    I got the M5 GPS DHC and Motocaddy dry bag recently. Very happy with it both on the course and packed away in my, relatively small, car boot. Reversing the wheels makes it more compact. Love the dry bag as well which has come in useful in the recent weather. My only learning is not to have all notifications from the phone turned on. Got very distracting on the course. I got the extended battery so I’ve still been OK when I’ve forgotten to charge it.

    Heard rumors that a major trolley manufacturer is working on a AI-driven system with lidar sensors and a submeter GPS receiver. Autonomous driving and follow me functionality is achieved by connecting the system to the motor controls. In a ‘programming round' you can define parking postitions at each green and tee box and route safe paths around bunkers and hazards on the display. When playing an 'advance function’ drives the trolley to the next parking postition, so e.g. when hitting the green from 160 yards you could take out the putter and press advance and the trolley moves to the position beside or behind the green. From there to the next tee and so on. With the additional remote control one could still pause the autonomous driving when e.g. a playing partner hits his ball. Then just press continue and the trolley advances on its own. Of course one can always steer by hand in uncertain terrain. This is probably the future of electric trolleys.

      MGI... and they recently scrapped it, the follow me feature is NOT happening, so I switched to this company and specifically the motocaddy M7 GPS.

    So the screen gives you distance to the hazard. Is that carry distance or distance to the front of the hazard? Pretty important to know really.

    Great review, but what GPS functions still work when the 6 month Performance Plan trial runs out? Do you still get 40k courses to choose from? And what about the actual green shape of the hole your playing on the screen? Does the Score card function still work?. - If you choose not to renew the performance plan for £50 a year are all the great features you show rendered useless? Thanks in advance 👍

    Can someone tells us how many holes does standard (18 holes) battery last? Eg. I did 18 holes, 7000 yards, slightly hilly course and finished with quarter battery left. Or Did 25 holes on flat course, drove 9000 yards and battery dies. etc. Thanks
    Info - "Yesterday I finished my home course and battery is OK" is useless

    • @Mikes3DLife
      @Mikes3DLife  3 года назад +1

      I have ran it down completely on a relatively hilly golf course it lasted me 27 Holes of golf so 1 and a half rounds. Most of the time I charge it after ever round even if I just play 9 but sometimes I dont and it has always been fine

    • @marabu1977
      @marabu1977 3 года назад

      @@Mikes3DLife Great, this is exactly what I was looking for. They do not recommend to use extended battery (for 36 holes) if I usually go just 18 so I just wanted to know if it always last for 18 holes when fully charged no matter of hills, big bag or zig zaging to find balls. They also recommend to charge it after each round even it was only 9 holes (it is in the document "How to care for your Lithium battery"

    • @marabu1977
      @marabu1977 3 года назад

      I've bought the trolley and take it to the first ride. :) My home course is 6000 meters long slightly hilly and after 18 holes battery shows about 2/3 capacity so the battery is extraordinary.

    le GPS est loin d'être fiable, sur mon parcours, il "oublie" souvent des trous et je suis obligé de réinitialiser plusieurs fois mon appairage par partie !
    Ensuite le SAV, n'est pas du tout commerçant.
    Perso, je ne recommande pas cette marque, maintenant, vous êtes seul maitre de vos décisions .
    the GPS is far from reliable, on my course it often "forgets" holes and I have to reset my pairing several times per game!
    Then the after sales service is not at all commercial.
    Personally, I do not recommend this brand, now, you are the only master of your decisions.

    I purchased the Trolley in Sept. I am enjoying it with the exception that to me the wheel base might be a little to small. I am finding when I set the trolley to go by it self down the fairway that it jumps at take off and almost tips the trolley. It also does not seem stable going down or up slight hills. As a side not I also have the MotoCaddy Bag. Other than those issues I am enjoying it.

    • @Mikes3DLife
      @Mikes3DLife  3 года назад
