I almost got it all right. I think it was the milk that made it taste awful. Almond milk is the worst milk for lattes. It's so watery and has that almond taste which really does conflict with the matcha taste.

For anyone wanting a clean non-dairy brand. Califia farms organic almond and oat milk only has 3 ingredients- the nuts, water and salt. THAT’S IT! All these other brands have oils and junk added to it, imo i want to stay away from emulsifiers and oils because i drink it every single day.

When you put your matcha in the fridge, do you like to leave it out unopened for 30ish minutes before using it then open the tin, or do you open it right after you get it out of the fridge? I’ve heard various things from people and was curious to what you usually do. Great video btw!!

I look forward to drinking my matcha every day, literally go to bed thinking about it sometimes hahah. These tips were helpful! I’m struggling to find a non dairy milk that doesn’t have any filler ingredients / seed oils because I’m dealing with horrid cystic & hormonal acne. Apparently oatmilk is not great for me either.. I’m using Califia’s organic unsweetened almondmilk but, I miss having the barista oat blend’s creaminess & flavor 😢 I’ll find a better milk some day 💭🍵

What type of syrups taste the best with vegetal matcha?

I use the same brands of milk too! Barista blend makes a difference compared to regular oat milk.

Almond milk overpowers the matcha. Califia Barista still has some weird ingredients and Minor Figures Barista organic seems to be the better bunch in my opinion. I try not to buy milk alternatives with inflammatory ingredients. Storage is so important. Even if we put it in fridge, we need to quickly take out portion and close and put back so it doesn’t oxidize.

I’ve been drinking Ogurayama and yaeyama which I love butI’ve been craving something a little more grassy but still strong. Do you have any recs?

When I find a matcha I love, I adore adding vanilla powder to it when I want to add a dessert like taste without adding any sweetener! Soooo good!!! Especially with mandarin slices on the side!
