This is essentially, the very same Ohio State team that was THE ONLY team that ever effectively contained all-world Texas QB Vince Young and should have knocked over that year's eventual National Champions. God came down and saved Texas on that night as they dodged one bullet after another. On this night, Oklahoma State was quite simply taken behind the woodshed and 'punished'. I recall those two back to back hits on their QB by Hawk and Fraser. The guy didn't know what state he was in after those brutal hits. And Teddy Ginn! I don't think anyone ever saw moves like he had and still has.
Yeah bucks really let texas off the hook. Texas was just destined. Remember texas had the same team but better back from a Rose Bowl winning squad. Bucks were still doing the whole Zwick/Troy crap during that game. That tight end dropping the wide open TD comes to mind. Lots of blown opportunities. Would have been nice to play the game later in the season when bucks were rolling. I think they would be coin toss games wirh Texas again or USC.....would have been great to have a 4 team playoff that year. Like many years the bucks didnt win it (all those 90s missed chances comes to mind)
proud to say that about 200 other 8th grade guys and i went to a day camp and got to hang ou with this exact team!! holmes and gonzales said i had the best hands out there out of the 200 other boys
its kind of funny how ohio state loses several key players to the NFL in recent years but always seem to end the season in, or close to, the top 10. Go Bucks!
Gosh I remember being at this game! Early on you could see that Oklahoma State just didn't have the size or speed to compete with Ohio State. This and the TTUN game showed just how much this team improved over the season. On a side note - the Cowboy fans were definitely a 'wine and cheese' crowd who were some of the snottiest fans I have ever chatted with at a game. Apparently it was beneath them to socialize with low life fans from the upper Midwest lol
We saw Ted Ginn at QB and the defense lined up for a pass, instead of what was an obvious run. The Oklahoma State fans in my section were screaming, "HE'S GOING TO RUN!! HE'S GOING TO RUN!!" Sure enough, Ginn did just that; taking it in for a rather easy score. I'm still surprised that for all the damage he did, he only scored that one touchdown.
LSU was shitty for a LONG time before this Century. Gerry Dinardo (the Big 10 Network guy) couldnt win there. Ohio has better football than anywhere around there except Texas. But yeah Miles is still a BIT overrated. Miles couldnt win 60% of his games at OK State (Mike Gundy has done way better) and then SUDDENLY he goes to LSU and becomes a Genius winning 10/year?? Something sounds Fishy about his "Talent."
@babyboyben6969 It's also kinda funny how Ohio State's team seems to always have players on suspensions. Maybe Jim Tressel should try harder to get them right.
Best 4 loss team ever
Imagine Teddy Ginn at Urban or RD’s disposal. 😭😭😭
Ted Ginn Jr. can walk faster than some people can drive a car.
This must have been Lydell Ross' greatest game in his Ohio State career. lol
Lol. I some point I think he realized B12 teams can't tackle ;)
@@nospam3327 lydell ross played with a knee inury the whole time he was at ohio state

Exactly right

I was at this game with my dad. We ran into Archie Griffin on the way to the OSU rally, and gave him a Buckeye wreath :)
Nothing like hard hitting linebackers....that can actually run fast. I can't say I didn't love the effort and dedication of Tuf Borland, but damn.
We need d like this again 2022
proud to say that about 200 other 8th grade guys and i went to a day camp and got to hang ou with this exact team!! holmes and gonzales said i had the best hands out there out of the 200 other boys
Les Miles parlayed this 26-point loss into the LSU job. Way to go, dude.
🤣🤣🤣
Justin Zwick was TRAAASH fam!!
its kind of funny how ohio state loses several key players to the NFL in recent years but always seem to end the season in, or close to, the top 10. Go Bucks!
Woods got destroyed all game. The Buckeye defense never rebuilds, it always reloads.

Sounds like Okie State lol
Goddammit I miss Ted Ginn and AJ Hawk
I remember Coach Tressle
Ironic zwick was #1 recruit in the nation supposed to be great QB at OSU but Smith came out of nowhere funny how things go 😶
I was in this stadium for this game :)
@st8ofgrind Yes he was the coach at the time.
was really hoping to see zwick's huge block. think it was for ginn on an end around but i couldnt remember
Thanks for posting this. I didn't have cable so I missed the game. The only thing I saw was a score.
haha 7:49 Frazier fucking smashes that QB.
we had holmes, ginn, and gonzo!! I think the buckeyes put out some of the best receivers, year in, year out, always have
Unfortunately, we had Zwick throwing to them, though.
I use to have either.a Ross or Pittman jersey. My first pride possession is now long gone ..

Poor Les Miles yep not many people remember Miles coaching Oklahoma State
Ohio State is just too fast and powerful for those little 12 teams.
OOD = Best Buckeye Blog. Period.
Nuuuuge, Ginn, and Hawk were the few bright spots of that season.
No. Zwick was an abysmal all-hype QB who was really slow. Troy was a great runner and very smart.
@MrAngates
yeah troy smith ended up being a pretty terrible QB at the collegiate level.....wait thats not right
i forgot how fast Ted Ginn was
does anyone out there know if ESPN made a video of this game cuz I'd love to have it.
lol at 7:22 ginn was like ooh hole the size of texas! hot dang man i miss watchin him play for ohio.
Kickass 33-7 win over Les Miles.
"He's not gonna throw." Lol 6:53
The Play of the Game 3:15
I love the guy getting the cheerleader out of the way; they look terrified. How is that guy that fast!?! :)
Aj did like to hit people ;) 7:32
Where is Zwick's block? This game is not complete with his block.
@Juicedup58 they should run it with devier posey
Zwick was so much better than,Troy Smith. Tressell should have stuck with
Justin......
OSU's first win vs Les Miles.
Funny to see troll comments from haters whos' teams either are irrelevant or have been punked by the Buckeyes...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
U know ur bsf when ross is running all over you.
Osu vs Osu 🤓🫡
WTF dude, Boom Herron is going to be a good runningback. A little undersized, but he's not going to be Lydell or Mo Wells
I forgot all about Lydell Ross. God, he sucked
7:45 both the QB and WR got hurt on the play LOL!
Go Buckeyes!
Goes to show you that Les Miles isn't that good. Pretty much anyone can get results at LSU. The talent down there is ridiculous. GO BUCKS!~!!
teddy ginn going to the Superbowl
Ha Okie state....at least Kansas State lost to the defending national champion Buckeyes and by 7
both the QB and the RB got hurt on the same play. but whats real funny is they where brothers. go bucks michiGAY sucks
@IAintIsntNotI
he accepted like $500 from a booster
@babyboyben6969 cuz of tressell's recruiting
@BillyBong05 lydell looked decent in this game though...
9:15 ROFL!!!

buckeyesfan 4-0 against Texas A&M, 1-2 against UT and 4-0 against TCU, 1-0 against Texas Tech and more consistent than any of them! Go Bucks!
I will t the same as the as a
Les Miles, lol!
1:55...LMFAO
@kperry316 And we now see why Tressel's players are always in trouble, Tressel himself is getting a suspension.
Brandon C......bitter much?
@babyboyben6969 It's also kinda funny how Ohio State's team seems to always have players on suspensions. Maybe Jim Tressel should try harder to get them right.
