Setrakian, in his earlier years, disguised himself as a caretaker for "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" so that he could research the school's library books in the restricted section to find out how to kill the Master.
And no one suspected nothing. Setrakian had to pretend to be a cranky old man in order to throw the Master off the trail. The Master has also a tendency to dismiss the things he can't comprehend as irrelevant: He understands love, but on an extremely shallow level, which in practice means, that he doesn't.

The entire show could’ve been just about these two and it would’ve been good. Their story is the stuff of epics. A life long rivalry destined to end in bloodshed.
The strain has to be one of the most enlightening series about the human race , you'll never view the world in the same way after watching this all seasons
@@masteroftheassassins The Master has that otherworldly nature that doesn't strike much of an impact. Eichorst, on the other hand, has a human monstruosity that hits much closer to reality, even before his transformation. The beauty of a great villain lies on its simplicity: The closer to real life said villain is, the better.
One of my favorite scenes of all time, what’s so great about it is you don’t need a super amount of context for it the vendetta that these two share is as real as it is palpable. Eichorst is not a myth or a metaphor like the master he is as real as cancer
Eichorst was already a monster even before his transformation: A sociopath who would degrade, stomp and discard others in order to get what he wanted....and that included sacrificing Helga, the woman he had a crush on (and who was a Jew) in order to advance his own career.
The first season of this show was absolutely phenomenal, let's just pretend the rest didn't happen like how Pacific Rim fans pretend its so-called sequel never happened. Now why they didn't make Eichorst the Master, I have no idea but Richard Sammel is a national treasure in this show.
Just an opinion, but making Eichorst the master means there's no one to administer the masters long-term dirty work. Making the Feelers, buying the bomb, and setting up the blood farms. Eichorst was there from the start, showing the master how to better organize human extinction in the death camps. So a guy like that is someone you keep in your back pocket.

One of the best scenes in my opinion. Eichorst's eyes are completely covered in the shadow which represents how dark and mysterious he is.
Eichorst is by far the best part of this show.
Killed to soon in the books and the show fixed that
My favorite is Abraham. He's actually in my top 26 favorite character list.

Hey What about Snake Plissken have you watched Escape from New York
This scene and the last time they see each other is so well written
After seeing the entire series & knowing what they're talkin about in this scene just drives it home even harder. Great show & superb acting

In the books Eichhorn was a footnote

Personally, I find Eichhorst to be far more terrifying than The Master.
He’s more of a monster than the Master is.

@@sebanimega4189 Whereas Eichorst was a monster even before his transformation.
@@masteroftheassassins Setrakian himself agrees, because when he met Eichhorst, he was a human, but just as monstruous.
I thought this show was meh, but these two kept me watching for a long time. Great actors, great characters.
Every time he grins Eichorst reminds me of the Gentleman played by Doug Jones in Buffy’s Hush episode. Doug also plays the Master in one form.
Their dynamic was incredible, loved every second they were on screen.

The best scene and great actors play. This part of the movie is unforgetable.

Making Herr Eichorst the master didn't make sense. Then you have the master with no servant
Be funny if the cops played back the recording of this conversation
If Abraham could break through that glass, he would CRUSH Eichorst throat with his bare hands. You can feel it.
Nope. He is nothing but a stinky human.

Eichhorst was a chilling character.
Given the Ancients origin, it’s odd that Eichhorst mocks Setrakian for believing in God. He probably never knew.
Because the way Setrakian learned about the Ancients was as evil monsters, not an almighty God who would protect him while in the concentration camp.
My sword sings of silver!
Thank you for posting this 😍😍😍😍
Eichorst made this show. Brilliant actor.
He may not be a hero or a savior and he may no longer be a number but one thing Abraham always was and will be is a hunter
This scene was so intense, it's what got me hooked instantly.
Abraham's expression is always the same throughout the series!
