    It’s like I’m fishing without actually wetting a line. I connected to the point of what you get from “just being out fishing”. Being so landlocked as I am in the midlands, I ache to be by the sea with the rods. Normally I’m using the lures but the Bristol Channel with crab and a couple of century rods and fathoms is still a great way to spend a day or two. I need to get back on the bait!

    Hi Andy,
    Great video and very informative.
    Like you say not much room for
    Many anglers so always a risk (used to get the bus there!) but prefer night and winter tides as hardly anyone around including swimmers which don’t always understand the danger of casting a 6oz lead so be careful! Also everyone please don’t leave fishing rubbish there to keep relationships with all good.
    Amusingly I actually had a member of the public follow me down the rocks as I landed a 8lb conger asking questions, hence fishing at quieter times.
    Fished that venue a lot over the last 25 years. Loads of codling, double figure conger and rays, sole, 2lb flounder but never had a bass!
    Tight lines.

    Really enjoying all the different venues and the long videos. I like the estimate of how far you cast each time as you can’t tell by looking as a viewer.Great video!

    H Andy, as a kid in the 80s I used to fish the pump house/ gun implacement were you were, the beach in front of the amusements, the bandstand and the area by the pier as they were all easy walking from my home, the pier is still fished anytime by pier club members and only when open to anyone else, around the Pill headland is the small harbour and a low Water mark called Black Rock, just up the coast from there is Kingston Seymour then Weston s mud ,hope you enjoyed your trip to clevedon.

      @@SEAANGLINGADVENTURES hi Andy, forget to say a way I was shown to undo stuck spigots on rods, grab either side of the joint put the rod behind your head and twist in opposite directions and pull at the same time, works about 98%of the time

    Blimey, that's a feature length film nonetheless couldn't help watch. Well done Andy. I usually fish Ladye Bay but heard there was a landside or something that closed the coast path. Never thought of fishing near the pool, always try to avoid crowds and that place will get pretty boisterous when the weather warms up. Good content and great to know that you've found fishing again. BTW your scissors were behind you, oh yes they were 😉

    When you say “baits at distance “ what do you estimate the actual distance?? And have you ever measured it on the field?? 🤙🏼🤙🏼

    • @SEAANGLINGADVENTURES
      @SEAANGLINGADVENTURES  7 месяцев назад +1

      Best cast on field is 249 yards mate , but I’m no where near that with bait on . Anywhere from 150 to 180 yards I would say on a good cast , if I’m fishing with 20lb main line. Or maybe more with 15lb main line
