- A whole bunch of deep ball pass completions over the years for Ohio State. This video focus's more on deep strikes through the air and not catch & runs so Terry Glenn TD vs Notre Dame and Michael Thomas TD vs MSU in '14 are not included. Obviously I didn't put every single deep pass connection but I tried to include all of the major ones. I thought the Cris Carter era would be a good place to start since the Woody Hayes Buckeye teams didn't throw the ball downfield too much. This video really shows how clutch Michael Jenkins and Devin Smith were during both of their championship runs.

He had a season where he averaged he avg 28 you. 1 in 3 catches was a td. That’s just filthy.
When you factor in his reception from Braxton as a freshmen to beat Wisconsin at the end he’s for sure a legend. He was there for some crazy coaching changes and always performed.

just amazing to me the number of awesome receivers the Buckeyes have been to churn out every year and so many great memories...thanks for the upload...it probably could have been hours long and I'd have been fine.

@@lew-e Yeah absolutely, as long as RUclips doesn't take them down I would upload them. I've actually been looking for the original broadcast of the 02 Purdue game because everything on RUclips is edited or a condensed rebroadcast, so that would be great if you have that as well as the other games. So yeah if you have them I'd be happy to upload them.

You're absolutely right. A lot of the clips in this video were added in from memory instead of me doing my homework and watching highlights, I pictured that play in my head as a screen pass for some reason which explains why it isn't here (I think I got it confused with the Paris Campbell touchdown from that game). I also forgot Smith to Gonzalez on the opening drive of the 04 Michigan game. I realized I forgot it as soon as the video finished uploading but said oh well the video is already over 24 minutes haha.

Whenever someone asks me Top 3 WR's in Buckeye history, I always have to put Devin Smith in there. I know know, Cris Carter, David Boston, Ted Ginn Jr., Terry Glenn, Joey Galloway, Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith Njigba, Chris Olave, and more... but to me... Devin Smith was ALWAYS clutch. I'll take him any day of the week.

C.Jones and E.Elliot deserve all the accolades they got over that 3;game run...I just think Devin Smith doesn't get his credit...him stretching the defense , and having to game plan for him opened up a lot of what the other two was able to do
