I actually disagree. One shot absolutely can change the course of a basketball game. Basketball is a game of runs and morale. Sometimes, all it takes after going scoreless for 8 minutes is one shot to fall, then your team goes on a 30-5 run and you've tied up a game in which you were getting blown out. We talk about momentum shifts in football, and it's true, but momentum in basketball has huge impacts on the game and often, a single three or a big dunk can entirely shift the momentum to one team.
With food in England, I can't say there are a lot of like, local cuisine that you HAVE to try imo, but there are a lot of cool places to eat because of all the pubs

Hockey and Basketball are very different dopamine delivery systems. Hockey gives you big doses a few times a game, where basketball is more of a constant drip feed.

@marcob1729 NBA games are amazing as long as the score is within one possession. The end also isn't annoyingly bad if one team is blowing out the other. The problem becomes when the score is like 5 points apart. Then it grinds to a halt and 45 seconds turns into 2 and half minutes of stoppages and foul shots.
Applebee's is a very short step above McDonalds, imo.
