit. This horrible motel having sex whith that woman , insane. Jane and Lorelei don't deserves that filth.
They could have made up some spicy story or shown Jane lost with one woman after another or simulating a fall in another way but falling into a situation as sick as sleeping with the same woman as RJ does not go with the aesthetics of this show. It is too perverse.
Jane would go to any lengths to get RJ, short of sacrificing his friends. This shows that. It's in-character.
@@smurfyday honestly, i see it as very sad. he's prostituting himself, selling his body, having sex without really consenting. it must have been absolutely traumatizing, knowing he's sharing a lover with the man who killed his wife. imagine if the genders were reversed-it would be much clearer to see that this is a man degrading himself.. degrading his soul, his body, his heart
he's even playing into gender role stereotypes (whether conscious of it or not) by insisting that she means nothing to him, as if sex means nothing and it was just mechanical for him. lisbon here is the non-conformity one instead of jane, by intuitively knowing that it caused him emotions. people often see lisbon's reaction as being worried and jealous that he likes her, but i think it must also be worried about how traumatic it was to prostitute himself for RJ with RJ's lover. him and lorelei were both owned whores of RJ, and connected with each other on that.
