WHAT? YOU DIDNT SAY MY TEAM? Only the most biased reviewers would not love the draft for my team, who clearly picked multiple hall-of-famers.
This describes Eagles and Ravens fans in particular to a T. Not like their classes get glazed by every media outlet annually 😂
@@zoomcat5138 honestly, as much as i love our draft, the Ravens didnt exactly do too much flashy stuff. as great as Wiggins, Rosengarten, Isaac, and Tez Walker are as picks, it's not like we got a Kyle Hamilton or a Zay Flowers or a guy like that.
who the fuck cares really, i'd like to watch them win sb, not draftclass grade when they not even step on the field yet. dumb conversation
@@brandonthompson8640 Ravens class wasn't even top 10
You understand that videos like this are intended to start arguments to drive engagement. It's impossible, even for "experts", to rank a draft before any of them have played a snap.
Here's my conspiracy: After signing with the falcons, Kirk has a press conference alluding to the fact that he might throw the ball to Kyle Pitts. Then, Penix gets drafted. Coincidence? 🤔
Bills had a terrible draft colts had by far the best draft
@@123shoshanAs a bills fan, it’s very dependent on how effective keon coleman will be. Cole bishop and the duke DT was a solid pick, but I questioned on why adonai mitchell and gurrendo was not picked by us. I will say there’s a reason I’m not in the front office as I still get flack on one of Brett’s old videos because I said mahomes will be a bust😬
Josh did say he wanted Keon though!!
@@123shoshan What do YOU mean ! Bills / Chiefs had a GREAT draft ! I just LOVE when Mahomes beats the Bills in the Play offs , after ALL they ASKED for it , do they NOT , when trading with the Chiefs to HELP them out x 2 times , now ! JUSTICE if you ask ME as a Chargers fan .
Why does Brett's background look like he is in front of a gothic horror sacrificial altar?
because he is
Thats where the Steelers make a blood sacrifice every year to go above .500
@@curtisrogers2721 Bunch of Yinzers sacrificing goats to an icon of Mean Joe Greene.
Gothic horror sacrificial altar *of whiskey*
@@curtisrogers2721 You know, if Russ is any good this year I might start believing this.
Jokes on you guys I was gonna be drunk by halftime at the bills game no matter what (more realistically drunk by 9am Sunday morning)
Good luck to Drake Maye with no supporting cast lmao
Omar Khan and Andy Weidl have had back to back home run drafts. Unbelievable change of pace for the Steelers over these last couple of years in terms of team building.
Congrats on another excellent year of draft coverage gentlemen!
Appreciate that! Thanks for tuning in.
I was so excited for this because EJ said about 50 times during the streams that he liked the Bills draft so I knew my team would be here
Thank you guys for another great year of draft coverage! First time being around for your coverage and it's been awesome. Can't wait for the summer series!
Thanks for watching!... and saying so.
Bills football was a wild ride to watch the last few years. I will not mind the "matriculate the ball down the field" style that was missing.
As a Pats fan I love this draft. And the plan for LT appears to be trust Peters to develop Wallace at LT based on reports. Interested to see how it works but they also have Okorafor if he’s not ready week 1, or to use as a swing if Wallace is good to go. Onwenu will for sure be at RT though
Some corrections/notes from a Commies fan who follows the team's statements and such more closely than someone covering all 32 like you guys.
1) Sam Cosmi is not going to OT. He came into the NFL and was tried at OT. He wasn't terrible, but he struggled. He also bounced inside to RG multiple times during his first two years to cover for injuries there. Changing positions mid-season bothered Cosmi and he asked the coaching staff to pick a single permanent home for him going into year 3, and the decision was OG because he has short arms and while he's a good athlete, he's a little stiff. He was never going to be great at OT. He had far and away his best season last year at exclusively RG. He's not moving.
2) The team views Brandon Coleman as an OT. They've been pretty clear about that in press interactions. The team website lists him as G, and the pick was announced as G, but this is incorrect in the team's view. Unlike alot of G/T debates, Coleman does not have short arms, nor is he lacking in athleticism. His best collegiate season was at LT in 2022. I think this mythology about Coleman being a guard comes from a couple things.
-He HAS played both in college.
-He played as G at the Senior Bowl
-He was injured in 2023, and was gutting it out, which made him look less nimble this past year, leading to people thinking he has to kick inside.
But the Commies have been very clear that they see him as a tackle, and only if he fails there will they push him inside.
3) The Commies' OTs are not great - but they're better than most people think. Lucas has actually been an excellent backup swing OT. He's a better-than-most pass protector, but struggles in the run game. Wylie really is the one that should move inside as he's been a better guard than tackle his whole career, but while his losses looked ugly at times, he actually graded out pretty okay overall. Not great. Definitely want to upgrade. But he's not the swinging gate his reputation with the fanbase implies.
4) WAS has the cap space to go after a veteran OT if they like one that comes available. This is why Commies fans should not panic about the OT situation. Yes, it's not ideal, but it's not the sucking chest wound that people think.
5) This is most likely a lie, but Peters claimed that Jayden Daniels was the top player on their draft board. He didn't say top player "LEFT" on their board. This implies that they may have been one of the teams that had Daniels over Williams. Like I said...most likely a lie, but EJ talked about Daniels being the 2nd best player on their board, and that's NOT how Peters claims it was.
Would I have liked them to get a top OT in a trade up? Yeah. But the fact that they didn't pull the trigger on an overpay is something I like even more. The old regime ABSOLUTELY would have paid highway robbery prices to get what it wanted.
Wow, this a super informative and optimistic analysis of the Commanders' draft and its' O-line. You're a real one, man!
Love that the Bills and Chargers are both on the list
Rashaan Slater and Joe Alt could turn into the best Tackle duo in the league if Alt turns into the player I think he will be and Slater can stay healthy. The Chargers are gonna be a force to be reckoned with now that they have Harbaugh coaching that talented roster.
Not to mention they still have Zion Johnson and Corey Linsley, and Salyer showed flashes as a potential RG
@@timcal2136linsley is retiring
Chargers gonna charger until further notice.
Joe Alt is a hall of famer offensive tackle name.
@@barrymacockiner4181 As a Chargers fan since 2001, I share this sentiment
After too many years of no actual hype, it's so wonderful to have the Khan Artist running the show and seeing the Steelers being talked about in preseason for good reasons
Squeelers will Squeel! I seem to remember hype every preseason every single fucking year of my life that the internet has existed. Never in my life did i think id hear a Steelers fan say they didnt get talked about enough 😂 last year Kenny was a HOFer in preseason and everyones sexy pick to surprise
@@kane6529 Except they didn't make sexy pick this year. They largely focused on building the offensive line which will definitely pay off some. Their offence still has some holes, but Roman Wilson and George Pickens are a good WR duo. Personally, I would've taken a running back if they weren't gonna pick up Najee's fifth year, but otherwise it was pretty good.
FYI Brad Holmes has drafted well 4 years in a row. 1st year - Sewell, Alim McNeil, Iffy, Barnes, St. Brown and hope Levi Onzurweke shows up after now second year of returning from back fusion.
No one realistically expects Levi to pan out.
Its possible @brandonbaty2291 if he wants to keep playing football he has to have a decent season. Its the end of his rookie deal. No team will probably want him for 53 man as is. So its basically now or never. I like the odds actually. Brad drafted him. I bet hes gor some fight in him. Pry doesnt wanna be the only chump in the class.
Have a good break can't wait for the summer series!
Enjoy your rest guys, well deserved, the content was top tier all the way, congratulations on yet another amazing year!!
😴 Huh? Wha...?
45:50 bring from the south and hearing Brett call it Ole Mizz is hilarious 😂 . Ik it’s an accent thing
Ole Mizzou?
Interesting fact about the Bengals' criminal history: if you could just ignore Pacman Jones and the late Chris Henry, the Bengals would have one of the lower criminal rates since 2000 of all teams. Those two really do drag Cincinnati into the top 10 criminal histories all by themselves.
Bills showed that they wanted to take many players in this deep draft!
I'll take meltdowns whenever the Packers draft and be satisfied 😂
46:40 good to hear that I thought I was crazy having a late 3rd on Lee and he fell so far
As a Commanders fan, this is my Super Bowl.
I love Ray Davis! I wish nothing but the best for him in Buffalo. Definitely a top tier running back and the highlight of the Kentucky offense.
*Ray Davis hive slowly assembles*
20:41 It’s good to see that apparently the Steelers learned with their mistakes like passing on Dickerson, Linderbaum and Humphrey
I think they got some really good interior guys. Should be very solid
I think Miami was drafting for a few years down the road. And maybe they know something about Achane and either/both Jaelan/Chubb that we don't (durability would be my guess). Malik is a better version of Braxton (and I'm a fan of The 🙌, so that hurts). Paul had late-first/early second upside, and if I'm not mistaken can play RT which is actually Tua's blindside, so its more important than the LT to the Phins.
Thanks Brett and EJ for giving the Titans an honorable mention, think Ran did a goos job addressing needs at LT, NT, LB and depth CB👍
Happy to do so... lots of teams were really solid this year.
1:00:13 Mickey Loomis will indeed be getting a Christmas card from Brett and EJ this year.
Was not a fan of the Commanders draft, aside from Johnny Newton. Jayden Daniels over Drake Maye is crazy. The other day 2 picks were all reaches
So. My team was just in the honorable mentions. They deserved more shine. I will be back to discuss this around playoff time. 😁 Appreciate everything you guys put into this. Your two of the best.
🍻
Let's gooooo!
The Chargers traded in their broken down Lambo for a suped up F-150
In the lions i trust. From top to bottom. Never thought id ever feel that way. Its literally funny to me how simple it all is. Almost like life. There isnt one path, but one path, more often than not, is more successful than any other.
I mean I know it wasn’t one of the best ones but not even an HM for the Colts? Drafted the best pass rusher in the draft in the 1st, got the biggest steal at WR (someone I KNOW Brett loves) in the 2nd, stocked up on the O-line cupboard in the 3rd in 4th with some of our guys being injury prone/expiring contract. Got a potentially explosive ass kick returner with the new rules in the 5th. And took some nice moves to get more college veteran talent in the defensive backfield in the final rounds. Outside of solidifying RB2, what else could we have done better or differently??
HM because the draft is on par with Ballard. I'd argue Ballard's real ballsy draft was last year where he hinges his future picking a young franchise QB for once instead of going after older vets. Mitchell may be a steal but there could be a reason why he was ignored by WR needy teams who had a chance in the late first/early second.
Funny how different some of you respectable draft analysts see these draft classes. Just watched Marcus Whitman (TFG Football) TRASH the Commanders draft.. and you guys absolutely love it lol
The way you guys were reacting to each pick, makes me think you had 32 favorite draft classes
A lot of teams did really well this year. I liked the start (first 2-3 picks) of most draft classes this year.
Considering they attended the combine and had the opportunity to see for themselves these young athletes who would be good if they went to ideal situations, their perspective is far different than many of us who just know these player on a last name/on screen basis.
one of the best Steelers podcast I ever heard
Brett that is the most ostentatious background I've ever seen and I'm loving it
That thumbnail is killing me lol
In regards to the pats potentially reaching at o-line in the mid rounds, at least they are taking the right positions. I'm happy to quibble about player selections, as opposed to disagreeing with their overall draft philosophy
Grateful for you guys. No reason to watch other draft live streams
Grateful you choose ours.
My favorite two classes weren't mentioned, eagles and cards.
Cardinals where mentioned, or i dream about it.
No mention of the Eagles is highly disturbing. I’m not mad, just disappointed… and a little heart broken
For me, Chargers, Cardinals, Commanders, Lions, Rams are the best classes. Ravens, Bills, Bengals right there too, close honorable mentions. A ton of teams nailed the first 2 picks like the Colts, Bears, and Giants. Sadly, I am a Jags fan and now have to pray that Maason Smith learns how to bend his knees and keep his pads low. I would love your thoughts on Andre Carter though. The kid looks like a top-5 run defender in this class on tape, very promising UDFA who will definitely have to play inside. But sadly I think he has a better chance to be a plus run defender in the league than Smith.
Who dey!! 🐅🐅 didn't think we would make the vid but I'm SOOOO hyped we did
It’s a future proof draft. People have been down on the draft cause we didn’t get enough “immediate impact” guys. but this kind of draft is the kind that our fans have been clamoring for since 2021, Trenches and weapons. Love it. Who Dey!
You listed my team in the timestamps, so I will watch this.
Guessed most of these picks before entering the video. Predictable
LETS GOOO
Amazing thumbnail
Ken Dorsey's offense legit made me pull hair every game at least 4-5 times, thank god for Joe Brady who made this offense function w/o Josh being superman
before I watch, I'm going to go out on a limb and say EJ picks the Bears
The way I see that Chargers-NBA analogy was more like an unserious NBA team building a roster to win by modern means. But focuses too much on the analytic part of that equation basing an offense off 3point volume, higher pace and bigs who shoot 3s. Rather than having super stars with unique skillsets that work in the modern game and things that matter in basic playoff match ups like size/length in lineups, playmakers, highly complimentary skillsets etc. Chargers roster under Telesco/Staley got too cute and had to play too smart on smaller margin of errors to make up for deficiencies. So obviously when it came to matchups where things got simpler they fell apart. As Brett stated Harbaugh will get results on how to solve basic NFL strategies because he will have talent in the trenches.
Funny, I had 6 of these in my top 7 (bears included) but did NOT like the Bills draft, wasn’t high on Coleman at all, felt like a pretty significant reach, felt the same for Cole Bishop to a lesser extent.
LOVED their Round 5, thought they got pretty correct value for Carter, and liked the Clayton pick, especially as he doesn’t take a roster spot, but actually didn’t see them get much better here.
The scars of Telesco run so so deep. As Brett said, it took the entire draft as a whole for us to finally realize the plan and the vision and know we were fully cleansed of the last 11 years of mediocrity. Good luck with that Raiders! Oh look 👀 Delmar Glaze...
Vidal, Chargers late round WR, and Bengals pass catchers I will be targeting from these teams.
Washington announced Coleman as a tackle, and supposedly they will at least try him there. 79.8 PFF grade in 2022 with almost 1000 snaps at LT. He played guard in 2023 because TCU needed him to, and he was playing injured all year. He trained with Duke who said he likes him at tackle. Not saying he will hit at tackle, but I'm not writing it off
Coleman can play LT for the Commanders. Adam Peters says he can, and he will.
My favorite Drafts:
A+
Pittsburgh Steelers 7
Buffalo Bills 7
Green Bay Packers 7
A
NY Jets 6
Seattle Seahawks 6
Miami Dolphins 6
Washington Commanders 6
B+
Los Angeles Chargers 5

Cincinnati Bengals 5

Chicago Bears 4
Arizona Cardinals 4
Detroit Lions 4
Houston Texans 4
Carolina Panthers 4
Minnesota Vikings 4
Dallas Cowboys 4
Tampa Bay Bucs 4
Indy not even in the honarable mentions is surprising
I was surprised too since they were really high on Latu and AD, but I think they might not have been as high on the day 3 picks.
@@MikeShive yeah I get it but I loved our picks after Latu and AD. Got two potential future starting interior players in Gonclaves and Bortolini and probably a future starting LB in carlies
@richardrhodes4701 I absolutely agree! There were guys I wanted in some of those slots, but I'm a fan of the OL picks, Carlies could be a really solid coverage LB, Gould is going to be an electric returner/slot WR, and we got some solid DB depth.
Vikings draft? They litteraly got two elite players in the first round and had a good day 3
What’s your opinion on the Raiders draft? I thought they did pretty good. I’m a die hard Bill’s fan, but the Raiders are my second favorite team because they’re my dad’s team.
Last two years were the first two drafts for Steeler's Omar Khan. He came in and immediately went to work fixing the O-Line. Us Steelers fans are ready to build him a statue already
The Chargers bias is unreal and delusional.
38:55 true, but he could’ve gotten Kingsley Suamataia at 53 and then a TE close to Sinnott at 67
Commanders love ???? I love it
basketball meta seems to be slightly moving back toward the midrange a bit. Or at least mixing it in more.
The midrange always shows up in the playoffs even with teams that legit talents on the 3-ball and being able to attack the basket. Its the teams who build the 3-ball without legit shooting talent and no middie or rim pressure that bow out to more complete teams.
Sounds like Chargers are going to be Lions West
chargers will suck lol
There's a few former Ravens on the Chargers.
Dobbins, Edwards, Bozeman, Hurst, and Mason.
Plus OC Greg Roman and GM Joe Hortiz.
@@darthmauleatinyoicecream3675so will ya mom
For as bad as the Steelers first and 2nd round picks have been, they are always in contention.
The Chargers? No Eagles? Lmfao Bruh
Honestly, it's a bit surprising the Chargers draft didn't look exactly like the Steelers draft. They looked like good fit for Zach Frazier and both Wilsons.
No eagles? Kinda surprising
Chargers are definitely gonna be the “Fightin Harbaughs” until we see if 2024 rules stack against that style. Niner fan that loves Jim, but we shall see if Bully Ball can win a ring in this league
Good defense, good O line, and running game is time tested and proven to win. It’s not like The Chargers don’t have a QB, Herbert will still be throwing the ball.
Bully ball certainly gets you far into the postseason especially with a top QB. Mahomes and the Chiefs offense had their worst year last season for what its worth. But their defense certainly carried them in the postseason and helped keep things close. Rams in 2022 had a very good offense with Stafford and Kupp but the strong defense led by Donald helped them out in the playoffs.
Packers loaded up again. The youngest team got younger and much better. Dangerous for years to come with 3 straight monster drafts.
Najee Harris and Warren both will be over 1000 yards 2024
How about the RAIDERS !!!
Do you think Sinnott was overdrafted at 53?
Not personally, nah
Ravens always have a top notch draft scheme. Doesn't matter if they didn't make it on this review.
Ngl surprised the Eagles weren’t mentioned at all but still, fantastic analysis as usual guys (at least I think it was, I rely on you guys because I don’t know enough so who am I do say 😂)
The Eagles didn't have a great draft
@@AlexJohns-kw2um everybody I’ve seen talk about the eagles draft said a+
The amount of salt towards the Eagles draft is insane. Everyone saying “they just followed a big board” doesn’t understand the Eagles’ process that allowed them to fill their needs and double down on positions of strength. Look at how old some of the players on this roster are, how many players left the past two years, and then realize this is STILL a roster capable of winning it all today.
I think it’s drafts the personally liked a lot, if you go back to the streams every eagle pick besides the A&M receiver had them praising Howie even that pick EJ really liked him.
@@AlexJohns-kw2um If that's what you think then you have zero clue about football. Please move on and see yourself out.
Not feeling the Chargers draft beyond Alt and Ladd.
They did well with those two and the rest need work. Rice is good late.
I'll put solid money on Tory Taylor being more influential than taking OL19 or WR32
6:21 one of these is not like the othersssd
I know it cant be my Jags
This whole we need a OT must draft one or we fail is so stupid we needed everything. We got a great G we got defensive players so know we arent the reverse pats of last year. Yes we need a tace but we needed everything else too
I think everyone's sleeping on Wiggins and Rosengarten. BAL had a classic board-be-damned draft.
One that still failed to get a good receiver for their MVP QB. Are they going to continue calling only long-pass plays with only one receiver who can catch those? (& even he isn't consistent). They & the Steelers should have made a play for Diggs if they knew he was available.
How to be in this video:
1. Have a top five pick
2. Pick players
Wrong Brett! I had Graham Barton to the Bucs
You guys didn’t like the Seahawks draft? Or just too many drafts you liked to mention. I thought getting the top defensive prospect at 16 and a top 3 guard in round 3 was pretty incredible, the rest of their picks weren’t bad either
I have a feeling the falcons won’t be mentioned in this video.
Guys don’t tell TFG you liked the Commanders draft
Have you guys ever liked a Ravens draft class? 😭 at least in the last few years I’ve watched/come across your channel
They always hype us up, this was just a year where we didn't have many flashy moves.
Brett and EJ always praise the way The Ravens draft and build their team. You must not watch to often
@@Steve_643 I’ll have to find the clip but I could’ve sworn last year Brett said he wasn’t thrilled with our draft (may have been some specific players) - could’ve also been on Brett’s channel specifically
Depends on the context. Brett may sound negative on the Packers draft but those cheese head pricks have been getting it right for their team for years where it matters.
They’ve literally NEVER mentioned the Chiefs and yet we end up having one of the best classes each and every year.
30:53 LOL am i the only one who thinks EJ kindof looks like Kyle Whittingham?
I wish I had the defensive brain of Kyle Whittingham - his guys get after it, every year.
Before I watch I’m guessing:
Bears
Steelers
Eagles
Vikings
Bengals (I’m biased)
Panthers?
Audible "no" from me as soon as you said Steelers fans can skip ahead 😒😂
Colts Brett?
No seahawks?!? Thats… fair.
Lions over eagles? 🤔
Until the Chargers can draft a home field crowd I don't think they can ever succeed
Home field crowd has nothing to do with it stay hating tho🖕🏻
@@isaiahramirez3273 lol. You are as intelligent as you are eloquent.
I’m sorry to break it to you but the Commanders draft will be remembered as drafting one of the biggest busts in NFL history.
Not having the colts on here is weird
