love the chords, so pleasing
i just bought an MPC One a week ago and i found this video very very helpful! i appreciate people like you my man 🙏
Thank you for this!!! As a 50 year old producer this helps me a lot 🎧🍷
Normally I see a custom skin on the new MPCs, I wanna vomit, but yours is so classy. Well done.
Nvm. I saw the policy change. You’re my guy now because we love the same styles and you are an experienced pro.
Great content! You inspired me to buy MPC Live - since then I made more music than ever in my entire life! That bassline you programmed is very cool.
Great Video smooth n cool Neo Soul Groove 🎹🎧🎼

Awesome as always ❤️
Thanks for explaining how to get the rhodes together. I sawl multiple videos of people making songs saying the rhodes comes with mpc but couldnt find it besides this one , but had no idea i had to change it to this. I asked them where their rhodes were located but no answer ( im new to this so a lot to unpack )

Tube Digga Soul 💜
Nice Video. I'm really getting in to NEO Soul type beats. Where did you get your skin for the MPC ONE? Thanks
I will never get over how beautiful your MPC On custom is. I recognize the main jog wheel but are the q links also from MPCstuff ?
Cool. Sometimes I use the chords feature with midi out into a keyboard to get better sound. It is a good way to create the musical structure of the song. Sometimes I delete my chord track after I add the other parts which also can make it sound a lot different.
Good video
thank you for your video , but I have a lil' problem , I didn't find the same bass you have in the plugin bassline ,my preset by defaut is : fat sine . could you please to give me the same bass you was showing us ? thank you again for your great tutorial !!!!!
Skillz!
Is there anything you 'can't' make? ☺️ ~ tip top stuff as ever fella...
For some reason i dont have a default on electric , it starts with ballad ep. I do see a init at the end, is that changed or something with a update ? Because i dont have a default nowhere.
The bassline is my fuckin nemesis,!
Mpc Freezes
Learned a lot thanks bro. Didn't know you could change the swing like that of something you've already recorded. Does that swing all the tracks or just the selected one?
You can choose which events or tracks to affect
@@TUBEDIGGA Thanks. So when you adjust the Q link from the main page, are you affecting the swing of the whole selected track?
@@tom22333 You can choose to swing the whole track or selected notes
Do you know mrhythmizer 2.0?
Is this possible with MPC-X standalone for making psytrance?
@R_WE
Can you bring any VST into the MPC? I’ve never used one before.
Sadly no. but there is talk of third party plugins coming
I noticed at 2:33 when you go to your browser, your kits contains an 80s kit. I think I've seen this on a couple of other MPC One videos. Is that kit specific to the MPC One? I have the 1st version of the MPC Live. I of course have the MPC Vault and Essential Instruments in addition to a couple others, but I don't see any kits titled as 80s anywhere. I like to do synthwave and post-punk music, so a dedicated 80s kit would be dope to access. If it's not specific to the MPC One, can you tell me what expansion they come from? I do have a ton of my own 80s machine kits, but I like how quickly the official Akai expansions load and how well integrated they are, often with complimentary fx built into the patches.
I think if you go to the Akai website you can download the default kits if you have a licensed akai product registered and an account you should be able to download the kits if they’re free
@@louie1litk619 yeah, I lhave the MPC Live which I registered the day I got it new. Maybe I can reinstall “the vault 2” and see if it’s in there.
Where can I get those cool custom knobs?
Amazon or eBay
Hi again. This content (both information and music) is my Jam. If I join patreon is the project file still available or is it now legacy content that has been removed from access by Patreon members. If it’s available I will gladly join your patreon.
Hi Carl - just seen your message on Patreon, I've re-uploaded the project files for this, thanks again for your support!

I'm not feeling some of the off bass notes that not going with the cords. I assume his not a true musician or keyboardist like myself! Other than that nice Video!
I'm not a trained musician so maybe to someone who is, I'm breaking rules - but then I'm free, which can sometimes lead to more interesting results. I wouldn't say whatI've done here is off key or inharmonic, and if it is it was purposeful for the sake of 'funk'. I quite often purposely throw in a 'kink' so things don't sound so conventional. Thelonius Monk is a good reference, a lot of his work was wonky, and I recently saw an interview with Herbie Hancock where he spoke about the same thing, he got bored with playing standards and started to throw in non conventional notes/chords - it was Miles Davis who influenced him to do this.
@@TUBEDIGGA my coolest high hat patterns are the ones where some of my hits wont register or double tapping by accident. I have never been able to do that type of groove with intention.
mistakes are cool!
@@vaktmester.snaddermann Yes the magic happens in happy accidents for sure
@reno_keytar you sound like a square brah!art is art everything don’t have to be by the book this guy is teaching and inspiring hundreds if not 1000’s of creators. Im sure your passionate about music too just came off condescending.
I'll say it again. Sampling is not an artwork of any kind. Saying cutting and pasting others artful work don't make you an artist. They would be like saying a person who took different painters painting cut and glued them together as an artist as well. A art will compose and write original works. You can use samples to start or end a track or song but if all of it is samples it not art! Sorry. I can speak on this because before most of you cats I was doing r&b and hip hop in the 90s for signed artists like Rass Kass. I did session work at the Aftermath studio in Studio city. I use and used samples back in the say and now only I create music on top of it or around it. Nothing like what I'm hearing nowadays. Not very much talent to use a loop samples and program a beat to go with it and say you made it. You made the beat. I'm very talented and have dine music for fiom and TV. I play several instruments sing mix write and produce music in many different styles including trap and EDM. The kids today don't have the talent we had back in the 90s like Teddy Riely DarkChild and Timberland who is also used samples but has real musicians play with them.
