What is that instrument Sonny is playing on "Nobody''s Darlin' But Mine?" It looks like a Selmer Gypsy Jazz guitar but the neck looks like a 5-string banjo. What gives?
Sonny called it a git-jo. Essentially, it's a guitar with a banjo neck & tuning. I believe it was his own invention.
