- Taking a look at the NEW Holosun EPS, picked up the 6 MOA Green Dot and I've been running it for a while now, dive in and see what my thoughts are!

I have the EPS carry (red dot MRS) and love it. It would have been really nice if the material they chose was titanium instead of aluminum.
I have the MRS EPS carry in green and it’s really nice for its size. I’ll be honest I’ve beat up many Holosun optics and I’ve not had any take critical damage that prevented the optic from running, really just cosmetic. We’re talking 4ft drops and using it to chamber a round, but you can’t go wrong with more durability!
HOPE THIS HELPS.. many comments I have read people ask what would be best the eps or eps carry for there pistol. When deciding you need to think of a couple things.. 1. Are you going to be CC it or not.. 2. What is the width of your slide I say this bc of this is on a sig x macro or g43x something that is thin I would say the carry is hands down what is best.. yes the standard eps would fit still but the eps carry would hands down be best. Looking up the specs of the width of your pistol vs the width of the eps or eps carry will help you decide what is best for the specific pistol you have and what it is used for ...and if it is cc or open carry
I’ve owned and used this daily for over 6 months. Great optic. However, if you use it daily you will be changing the battery every about 2 months. NOT YEARLY. The solar panel on top ensures a dim dot when the battery fails, which is a great feature.
Must be unique to your optic? I’ve been running mine on the same battery that came with the optic for about 5 months now and it’s been solid, no dimming, flickering or signs of the battery being drained yet but I’ll keep an eye on it!
Do you use the shake awake feature?
I utilize the shake awake feature.
I carry all day everyday (where legal), even at home.
I do have a serial number like 17 or something.

Do you prefer the EPS over the EPS carry on the 509? I think that the suppressor height sights on the 509 mrd would clutter up the window on the EPS carry due to the deck height being lower than the standard EPS.
Definitely the EPS on something full size like the 509 the window is good and big. Even with the tall sights on the CC Edge they didn’t feel in the way but if you want to really enjoy that view you’ll want something shorter.
Couldn’t you just add an adapter plate to make the EPS a little taller instead of getting new sights?
@@kudos3961 it was already sitting on an adapter plate, you don’t really want to add multiple adapter plates. If you had something like an RMR or 509T or Delta Point Pro these would probably sit at the perfect height, the EPS was designed to sit real low though.

I have not tried it yet, I will now after this video. I was going to put a 507k on My CR920 but I think I'll go with this
Check out the EPS Carry, it’s the same features of the full size EPS but the size of a 507k. I’ll have a review on one coming out soon.

@RoboGlock 17 it is not the comped version. Standard elite version. The dot is great ,I have had no issues with ammo. I used 125 grain syntec, and my standard carry rounds, which are gold dot Speer all run great

@ShinaniGunz I bet . I noticed in your videos you changed the iron sights on your cc edge. Did you do that before or after you mounted the optic? Why did you change them? Thank you
I changed them just because I wanted something lower, they don’t do witness very well so I’ll need something just a bit taller. Only reason, I changed them after I put the optic in and ran it with the stock sights for a while.

This specific one does not it is the 6 MOA green dot only.
Where in Michigan are you from ? Near Frankenmuth here.
How is your battery holding up with the 6MOA? Does it go out really last possibly 50,000 hours. I read some article saying it lasted 5,000 hours and was kind of taking back by that. I should be getting mine next week sent my Glock 19 slide to be milled for the kfoot print. This is my first red (green)dot just hoping I made the right call.
I use the shake awake/auto off and I have it set probably around level 6 brightness. I’ve had it since December, carried it daily, put somewhere in the neighborhood of 4K rounds through it and I’m still running the factory battery.
Thanks. On a G43X does it need a mounting plate (or dremel)? Or is it direct mount?
On a 43x you’d need an adapter plate if it’s the MOS model, or you could modify the posts by shaving them down if you’re confident in doing so. It won’t direct mount, if you want a plate I recommend CHPWS. Unless you’re wanting the larger EPS the EPS carry will fit on it better as it won’t hang off the sides like the standard EPS will.
@@ShinaniGunz C&H is fucking awful. Getting a good plate and(especially) screws) from them is a crap shoot.
How many times have you had a bad experience? I’ve order many plates and they’ve all been good for me.
@@ShinaniGunz The last plate I got from CH for a 509 was so out of spec I had to take a file to it to get the optic to fit.

The EPS is a great dot for it!
@@ShinaniGunz I just wanna make sure the suppressor height sites aren’t getting in the way of the red dot
@@kudos3961 they don’t get in the way per se but they are certainly present for a co witness if you had a catastrophic failure with your optic.
