So can u plsss help me how to set velocity wt a i want in mpclive standalone mode
I tried it first, that's all. Sure, i could have just used the envelopes. My tutorials are seldom planned, so I just do what I feel necessary as I go along.
@@TUBEDIGGA Ok, actually I thought, these chopped-off hihats sound really bad, I wonder what he's going to do with them ... and then you used the envelopes. :) I got an MPC One for a couple of weeks now, and I'm trying to see what and how people do with the MPC. So far it seems that the only sort of music people actually do is basically the old choppy-stuttery sample clippery, like cutting off pieces from photos and building a picture out of those. But "real" music is not done, and I'm inclined to think that it's not even possible. There's no smooth continuous audio warp like Ableton's "Complex Pro", no warp markers and audio quantize, there's not even cross-fades for audio track regions. The only possibility you're left with is the clipped photo composition sort of art.

@@SirMalikCobra There's no reason for not having something as rudimentary as cross-fades, except prioritizing developer hours. Of course you compare machines and you tell the makers about it, it's called feedback.
@@yzimsx Comparing is useless... You either find a machine useful or you don't. I never said don't give a dev feedback. Feedback is critical. I doubt you find a machine that has met everything on your checklist and if you do just get that machine. The reason I add the effect before is so I can hear the kit altogether and make the necessary level adjustments therafter. Otherwise making the level adjustments before seems a waste of time as the effect most likely will cause me to adjust them anyway. But I’d be interested to know why you do it the other way round.
@@TUBEDIGGA Well, e.g. in the video you say that the snare is too loud which can be seen in the sampled loop, like you showed us. Then you use the gain effect to compensate that. This would not have been necessary if you had leveled the snare before and just turned it down to fit to the level of the kick and the hats. Or did u see the gain fx as a creative effect/sound design effect?
@@MakingMadBeats The gain process function was to purposely saturate the bounced loop. It’s one of the best ways to artificially boost a samples overall loudness. There's so much to learn about the MPC, I'm overjoyed that I bought mine just as the 2.10 update came out. Thank you for this video!
I am very not surprised that this video has zero dislikes. Effing comprehensive and awesome!!!!

Absolutely killer video TD. On the money as usual. You don’t go off track, just tip after tip. Thanks 🙏

Man, you have all the talent and the knowledge!!!
Congrats!!!
Hey hype synth has record crackles. You can add that to the sample for that vinyl feel.
nice. been looking for this exact sound/sample. where is it located within Hype? as it's own preset?
The hype synth is a plugin I don't think you can add it as an effect. If you can how?

Absolutely amazing tutorial! Thanks again for everything we are learning from you! Cheers!
This was really useful, TD! I'm still getting to grips with the MPC way of working and there was a lot of fundamental tips in this. Cheers
Sounds like MOBB DEEP's "Temperature's Rising". Way to go mate!
Always so useful. Karma, good it will be for you..
To you thankings I give, small green one.
Your kick was a bit faint since the attack on the compressor was quite quick, thanks for your videos!!

Crazy video bro..stunning work.....have to try this asap......peace bro.
Very helpful video for sound designing drum breaks. 🧔🏽♂️👍🏽
damn...I thought I knew my MPC fairly well. much more reading to do. awesome vid.
This is real dope! Gonna have to study it plenty. 👊😎
Great job on getting the stock sound gone
Another incredible tutorial. Thanks!
Tube, I use this sample cd from 91 called ZeroG Data File 1 - 3 and Xstatic Goldmine. I sample off those to my mpcx/Renoise.
insanely good tutorial, thank you
Thanks for the tip, sounds great.
That hard compression is really putting me off, but other than that some nice tricks in this one again!
always get something from your videos Mr Digga
A huuuge thanks to you, this was really clear and super helpful! I look forward for other videos like this one in other styles!
I should've subscribed long ago. Better late than never.
Or alternatively sample an actual break! Good vid mate
Very interresting video! Many thanks for this!!
Dope Tutorial!
Sounds like it was sample from a record!! 🧔🏽♂️🤯
Fantastic vid. Much appreciated.
Thanks, very useful tips 😉🙌
How do i load "the volt" onto my MPC 1 ? Never really understood the way to do it, akai can be overly complicated with this kind of stuff
great video, appreciate the knowledge!
Nice upload, thank you sir!
How do I get the vault stuff into my MPC? I did the firmware update but I can't see as much content in my browser🤔
I just updated 2.1 and it won't overdub or record midi into any projects I open from 1.9 or 2.0.. its very depressing
Great video thankyou

Has the 2.10 slowed down the hardware or made it crash in any kind of way?
Not for me, no.

Why did you chop off the hihat samples, if you were going to shorten them with envelopes?

I don 't use chanel mixer for the fx in drum program simply fx seul program..explain me please chanel mixer...
Channel mixer is where you add insert effects to entire programs or outputs (returns, sub mixes or main)
I would have leveled the individual drum sounds before adding any FX to the whole drumkit. Just my 2 cents, though 😎
