Tip: If you like sweetened, put some maple syrup and vanilla paste in the bowl along with the Matcha powder, and then whisk so everything is nice and even in taste
I’ve heard you should never use your bamboo whisk for anything but matcha powder because it is very delicate. Pastes, syrups, honey may damage your whisk
I, too am an oat milk girl for my matcha. I've always used oatly, but will check that out. Only tried ippodo and Naoki so now will look into the others. Thank you!
yeeess coconut milk is such a good pick!! i remember the first time i had a matcha latte with it, my tastebuds were so confused but it tasted SO GOOD after i got used to it in 4-ish sips.
I've tried all kinds of milk with matcha (oat, almond, macademia, etc.), lactose-free cow milk is THE BEST in pairing with matcha. I can't explain why but their flavors just blend so perfectly together🤌🤌
this past year or two, ive started to appreciate and enjoy matcha :) this is a really informative video!! i definitely feel more confident to look into making matcha for myself at home :D
@@emwada i love the bowl! can you tell me how much it was? (i live in europe and i am considering buying it, but i dunno if it will be crazy expensive inlcuding the shipping) thanks!
Since you shouldn't use boiling water for the matcha, how can I make sure it's hot enough? I don't have a thermometer or something to use to check the temp! What do u suggest? Maybe just wait a few mins after boiling the water?
Where did you purchase the chasen from? I heard the ones made in Japan are better quality. I purchased one from Amazon (don't know where it was made) and it doesn't open up/expand the way the chasen in this video did.
Watching this after a 16 day trip to Japan filled with matcha and a suitcase of Uji matcha powder that I cannot let go to waste by making it incorrectly 😵💫
Me but after a 23 SE Asia trip haha. Crazy stuff I got my wisdom teeth removed in the midst too. Bought a bunch of matcha at a Japanese store in KL. Hoping for the best
Hello, I am new to matcha and I recently just got my first tin of matcha and I was wondering where to store my matcha? I am seeing a lot of varying answers on the internet. I bought from ippodo and on the tin it says to store at room temperature but I am unsure please help!

I've watched heaps of matcha videos and no-one seems to make hot matches. Also the bamboo whisks are really expensive. I just use a silicone mini whisk instead

Literally the recipe I was looking for, like which sweeteners to use
What is vanilla paste ?
I’ve heard you should never use your bamboo whisk for anything but matcha powder because it is very delicate. Pastes, syrups, honey may damage your whisk
@@saraalabdulla4651vanilla bean paste is like vanilla extract but more concentrated and made with sugar (+vanilla bean)
Sounds delicious but too much sugar.
Thank you so much!! Got a matcha set for Christmas and your video was so helpful!!

oat milk girlies >> yay, I hope you enjoy :)
I have tried several types of milk with it but I prefer my matcha with coconut milk, so good.
Which Coconut milk do you recommend?
@@blancacasillas8226 I use Califia Farms here in the US.

This was so helpful, thank you!!! Just wondering how do you correctly store the matcha powder and chasen? 🌟
Ceremonial matcha is too mild (1st harvest) for matcha latte i think. Blend of the 1st and 2nd is really good, or high quality 2nd harvest matcha.
Any suggestions?
@@ThingEmmie21 try Ujido ceremonial blend...
4 gr + 60 gr water for an 8oz latte 💚
Thank you! I just placed an order. I love matcha latte and if these taste better than Starbucks I’m in!

yay, I hope it helps! And I haven’t yet, but I’m going to hehe
I can reccomend 180ml of milk, 60ml water, 4g matcha, 12-13g white sugar, or 17g agava syrup.
Can you do a video on just the ippodo brand matcha.
Love this Emily, do you have any recommendations for Matcha fusions like cinnamon, raspberry, or lavender?
I recently made a lavender + rose syrup that go really well with Matcha lattes!! Would definitely recommend that flavor combo
Matcha berry is soo good.
soy milk is the only milk that doesn’t hurt my stomach but it tastes the best with oat milk ❤
I love having Matcha drink every single day 🙂
Love your video! The green matcha bowl with white flowers is so cute, where can I find one?
