It's a double edged sword: if to many top players pick Steve it will probably get him banned, but if everyone plays Steve then the Steve counterplay meta could get developed to a point where Steve wouldn't be considered as viable.

Yeah.. I tried Steve as well for the first time for a whole day and I wasn't on the train that Steve is *that* op but after just toying with him he's really..really dumb, he does too much too easily is the problem. Like if the stuff he did was legit hard it would be fine, or more fine.
I main Seph so I never had much of a problem against him.
Sephiroth is so good but I can seem to get him down as Ken. When I play as Seph I clown on Kens so idk lmao
Yeah as a Steve main, I still struggle against Sephiroth because of constantly being outranged by his sword.
I have beaten Steve in a one vs one tournament online with bowser jr and my final opponent was an incenoroar either he would get beaten by Steve or me. The tournament had only two stocks and my opponent got diamond picaxe on his last stock and I still beat him.
It's only a matter of time until the FGC mains realise Steve is the real best shoto in the game.

If they just made it so Steve could only place blocks on the ground he’d be so much less broken and more accurate to the game. If he’s in smash 6 whenever they comes out I hope that’s a change they’ll make along with some other stuff
Yeah like what if you could only place blocks offstage if you made some sort of bridge of blocks that start at the stage and go to the block limit, so you can’t just place a block anywhere and make it more canonically accurate
Steve can place blocks in mid air. Thats also lore accurate. Fucks sake they implemented diet speed bridging

If you mash A during Elytra, you get extra height when going vetical. I think Esam was the one to find it
Steve is such an interesting character to me (not sarcasm). He’s got a lot of technical stuff that you need to know to be good, but the moment you know that technical stuff, his game plan becomes the most simple and glue-eating strategy in the game. Fascinating how that worked out
