"My sword sings of silver" What a bad ass finale words
So the old man (Setrakian) turns into a vamp too?
No. He requested to be killed before that happened.
@@danylively Nah he goes out before he turns.
the most satisfying moment of not just the season, but the series as a whole
From the gist of it, I think he planned to send a message...
It was satisfying - but - he died too quick for my liking. 3 *entire* series of being an UTTER basterd and he just coughs some foam up on his knees for 2 minutes (tops!) then is quickly dispatched via decapitation. That's it! Nah, he didn't suffer _nearly_ enough, in my book.
...Plus he was a Nazi! ...just saying.
....Surely that's worth a flaying at least, right? 😉
It's so pathetic. But at the end, there is no interesting thoughts in your head, you stinky fan of alucard.
Yes indeed
Read the book if you want to know what really happened to him, oh my god is this shit.
I guess the only loss/death that went close to the master....his most loyal servant, almost like his only friend and confident.
Well it was also his last remaining servant with actual intelligence. Losing him forces the Master to run the show completely which while he is capable of doing it, also limits his capacity to oraganize and multitask.
@@trueblue6201 he is capable of giving sentience to any stragoi but eichorst was his most loyal and effective soldier. Few could replace him even if they're given sentience.
Actually this is what the Oxido Lumen's way to destroy the master besides the sun light (nuke)
"In another face, in other eyes , you will see me as you die ".
Abraham was TRUE badass and warrior...
My favourite moment of the entire series. "My name is Abraham Setrakian and you should know I'm not a number any more." The look of horror on Eichhorst's face was fantastic. He is probably the most evil figure in all fiction, and it was brilliant how they intertwined the evil of the Master with the butchery of the Holocaust.
@Daniel k Well, who is?
raphael44ify Why do you worship this show so much😭😂
@@ic4192 idk. It's just brilliantly scripted and acted. If you're a sci-fi freak like me, this has got everything. Vampires, global holocaust, nuclear bombs, the lot!
@@CathyKitson He's certainly true evil, but nowhere near the evilest.
@@sebanimega4189 You don't think so? I cannot think of anyone more evil.
Walder sents his regards
Lmfao
Say what you will about adaptations, but I think expanding Eichorst's role as an antagonist across the series (rather than a single novel) was an improvement over the books. Made it so much sweeter when he finally got what was coming to him.
Agreed. Eichorst was barely a footnote in the novels. I remember reading them wondering when he'd show up (I watched the show first) and he was barely there a few pages.
Satisfying and overdue fate
@@Mike_11_16 That is dissapointing as I have just watched the show and am starting the books. Eichhorst is the best villain ever.
This was the best moments throughout the entire series
He wanted to talk to the Master and scare him
Fucking subhuman prick.
season 4 acting was improved drastically. I like this show its most underrated. Season 4 is post apocalyptic world
"The Winter has come to house Frey".
I just watched all seasons and this guy is a great actor!
I love this show.
Richard Sammel is amazing!
Too bad they couldn't have the old man start an evil laugh as Eichorst drained him.
sonrouge lol
I liked a sentence from eishorst: people are afraid to choose an alternative in life, so they choose the easy way
This is one of my favorite scenes.
Should have to Eichhorst he wasn’t a number any longer…he was his executioner.
Do you think the master was actually upset that Abraham killed his first servant, or the fact that he actually cared about Thomas when he died?
The Master was upset because Eichhorst was a servant he couldn't easily replace, not because of genuine care.
Think of the Master as a very vain and greedy Dragon and Eichorst as a serious investment; the Nazi was his prime agent, his eyes and hands and voice in the world of men, for years. The Master isn't bereft or anguished like he lost a loved one - the monster's furious because his most valuable asset has been destroyed by (in his own monstrous perception) a yappy cut of jerky.
This reminds me of Season 6 in Supernatural where Dean kills Eve by ingesting Phoenix Ash and baits her to bite him
Maia does something similar in Shadowhunters
Watching from Nigeria can’t stop watching until the end
So satisfying.
If Rian Johnson directed this episode, Setrakian would've passed out right before delivering the killing blow. You know, to ''subvert expectations''.
You are laboring under the disillusion that subverting expectations is a bad thing or you are relying on the internet troll definition of the phrase. Expectations, while useful guidelines, if not subverted every so often would leave life boring and without exceptional moments. Subverting expectations opens new pathways and allows beautiful moments can be explored. Take falling in love for example. You may expect to fall in love, you may imagine who it will be with, you may even have a time frame for when it will happen but you never truly know when or with whom it will happen. It could be the person you meet in a restaurant line, your neighbour, or even someone on the internet. Until it actual happens you never actually know when it will. You may expect your partner to be someone with same interests as you or have blonde hair and glasses only to find out they are exactly the opposite of your expectations. You see expectations are the way you expect things to go and every time something goes against your expectations they are subverted. Seeing a rainbow on a walk, a beautiful sunrise, making a new friend, all these things can be and almost always are subverted expectations as you did not necessarily expect them to happen in the fashion they did. That is what a subverted expectations is, something you did not expect. They are what makes life more than just a repetition of days and I will not let someone say subverting expectations is undesirable.
@@trueblue6201 that's a lot of bullshit to write instead of you just saying "I have no taste in film and as such I rather enjoyed the last jedi. Your decision to mock Ryan Johnson hurt my sandy lady bits and he must he avenged!"
Zach killed countless people and he wasn't even a vamp
He knew his time was up, if he couldn’t destroy the Master. He could just finish Eichhorst as he was the one that made his life into a living hell.
Now abraham may die. Now And rest in peace., Because he did the last mission that e been through years of pain. Because of his wife "miriam"
FUCKING GOOSEBUMPS!!! VIVA ABRAHAM!!!
Joey Witt rite yeah bro
*Yoriichi and Muzan be like*
Poor Walder Frey started eating his sons after being bitten.
Magnifique!! Y'a t'il d'autre français ?
Yep
Eichorst is no longer running and was outsmarted by his rival.
No body gives enough props to Augutsine
Very smart the oldman...😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
wait does this guy play Walter Frey in Game of Thrones? sounds just like him
yup, he's the reason I started to watch the strain.
Walder Frey would be good at killing White Walker's lol
Eichhorst looks like Thomas Müller lol
Was that marlo from the wire
1586/10
! Pozdrawiam fanów !
His Romanian is terrible ... :,)
@Rudy Campos my sword sing with silver was in Romanian
Ty for the Spoiler
This show has been out for ages, if you haven't seen it yet, that's your problem.
Ok boomer
Eichhorst my favourite character and the bast i cry why killing thomasa
I was hoping there was medicine that could counteract the effects of the Warfarin. And that the worms couldn’t infect Setrakian because of his blood being poisonous to them. Would’ve been an even greater victory for him, then. But this was very badass anyways.
ENJOYED it so much! Although the professor sacrificed himself it was neccessary for the many meaning mankind. He also was able to show his dominance of the time of his death.
CHERYL WILLIAMS yeah hun
But only because the others succeeded.
If he did not kill Eichorst, I am sure the Master would not have risk his life to retrieve the nuke in the last episode of the series.
This show started out so strong, then the poor writing and oblivious people(mankind) ruined it for me. It was like no one outside the main characters knew what was going on until the very end!
I don't agree. It was a complicated story, but easy enough to follow. It wasn't perfect and there were things that could have been done better, but it's still the best sci-fi series of all time.
This criticism is valid for the Walking Dead. The Strain creators were smart enough not to unnecessarily extend the story with too much influx of new characters ~ what the walking dead has done.
*like no one outside the main characters knew what was going on until the very end*
and? even in the real world shit like this happens, look at us in Quarantine for the codvid19.
raphael44ify It is definitely not the best sci-fi series of all time😂
Disagree with your comment completly. Just look at the world now, does anyone know what really is happening with COVID. The assumption that information would be disseminated and not be held for private gain or greed and that people would band together is hard to believe. Just look at the US when the individual states were in a bidding war against each other rather than a triage or use first scenario. Totally believable.
i used to watch this as a kid and for some reason i stop watching it i think it was cause of zach but now ive rewatched this show again and goddamn i just never felt so sad when someone died in movie or show matter of fact i almost cried when i saw setrakian get bit but also felt happy that he actually killed eichhorst like he got what he desired and he died honourably i didnt feel as sad as i felt for setrakians death when eph died because he was selfish if zach had let master manipulate once more than believe me the whole world would be dominated by vampires i also kinda felt happy that eph died because if it wasnt him it wouldve been vasiliy or dutch im not saying that it wasnt sad that eph sacrificed himself but i was happy because now he is with nora once again but tbh its kind of making me sad that there is only 4 seasons of this show and not 10 or 11 because this show had best villain and the story was very good setrakian was also very interesting character with interesting backstory and the fact that his intention was to avenge his wife he was very well written character
Small reminder that hell is real in their universe.
Such a good series with an amazing ending. I'm reading the books now. Just as good
How many books are there?
@@bryannamongitore7737 Three
It's sad that Setrakian have to died.
This scene right here is the only good thing about season 4
If he took that much warfarin then the neck wound would of continued to bleed profusely.
He was drained and infected. Maybe the worms act like a blood thickener.
I loved the realistic bent to this. Setrakian was hopelessly outmatched against the Master and his numbers, and couldn’t possibly hope to hold his own in a one-on-one fight with Eichorst and walk away.
The Master and Eichorst made the mistake of assuming that was a problem for him.
Eichhorst was the best villain in a tv show. Played brilliantly by Richard Sammel. You hated him so much, which means he acted perfectly.
THAT old dude from WORLDS end is rly fucking awsome!! Go bassil
Walder Frey great choice of actor I must say Got really brought out the potential of people
Waldee Frey? Woah
Always a long stupid speech before the swing... that's how he let the master go the first time he had him
*0:16* Resident Evil 😂
I wouldn't argue with him either
The only work Marlo could find.
Price of the worm goin' up.
Marlo finally gets his end
He could have cut off his head from behind, why did he choose the method of poisoning?
He wants to die he’s tiered of living. He wants to speak to his enemy before killing
The dude basically faster than a human.
And also, he had to slow eichorst and prevent him from running away
They still need to make a series o Born
Love that scene so much!
"Donny?"
Such a great show!
Simply the best show ever.
Frey from game of thrones
After reading the books and how amazing they were they changed so many things in the show that it made the show horrible
That french saying he said translated says" my sword sings like my farts don't shit on the silver platter" I don't really know what it means I find it very strange.
