- BACK ON THE ROCKS! My first trip out rock fishing after knee surgery and it felt great. It's also a chance to use some of the fishing tackle I've bought while being stuck in the house thinking about fishing whilst not actually being able to go.
One particular australian lure catches loads of fish, but can it catch a pollack.

Very enjoyable being along with you Sir, thanks for a good vid and keep that line tight!😊👋🏻 🎉
Thanks for joining me Dale, much appreciated. Tight lines👍🎣
I’ll say this again your content is the best online … fantastic
Nice one Nathan glad to see you back doing what you do best, catching fish and scaling rocks, glad the knees healing well mate, tight lines
Thanks Mick, it's great to be back out again. Tight lines👍🎣
Brilliant..found Slippy Limpets via The Fish Locker channel. Thank God SWMBO fishes as well and doesn't watch Eastenders. My evening viewing sorted
Great session - so happy you are managing to get on the rocks again!
I'm chuffed to bits, LV, I love fishing from the rocks!
Surgeon: take it easy, nothing too strenuous
Nathan: hold my beer, I’m going down the back of the MoG
One way to test it out! Good to see you rock hopping again 💪
Well done at getting back mate. Get em videos going again and some big fish.
Hopefully be getting into a better stamp of fish shortly!
Eyup Nathan. I got that same reel about three weeks ago and found myself using my left hand more. Insert gag here. It's always good to see you next to some proper water. Stay well now fella. I'm starting to find the Bass now - lots to learn but I'm on my way I think. Thank you for all the inspiration. I'll sithi after! Dave.
Alreet Dave, Being able to use both hands is a big advantage for when one gets tired! Brilliant little reels, I think i prefer the BG Mag sealed one, it has an anti-reverse for shite anglers like me and is a wee bit slower on the retrieve than the MQ. Still, I really like the MQ it's as smooth as Gazza's head and doesn't cost a bomb. Glad your finding the bass!! Tight lines👍🎣
@@SlippyLimpets That's the thing - you have to spin the bail arm manually to get to an accurate casting point and flick it off if you wind too far. All left hand work if your a righty like me. Cheers fella!
Great to see you back on the cliffs Nathan, nice fishing too. 👍
It's always in the back of the mind first time out after a knee operation if it's going to be ok good to see you had no problems,, had my left done about 8 years ago and it's as good as new so I'm hoping for the same result for the right knee in a couple of weeks,, 🤞🤞,, lovely marks down there 👍 that tide rip ,, something else like a river
Aye, I'm still not 100% confident on it, but yomped up a couple of scottish mountains at the weekend and it handled that OK so looking good for the future. Hope your 2nd op goes well and you get back out sharpish! Tight lines 👍🎣
Nice one Nathan. Good on ya getting back out there & trying something new fella.
Well done on working out the best technique for fishing the Aussie lures. Glad the knees feeling good as well mate.
It's getting there, a few more sessions and I'll find the best way to use them. Tight lines🎣👍
nice one nat good to see you out again
Thanks mate!
Welcome back Nathan. Nice little session and to see some different lures. 😊
Good Morning Nathan , Another brilliant session mate , take care & tight lines
Always nice to hit a few pollock great fun. 🎣🎣🎣👍🏻.
The never fail to bring a smile to my face. Tight lines🎣👍
Great session Nathan.
Nice to see a Geordie using Aussie paddle tail soft baits, awesome Nathan once again 😀👍
Looks a dangerous place lol.. great to see you out an about 👍😎
Good to see you back out on the rocks again mate, and your knee is fighting fit again. I've never had a sniff on the lazy lures but I have been doing a lot with casting jigs. The pollack go mad for them. Sink and draw, fall like a slow jig.
Thanks mate. Yeah the pollack go nuts for casting jigs, I've had my biggest fish on them
nice video bud great info on the lures and nice to see them at work and producing ,in such a great mark glad your knees on the mend , cheers stay safe
Like the positives from the session. Glad your knee is getting solid. I fully sympathise with your injuries! I have various currently that are stopping me from lure fishing. RSI in my forearm 😵💫
Oh no, that sounds terrible 😒Hope you get rid of them soon enough and get back out lure fishing. 🤞
Great your back out 😊
Cheers Kevin!
Really enjoyed this video mate, take it easy on the knees, I had issues with mine in the past so recovery takes time. Liked and subscribed!
Lures incoming looks like abit of me can’t beat rock fishing
Good to have u back mate another good vid
Thanks Davy!
Great video mate. I got my self a couple packs of them lazy lures. I'm going Anglesey tomorow so gunner give them a good work out and thaks for the tip about the super glue I'll defo do that. All the best mate tight lines 🎣🎣
Hope you got amongst them mate!
Bin going down there 20+ year's well done you've knackered that fella
Enjoyed that, Avon skin so soft for midge repellent.
Cheers mate, It's great for midge protection, just don't get the shimmer version!!
One of my favourite places to fish. Great video ❤
Great video, Nathan! The Squidtrex is one of the most consistent lures and catches absolutely everything. I really miss those rocks hey. :)
I bought a few to try out this year, not tried yet
@@apiscator444 You'll love them mate!
Not a hoopy frood this week, then?! Great to see you back on the rocks.
Nice session mate, hope the knee holds up.
thanks Geoff, it's holding it's holding up so far
Nice one Nathan buddy!
Another great video Nathan, good to see a decent amount of Pollack down there again, last time I was there it was like a desert. Never known midges down there either, and safe travels past my bass grounds 😉
Is it me or do the pollack seem to get smaller each year? I'll keep passing them when I've got the camera with me😜
@@SlippyLimpets Long time since I seen decent Pollack down there, not a patch on years ago. I tend to fish the west side around Logan now, some very good marks if you're prepared to explore.
Cool video those vibe lures look interesting I got some glow in the dark squid lures I'm going to test out next time I'm on a deep mark you just inspired me to give them a go
Another great video. Good to see your knee working. ❤ I knew the lazy lures I gave you were too heavy for your style. Nice to see you on the lighter ones. 😂
They are from the shoe, but work great from the boat. Not sure hwta it is about them but they don't half move some water compared to similar lures from other brands
@@SlippyLimpets yeah. I have had some great fish on them. Including a 9lb pollock from the boat. :) I always wondered how a vibe would fish around here so thanks for taking the hit. Good luck with the recovery. ❤️🩹
i think you must be in galloway on the end of the solway firth take care mate tides a really big
Aye, they're massive over that way
Looks interesting. Wonder if the bass would like em 🤔
I've had a small bass on the 8g version since filming this, i think they've got potential!
Avon Softskin for the midges Nathan.
Aye, that goods stuff, just don't buy the shimmer version like I did. I'm not into all that glitter, unless it's in my lures
What is a good rod to get started on for lure fishing watching a few videos wanna give it a try
where do you get your soft plastics and jig heads bud?
All over the place, I look for shops having sales and by in bulk
Can you actually drive all the way up and park by the lighthouse? I have been there twice this year and had to park far away and walk half an hour or longer. When I turned left from main road there was a gate, closed
British fishermen, catch and release is the norm 😂😂😂
I was there last weekend when two people and their dog in inflatable canoes decided to go from the bay around the headland and then had to be rescued from maybe 2 miles out by the portpatrick lifeboat
What do some people have in their heads to think that that is a good idea!
They sound nermmmmm
At Our age it's a No Go
I do stuff like this all the time not had to be rescued yet tho 😂
@@paulosrcs185 😂 same
Is it just me or is the audio running at double speed?
Hi! Where's place?
Less talking and more fishing
Ok
Rude
America? 🤭
Bingo!
