Common issues in new Nexon EV 2023: 1. Android auto and apple carplay don’t work. No solution despite taking the car to Tata dealer. 2. Driver side seatbelt alarm stopped working. 3. The music system is very random, (a) loses all the info arbitrarily (e.g., FM channels, synced Bluetooth devices), (b) never stops playing music even after stopping the engine, exiting the car, and locking the door. 4. The boot release button on the remote control doesn’t work. 5. The carpet on the floor that has come with the car (not the accessory) is very uneven and can feel the bumps in the floor in several places. 6. The motor sometimes jumps when accelerating from slow speed. This is random behavior and almost feels like it skipped a cog or something. 7. Uneven gaps everywhere (bonnet, doors, dashboard, etc.). The concept of symmetry seems to be missing everywhere.
I took delivery of my nexon empowered MR(MEDIUM RANGE)almost 3 months ago and these are my observations after 5000 kms. 1.Range-200 to 230 in city. 240 to 270 on highways(Got a range of 270 on my trip to Hyderabad) 2.Service-I took my car from Luxon Tata Kottayam and service experience was very good contrary to my belief. In the beginning there were some software bugs which were solved by a software update on first service. 3.Ride Quality-Excellent and unparalleled. Overall very happy and saved a ton of money on fuel.
@@tomk735 Hi bro Since mine was MR varient I charged a total of 7 times.(I should have taken the LR🥲).I will give a brief summary of trip. 1.Started with 100% from Kottayam. 2.Stopped at vadakancherry saffron restaurant.Charged to 100 and has food 3.Stopped at cafe Udupi Avinashi 4.Next charged at thopur toll plaza charger 5.Slow charged overnight at a hotel near banglore airport. 6.Iocl charger at Rudrempeta 7.Kurnool Andhra Pradesh 8.Hotel Sindhura Telangana I charged the car everytime when SOC was between 20 and 35. Some tips. 1.Always try to charge the car to 100%(Tata batteries are of LFP architecture and cell balancing takes place during the 90 to 100 phase and if we skip charging to 100 manytimes some cells may go beyond minimum voltage and Battery pack gets damaged.Most of the ev users are unaware of this and is one of the sole reasons for battery issues.) 2.Use plugshare(Select chargers with good plugscore) 3.Select chargers near restaurant so can save time of charging while having food. 4.while selecting chargers make sure there are backup chargers nearby(use plugshare for same). If you follow all these we can travel without any stress or tension.Feel free to ask any doubts.
