Do you guys ever get the feeling sometimes these guys and other well known dynasty pods like to piss on certain rookies so they can grab them at a discount in their leagues?
Malik Washington had like a 63% contested catch win rate. That is a crazy stat for a 5-8 195# guy. He can jump out of the gym and has late hands to win at the point of the catch. I am the head of the Malik Washington fan club.
@@Zabougie I’m not very high on Franklin. I think he’s a late 2nd-early 3rd round prospect, solely a deep threat. But Brett seems to have something personal against him lol
@MarchOnRome I could just be projecting, but I think I sound like a big Franklin hater sometimes as well because I feel the need to push back against the very vehemently vocal section of fans who swear he should go in the 1st. Now at the end of the second or later, I agree, I'm taking a good hard look at dude and considering adding him to the squad as a good vertical wr prospect. Brett might need to clarify where he has him lol.
Tyler Lockett is my favorite comp for Ladd I’ve seen so far. That’s really nice. And makes a lot more sense than the Cooper Kupp thing (a much bigger, more physical style of player). In terms of that fast, gliding slight-of-frame route runner with inside-outside versatility who can win downfield and underneath, that’s a really nice comp. I also agree that Tyler definitely has better hands.
I've also heard Antonio Brown and Demarius Thomas thrown out there. I'm a little concerned about his frailty; he was constantly banged up at UGA. Point is, I think I like the AB comp best, but swap out time missed for physical health (Ladd) for mental health (AB).
Odunze will have no problem, creating separation at the NFL level, as he continues to refine his route running. Barring injury and depending on who's throwing to him, he could easily wind up being the best receiver in this year's draft class.
So on the point about Keon Coleman's real game speed being shown in the gauntlet drill- A better measure might be using (unfortunately non-public) PFF Game Athleticism Score (GAS). Puka was a 99th percentile GAS guy in addition to the gauntlet drill performance meanwhile Coleman was a just a respectable 93rd percentile.
@felixlara2945 according tracking data from when everybody actually played, he isn't even the fastest wr in the draft. He got an amazing 10 yard split that made his great speed look like transcendent speed during the 40. But 40 times aren't everything.
I'm kind of hoping for Adonai Mitchell at 28 the Legette in the second. I know some ppl are talking about us trading up but with the depth in this class I'm not sure if it's needed. Also in the second if we can get Jermaine Burton I would be stoked, he's underrated by many ppl. PPF has him higher than Legette, Koleman and Polk.
1:14:28 - 1:15:35 Frank Reich, Thomas Brown, and Shawn Jefferson all need to be tried for coaching malpractice for how they treated Jonathan Mingo in 2023.
