The water crisis in Punjab is getting worse. In terms of groundwater extraction, 117 out of 150 blocks in Punjab are "over-exploited". Currently, various initiatives are being taken at the level of thought and implementation. In Punjabi University, Patiala, an organization of researchers "Research Scholar Association" has conducted a discussion on the topic "Water Crisis of Punjab" on 10/8/2022. Harbir Kaur (Assistant Professor, Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib) and Sukhjit Singh (Assistant Professor, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana) from Agriculture_and Environment Awareness Center to share ideas about the initiative to be taken at the social level regarding the situation, causes and solutions of the water crisis.
