I still have the exact same copy of the game I got for my 7th birthday, and it still works despite being scratched to fuck. Good old PS1 CDs, a harsh wind could scratch those things.

Thank you sooo much 4-8 productions. I saw this video in early August 2019 when I just started to play ff7 for the very first time and I had 0 ideas about any of this materia. It almost blew my mind. I only knew what lighting and fire materia did after the first mission. But today, October 4th, 2019 at 8:24 PST, I got the Materia Overlord achievement on steam. This helped me sooo much. Thanks again.
I honestly don't know how you don't get way more views. I mean I know the final fantasy fan base (and definitely the final fantasy 7 fan base) has died down quite a bit but you put so much time and creative thought into your videos that it's crazy to think that you don't get at least 10 times the views you usually get. This one in particular. Mostly because I never beat FF VII back when it came out and am just now trying to complete this epic game once and for all before the remake is on shelves. You can also get Choco Mog in the Chocobo Sage's house by talking to his chocobo. Only if you missed it at the farm of course. Pretty much whatever chocobo you can speak to can give it to you.

For alexander materia you can also just run around trying different paths for a half n hour determined to get it because you remember seeing your big sister get it when you were 10 yr old, man my sister was really good to do all tge stuff she did back then without the help of youtube, even getting a gold chocobo and knights materia. Ahhh the good ol days.
the one thing that stands out to me about FF7 is the chocobo raising and racing. I spent so much treating all my chocobos in the stables as if they were my real pets i even took the time to walk them all for 10 minutes everyday lol.
The funny thing is, i raised them all so well they were absolutely amazing when it came to race time and ive not been able to raise a half decent chocobo since. since then ive always had to resort to the race cheat where you hold down the 4 shoulder buttons but i didnt know about that as a kid...
I must have done something different when i was younger.

One small thing that a lot of people aren't aware of - when you try to dig in Bone Village for Bahamut ZERO, you will *only* have a chance if you have failed to receive the Huge Blue Materia. Let's suppose you had obtained all 4 Huge Materia, but had missed out on one of the 2 Bahamuts, then you would not be able to dig for Bahamut ZERO on disk 3!

PS... I always felt cheated getting a gold chocobo in exchange for the desert rose from the kalm traveller, due to the fact that practically anyone beating thebruby weapon would by definition probably already have needed to breed one already... I ended up with 2 gold chocs.. Incredibly by a stroke of luck they were of contradictory gender, so for the hell of it I mated them wondering excitedly what might happen, well I can tell you, you get a plain ordinary yellow choc out of it!!

wow ...ok....i came here looking for a certain question to be hopefully answered and the video is a 36:44 minute long risk.....2 minutes in my question was answered which was how to duplicate materia that was awesome (-saved me a ton of time watching the video).....just kidding on that last part lol thank you 4-8productions for this and all your videos. great job truly helpful
I remember a guide I used once saying the huge Materia that was in the train was either the yellow or green Materia but when I failed it on my first game the blue one was missing even though the guide stated the blue was in the Rocket, my guess is the blue one will always be the last one you collect.
Yeah, when you miss only one, you always miss the blue one. They're "right"... only in the case you get the 4.
The colors actually depend on their location AND on how many of them you gather.
I just investigated this to know what are the exact colors:
Corel -> always the green one
Condor -> always the yellow one
Sunken submarine -> the red one, or the blue one if you scan the red submarine after the Rocket event. Sure at 90% it can't be the others, unlike below.
Rocket -> one of the colors you don't have yet! The priority order is green, yellow, red, blue.
I remember being there for the quadra Magic materia. The Highwind would always rotate before landing. Good times
Kujata is a bull with a ruby mountain on its back that lives on top of Bahamut in mythology and in some myths Bahamut is also riding a giant whale/fish creature. It is funny to think of a Final Fantasy Kujata, riding Bahamut, riding Bismarck (or maybe Leviathan).

All these I've known for a long time but I've been going through all your content on ffxii at come to the conclusion that even though my friends all called me the walking guidebook for this game you have done far more even with my 87 playthroughs this guide was slow to start but I enjoyed it good job XD
The first time I played, I thought there was a blood stain on the ground after I fought Jenova on the ship, and so I never collected Ifrit. Back then, I really needed it, too! It took me 12 hours to explore and complete Midgar that first playthrough.
Weird thing in that save is I unlocked Meteorain before any L 2 limit breaks, and even when beating the game never unlocked blade-beam. I actually unlocked Meteotrain fighting the boss on the highway after the bike part. So, I had Meteorain before I left Midgar, and before any L2 limits.

The rocket passcode in Switch is BXAA, which is slightly different from the key combination in playstation

Just as a warning, 29:50 The Snow enemy is bugged on the PS3/PSP digital version with glitching text boxes and can even freeze the game. This is for both the Alexander fight and if you fight it in the Battle Arena at any point.
