So it looks like I completely forgot to mention Rotigus' Deluge of Nurgle ability hah - obviously that's REALLY good especially with the fact we can DS 3" next to any enemy & halve their OC meaning you can steal almost any objective. I do think Rotti is better than GUO as an ally but otw GUO all day everyday 😜 Anywho, let me know what you guys think of the vid or if I missed any fun combos!! Keep your eyes out for Tzeentch next
'Daw, appreciate the comment friend. It's crazy how kind the community we've got is, normally on the internet you expect the worst out of people but genuinely it's been such a great experience to do all this videos. Anyways, tyvm for the kind words & I'm glad you got a kick out of the vid!!
I think a common problem, not just with Nurgle, is that small Daemons characters cost almost as much as the units they lead. Skullmaster is 100, Bloodcrushers are 110. Epidimius is 80, PBs are 110. Syll'esske is 120, Daemonettes are 100. You get the point. It never feels worth boosting a unit of 110 point with 80-100 point character when you could just pay 220 for double the units. If I was able to double up to 20 PBs for 220 and then have Epidimius lead them, it'd be a different story, but you can't.
I think you explained it better then I did hah, great points & I'd say you're spot on for moat of those characters. I remember when 10th rolled around & they reduced all the squad sizes to x10 it was a surprise for most of us, maybe GW hasn't come around to how they really work now though because yes I'd much rather just bring another squad then risk the Assassinate / reduce my efficiency
You were so energetic and i can tell u genuinely love this i can feel the energy through the screen which is how i no this is a top tier list. Every other tier list i have skipled to tbe end because they bore me but u both kept me entertained, and kept it at a fast enough pace that i never lost interest or had the thoight (when will this en) keep up the amazing work!!!
Playing Mono-Nurgle daemons left me feeling a little cold during 9th edition, and same deal at the start of 10th edition, but with the points + rules changes, things finally got cooking. There's actually some Nurgley sauce in this pan. Always fun to bully elite armies like Dark Angles or Grey Knights by doing what I call a "Screen Check". Oh, you didn't completely screen out objective X on turn 2? BAM, I deepstrike a Rotigus in withing 3.1 inches, halve your OC and movement stat, oh, and here's his friends, 2x 10 Plaguebearers who are within 6.1 inches of you with a +1 to charge buff. Oh, and those 2x10 plaguebearers are going to be swinging D2 lethal-hit weapons in your face due to the other buff Rotigus gives. And then I do that again on turn 3 with a regular GUO + 20 other Plaguebearers, hopefully on their home-objective as they attempted to pivot more forces towards the other objective I shat on the previous turn.
Thank you very much! Not gonna lie, it makes setting up for a vid incredibly easy & helps with visualizing everything. Either way appreciate your comment & I'm glad you dug it!!
Excellent Video! I started with Tzeentch as an ally to my Thousand Sons (in 8th) and moved on to Nurglings, and the Great Unclean One (with shiny gems...chaos). I am gluing my Plague Drones and working on enough models to go full Nurgle as an option. Your advice helps my orders of construction for what I have.
Yeah using them as allies is basically I how started my Daemon collection too. Needed some friends for my Death Guards, realized how awesome the other gods looked too & it sorta grew from there 😜 Hopefully we get some awesome new kits once the codex drops too
Great vid dude, I agree Nurglings are still mvps. Been running 2 in my list, one escorts GUO and the other gets paired with a MSU Beast of Nurgle for positional scoring.
Great video i'm currently in a crusade using mixed 70% nurgle 30% khrone. Last night got tabled in 4 sad times, love your content keep up the good work. As for the great unclean one model, i built as the unclean one and magnetized all weapon options including rotigus weapons. Then used rotigus head, left over unclean one head and all the bits left over. Added the bits left over from the beast of nurgle box which nearly makes 2 anyway, combined all together and using das putty made 3 beast of nurgle.
These are some of my favorite comments to read lol - hell yeah, glad to hear it's helping & congrats your wins!!! I love too, learning to be good at Daemons just makes you better at the game period
I enjoy how all the greater daemons in these review vids are in the A+/S tier rankings, just goes to show that despite the issues of 10th. GW really nailed it with their data sheets, and since the release of 10th it’s really just been all uphill for Daemon players.
Yeah I was thinking last night just how good our statlines are overall, obviously the deepstrike is great too but it feels like that's one of the main things going for Daemons - just damn good efficiency overall. I *do* kinda miss the Exalted Traits (or whatever they were called) from 9th though hah. The 8D cap for BT or the 3++ for LoC etc were kinda fun. Too strong maybe but fun nonetheless!
I think sloppity is so much better than the pox bringer, the extra movement and forcing battle shock are both really helpful, while lethal 5+ is turning a bad damage unit into a not good damage unit
I definitely like the Lethals & obviously the extra movement helps too. Yeah he's not terrible just doesn't fit my style I'd say! I think for casual play he is perfectly fine if not good tbh
fok yea, keep em coming, i just finished watching slanesh, refreshed youtube and this one pops, can't beat that another problem with the scrivener is that comes only in the box of AOS spearhead nurgle
Yeah to get pics for the thumbnail I realized GW doesn't even list Epi or Scrivener on their website anymore. Doesn't bode too well for the future sadly :)
Same here. They took him off the website so they're either axing his kit or remaking it. I kinda lean towards the latter because of how popular he is. Would be great to see a modern kit for him, I can only imagine how badass it would look
Appreciate you giving your input, Epi is for sure one of their best characters so I could see him having even more value than I give him credit for 😜 Nice list BTW! Legitimately seems like a great way to run mono Nurgle, personally I'm not super sold on Brigands usually but that's because I mainly run mixed god, for mono they'd be a great choice though
@fatarchon thinking about splitting up the beasts to have more action monkeys but the plague drones often snag actions too so i have just grouped them together.
Idk if anyone's said this but the soul grinder does have a base and it's way bigger then a Guos base so his actual in terrain layouts I've played impossible to move without just up downing him. His a couple mm short of completely covering an objective marker which is funny if you just keep him back field.
Oh god yeah that base is complete BS hah. Luckily though, the instruction booklet for the Soul Grinder says to only base the model for AoS / Fantasy but not to use one for 40k - so feel free to rip that bad boy off if you'd like 😜
Great video! Im still building my first chaos space marine army and have 100 points left over, would you say 2 units of nurglings are still a great option? Or maybe a 3rd rubric marine squad Or 4th legionaries squad! Thank you
I have just started playing wh40k did my first game. I find the nurgle army to be by far the coolest looking army. Is it possible to play a nurgle only army? And what would be a good 1k points starter setup and strategy. Thanks!
Great video as always! Do you think it is a Risk to get into Daemons considering the rumor about GW absorbing their codex into their God aligned chaos armies like death Guard etc.?
I've heard that rumor too but tbh I don't buy it. There'd be sooooo much backlash & I bet Daemons have a pretty good profit ratio from all the GDs they sell. They're also supported in AoS so maybe I could see them one day splitting them into their own respective gods but I don't really see them getting rolled into the other armies. Even if they did it'd prolly be like 2+ years away imho
Lmao, that'd be such a fun thing to see on the table too 😜 You know though, now you're a *really* making me want our next Tzeentch model kit to be Green Horrors. Make them big MELEE brutes that split into smaller & smaller ones as time goes on.. Damn now I need to call up GW lol

Unfortunatley, you can't use your GD as droppod for a Soulgrinder when using his Base which is about 6.3". In my community he's usually played with his base.
Ohh that sucks man! We're super "anti base" out where I'm at (WTC ruled it that way too luckily, so most tournaments are the same for me) I will say, worst case scenario you just DS 6.4" away so you still get a 6" charge at the end of the day 😎
My real concern for Soul Grinders is the pivot rule, without a round base ( that was the norm for Leviathan WTC ruling ) from the looks of it SG must pay the pivot tax so he loses in movement and charges.
Before pariah nexus you were losing waaay more then 2" if you wanted to slightly turn a soulgrinder, they deffinitly didnt become worse because of the pivot rule
Exactly what Ruben's saying. It used to be much worse, now you pay at most 2" to pivot. Sure that knocks them down to 6" but it's better than the alternative. Nope! I believe it's in their army specific FAQ's. Tbh I don't know of a single tournament, WTC or not, that requires them. Heck none of the kits I bought even came with the bases!
For the GUO isn’t the bile blade better than the flail? I always thought if GUO is in 6” range you would want to be tying the enemy up in melee with him as they just won’t be able to kill him, and the. The flail is useless as it’s not pistol right?
Well don't forget he's a Monster so he can still shoot in melee, just at -1tH. I think if you bring Rotigus the blade is worth considering but otherwise I prefer the d6+1 especially because I hit a unit outside of combat or the sort!
Epidemius is not in AoS 4. Speculating he will get dropped from Nurgle overall or hopefully get a new model when AoS faction pack is replaced by army book. I like his model but it is the old metal one, but he could use a refresh.
Yeah they took him off their website a good while back, that's almost always a bad sign. Spoilpox Scrivener looks to be missing too though he *might* stick around
At 500pt tbh you usually just bring whatever you own it whatever looks best :P That said I'd prolly go along the lines of... Poxbringer Nurglings Plaguebearers Plague Drones Plague Drones Beast of Nurgle Technically you could bring a GUO instead but he'd be incredibly unfair at 500pt lol
At only 90pts I think they're pretty good! DG do have an abundance of decent scoring options but getting the 10" move on a single model with an efficient wounds-to-points is worth it for a lot of lists I'd say
@ashhammond5652 pusgoyle's are *slightly* larger but not by much + they both use the same base size, so yeah you'd be fine to run them as Plague Drones. I know some people use them as Daemon Princes too!

I’m a new subscriber do you post army lists?
I need help building a 500 point list 🤓
At 500pt tbh you usually just bring whatever you own it whatever looks best :P That said I'd prolly go along the lines of...
Poxbringer
Nurglings
Plaguebearers
Plague Drones
Plague Drones
Beast of Nurgle
Technically you could bring a GUO instead but he'd be incredibly unfair at 500pt lol
@@fatarchon this is true! I’m starting this army anew so I’ll start at 500 then 1000
Thank you for the vids and help
What about bloatdrones
At only 90pts I think they're pretty good! DG do have an abundance of decent scoring options but getting the 10" move on a single model with an efficient wounds-to-points is worth it for a lot of lists I'd say
@@fatarchon what about plague drones for daemons
@@ashhammond5652 08:36 😜
@@fatarchon thanks pal, missed that 😂 can you use pusgoyle blightlords?
@ashhammond5652 pusgoyle's are *slightly* larger but not by much + they both use the same base size, so yeah you'd be fine to run them as Plague Drones. I know some people use them as Daemon Princes too!
