Bobby Osborne - mandolin
Sonny Osborne - banjo
Paul Brewster - guitar
Jimmy D. Brock - bass
From a VHS tape with realy bad quality, the guy that "panic" recorded it from TV had inserted the first available tape he found and there is probably some material missing in the begining of the show.
Part 3
This guy's voice is amazing, he could sing the phone book and I'd listen
No body can ever come close to this harmony, no body!!! Love the Osbornes. (Maxine Brown)
You all did Maxine you your sister and Jim Ed could sing some awesome tunes
Sonny is a genius. He sounded absolutely great on that Stelling.
Bobby and Sonny, hard to brotherly harmony. Sonny is on my Mount Rushmore of 🪕 banjo players . Pure talent!😊
I love listening to them. It all blends together so well and I love their vocal melodies together.
Love to hear Sonny play that banjo.
They used to play at a Steak & Ale in NW Houston on pretty much a weekly basis. I went several times....good stuff !
By far thé best bleugrass players and singers i have heard ! I have never enough of them !
Love these guys. Been listening to them from the 50's
Bobby's singing and Sonny's banjo playing are superb. Sonny is especially good with his fills and back up. Maybe most important is the bounce he puts in his playing.
good picking / singing the best.
A great entertainment group, and a great credit to bluegrass..Thanks fellas and God Bless!
Rest in peace my favorite lead bluegrass tenor. Great singer and musician . Korea veteran, great human being. My hero is gone but never forgotten ❤
Glad i can hear them on here im so blessed to be related to them on my moms side.
The Osborne Brothers sing this better than anyone else. They were great.Glad to know Bobby is still out there singing.
That is a remarkable high lonesome. Bobby's the man!
beautiful singing, and some really fine banjo plunking, espically the backup parts...trust me, hard to keep all that going. :-)
I love Bobby's high lead voice!
Once in a lifetime voice!!!!!
Beautiful Haunting Harmony. wow.
Super sound quality....LOVE the Osborne Brothers!
True old bluegrass, thank you.
True bluegrass had a stand up bass
Just great! And Sonny and that banjo!. Pure country mountain bluegrass.
It just seems to me that Earl and Sonny got something that all the others just ain't got.
I can't explain it.
Sonny showing his stuff... On that Banjo...
I bluegrass music and these are some of the best .will be coming back to this site often .like the page.
We Will Miss you Sonny. Already Do
Best All-time Bluegrass voice
Rest in Peace Bobby & Sonny 🥀 Reunited June 27/2023 . Never Forgotten
i wish i was born earlier so i could seen them ,,
M Griph Me too.
Beautiful
Love mandolin part
Sonny's backup from 1:22 to 1:37 is bad behaviour! He's out of camera shot there, but you can HEAR him smiling to himself with each bend and harmonic chime. This is delightful, naughty boy banjo picking. So much fun!
Sonny's fill at 1:15 after the mandolin break... and all the way through the 2nd verse...
Great group!
Great banjo work!
Absolutely beautiful and very beautifully done!!❤️👏✝️✝️🌹🌹🛐🛐💕💓🇺🇸🕎💗🎆🌄
The best sounding blue grass bands anywhere
Im in love with Sonnys banjo playing and Bobbys voice
The Osburns are absolutly one of finest Bluegrass groups of all time. Sunny had such fun personality. Those of us to have seen them in concert are so luckey. Thanks for the posting.
mandoliteo
love the Osbornes
Love the Osborn brothers
The video may a bit funky, but the audio (the really important part) is good... thanx for posting!
My favorite version of this song ❤
Great recording, despite questionable video quality. Glad someone "panic"recorded it, and thanks for posting.
High class act!
June Osborne? Someone (Commander Fred) has taken you from me (Luke). Love bluegrass and "The Handmaid's Tale" and the Osborne Brothers singing this classic Bill Monroe song seem to combine the 2!
Music at its finest
Best harmony in the Blue Grass Biz.
American history. Awesome.
Now THIS. I call true American. And I love it!
yes
Don't worry about all that crappy vhs stuff,it is actually better than a lot of phone captured videos.I thank you for uploading.
Sonny was in top form on that Stelling banjo!
The swedish people knew the right band to play some bluegrass! 🇸🇪🇺🇲
Simply the BEST.
Excellent vocals as always. The left- handed bass is unusual.
Not only left handed but electric. Very unusual for ‘traditional’ bluegrass like this
Come to t the flea market in Bonita Springs, FL. We play it there every week.
Love OSBORNE BROTHERS 🎵❤
@SixMoreMiles1 Bobby's still performing, though, with the Rocky Top X-press. Saw them at the Grand Ole Opry last week. Great show.

Ellen Olsen hn
...ever notice how Bobby holds his mandolin?...with the neck exactly parallel to the floor !...that looks so good !
That's bluegrass my friends that's how it's done right there
No, Sonny is on the banjo and Bobby is singing lead and playing mandolin. Pretty good, aren't they?
Goodstuf ❤️ 🎉😅😊amen
I notice they did not have a fiddle player in this concert.in Sweden.
Sonny was the best banjo picker , overall
I come because Elvis recorded this song in 1970.
Questions please?
I love this music... it's a dying culture
Elvis also recorded this song.
the only difference between Feb and March is 24 hours!
bass guitar cam!
sounds very like irish country, have you stolen it
You have the song Checking her over?
thats bobby osbourne on the 5 s dtring aint it?
A period here or there in your prose would help. Like this. Breaks it up. So we can figure out what cher tryin to say.
What is the audiance doing?! Swedes....... They don't know music when they hear it. Just sitting there.... Im from Sweden my self and man! The Osbourne Brothers are the best!
i read the description wrong is whats it was
I came here cuz of Anne of Green Gables
You think the CMA's mean something that music plainly sucks when you have to play off of a real and not from a dj and you can call in and request what you want then it sucks like todays music no heart
Voices not Well balanced!
The bass player is terrible. Too treble sounding. Overpowering the rest of the instruments.
