I loved Sonnys goofing around. He was fun, and funny. Good sense of humor, as do I. I miss both these guys so much. Makes me cry. I'm looking forward to seeing them in heaven. ❤
Man, this is great video. I've seen clips of this set before, but it's great to see it all. Sonny was at the peak of banjo playing here. They were the best!
I thought that was it! ‘‘Twas me sitting on the edge of the stage shirtless dark as a biscuit! I was 12 years or so old! I saw my uncle whom I was there with standing over beyond Sonny yellow and white hat in some of the first of the video! I sat a watched them my first glimpse of them live Opry stars ⭐️ in my eyes to! The film crew finally asked me to move I did but wasn’t fer away eyes glued on them ! Enjoyed every minute of it!
Not Knowing that just a few years later I would have the opportunity to introduce them to stage on several occasions an then continued with Bobby as Rocky top Express I spent 10 years at Beanblossom as Mc !
My grandma was Ruby and now my youngest granddaughter is Ruby. Grandma 👵 went to college to be a teacher in the early 1900s taught one year.. hated it.. went to nursing school and became a nurse. She worked at the State Insane Asylum where she met and married my grand father. That was before Woman’s Liberation. I’m an independent woman and I guess it’s in our bloodline 😅
Muddy Bottom, Say Old Man, Take this Hammer, El Randa, Leavings Heavy on my Mind, Salty Dog Blues, Georgia Pineywoods, Reuben, and Ruby Are You Mad. Enjoy! 😊
I saw the Osborne many times back in the seventy's. Sonny Banjo playing is just outstanding. Earl Scruggs was the best, but Sonny's style is wonderful too.
I’ve been a critic of some of Sonny’s goofing at times everyone else was trying to play a good tune. Not here though. Just spittin Fire. But this is something you can’t go see anymore and I miss it. These giants are all gone.
The only negative I can see with this video is that there should be six 0's on the amount of views. This is awesome! Cheers from New Zealand.

What’s crazy is Bobby kept his voice great into his late 80s

Bobby and Sonny look great! So tan, smiling, full of life and music.....Paul and Jimmy Brock look good too...
Real gem. Point in where i think sounded the best
Lord bobby we miss that smile
Sonny always smiling, miss him.
Them boys got the best. Sonny's Granada is stout as a raw ramp on a Sunday morning. Bobby's Fern is cutting the bark off a tree.
