I agree with you, but Pryor had bad luck with timing. He was a dual threat right on the edge of the shotgun and spread offenses taking over nationally. Had he played under Meyer rather than Tressel he would have had way more chances to play to his strengths
We all forget how truly great he was at quarterback. Dam shame we couldn't see him play the year of the nat'l title. We would have been undefeated for sure!!!
Got to see him play in person, and he was deceptively fast. Would look like the linebacker had an angle and then he would be around the corner and 30 yards down field.
we've had some tremendous QBs come through since 2002 but Krenzel will always be my favorite. Dude wasnt super athletic and didnt have supreme accuracy. What he did have was some extreme tenacity and heart. The 2002 season will always be my favorite.
@GB Twenty Not a bad analogy. I dont have any issue with Barrett. I suppose I never made the comparison because Barrett didnt win the natty, he for sure contributed (obviously) but wasnt in the playoffs. Barrett might be the toughest player to come through in a long long time.
When watching Braxton Miller one wonders how any one could be better yet ultimately did not succeed in NFL. An NFL career or for that matter a career in football can be so short lived that I have no problem with a star leaving early to provide for the ones they love. Go get the money if you have an ethical opportunity and don't look back. Braxton was a gift to us to watch.
Underrated is JT Barrett. He had some of the clutch-est runs ever. He got the most production from that position passing or running... but his dominance was so unassuming. Loved watching those legs pumping hard as he ran.
Braxton Miller is one of the best players of all time and he never got the heisman all so that ESPN hype train could give it to people who had more yards. It used to be about play making ability, not a yearly yardage contest
It’s not even up for debate. Braxton Miller was the most electric running QB in the history of Ohio State. Plus, he could throw a decent ball. It’s too bad things didn’t really work out for him in the NFL. If Braxton could have found the right system I would have really enjoyed watching him play longer than he was afforded.
Im glad you included the one from braxton when he came back as a hb. Wasnt a qb anymore but it’s one of the greatest runs ive seen in college ball period.
You know it amazes me that people from other fan bases say that OSU doesn't win big games. Count how many times the Buckeyes won the conference since Jim Tressel was hired in 2001.
This great group of QB's, I feel bad for Kenny Guiton, he could have been a Heisman candidate, every time he hit the field he was as good as the starter
Haha, he wasn't the most athletic for sure, but Krenzel was still a baller and was clutch and made a lot of timely runs, and was also was the leading rusher in the championship game against Miami
Just occurred to me that while these highlights are incredible, thoroughly enjoyed them, the two National Championship teams of the Tressel/Meyer era had excellent quarterbacks. but it was their arms and decision making that carried the day. Not much in the way of running highlights. Little compared to Miller or JT. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, the line play from those two Naty teams was tremendous. They responded to adversity, kept on plugging, had the talent and mental/physical endurance to keep on pounding. When you have someone like Miller, it is tempting to let up a little.
If I were Coach Day, I'd show this video to CJ ("Me No Run") Stroud on a daily basis. These absolute heroes of Buckeye football over the last 20 years.
Wow, there are some historic plays in here: Braxton going Madden against Penn State, the Braxton spin move, JT's record-setting run against Minny, JT skunking Peppers for a TD (13:10). But probably my favorite is Cardale Jones trucking Oregon's defensive tackle. Haha, what other QB has ever done that?!? I always felt bad for Oregon's DC; he had the perfect play call: the DT steps forward, the drops back to clog the passing lanes and defend against the QB run. It all goes according to plan... then Cardale just muscles his way for a first down. :) Game over: 12:02
My man Braxton! Oh my goodness! O-H Top 5. 1. Troy Smith(Heisman) (Fiesta Bowl Champion) (Natl Champ appearance) 2. Braxton Miller (Best runner) 3. Cardale Jones (Natl Champion) 4. Terrel Pryor (Rose Bowl Champion) 5. Kraig Krenzel (Natl Champion) J.T Barret was a disappointment down the stretch. J . Fields could be top 5 but he only beat Clemson once and claimed no National Awards! Heisman would have put him up there but arguably against Terrell Pryor because nothing is bigger than a Rose Bowl Champion in the Big Ten, he also won the Sugar Bowl! I think Terrell was also a harder runner than Justin, he was big and he was tough to bring down!
Justin Fields was probably the 2nd best running QB we’ve had behind Braxton, he just didn’t have to run as much because he had the best arm to ever come through OSU
Krentzle was a great running QB but, I will have to say that B.Miller was faster than any defense he ever played college football so he was the best we've had.
Should’ve been more of Pryor. And Barret played at OSU for 4 seasons and that’s all of him? Should’ve just called this the Braxton Miller run highlight reel. Which would’ve been fine.
Can’t help but understand that braxton was the best running qb we ever had at osu I don’t think anyone is ever gonna replace that and his throwing was also improving hadn’t he hurt his shoulder we would’ve seen so much more from braxton though he gave us so much to see in such a short amount of time!!
No Joe Bauserman or Justin Zwick? In all seriousness, I really started watching the Buckeyes when I was 8 and seeing the 2002 team win the ship and we’ve been spoiled with great, athletic quarterbacks ever since. Maybe they didn’t have success at the next level, but doesn’t take away what they did at Ohio State. I have a feeling that Justin Fields will end that bad luck at the pros though
JT Barrett first QB in OSU history to go 4-0 vs TTUN Terelle Pryor was the best athlete in Buckeye history they should have used him like Cam Newton TP was not used to his abilities
Braxton Miller all time best! CJ could be best passer- let’s go Buckeyes!! Isn’t it too bad how Pryor career ended- could have been great shows what greed gets u
I think the hardest hit's came yesterday when EA released it's College football trailer. No love for OSU no Love.😂😂. It's like you didn't exists and when you did your team was getting dusted by Michigan. But National Champions do get star treatment. Over the years you've just become shorty in a skirt.😋😋 You know Akron girls.
@@MattBuckeyeGuy You could have added that one where he came in for Barrett in the TTUN game on that first drive and ran all the way to the 1yd line to setup the go ahead TD. But hey you tried your best and did pretty good. You would be hard pressed to think of anymore QB runs that span the last 18years. Pretty much covered the most important ones we all remember
Braxton Miller is hands down, the best running QB we ever had.
No doubt he was
I must agree with you and he wasn’t appreciated like he should have been!!
Peace!!
#GoBucks!!
I go to his old highschool😁
I agree with you, but Pryor had bad luck with timing. He was a dual threat right on the edge of the shotgun and spread offenses taking over nationally. Had he played under Meyer rather than Tressel he would have had way more chances to play to his strengths
I think he is top 5 best of all time running QB and Pryor included in that top 5
Braxton Miller will always be my favorite Buckeye. It's criminal how he's been sort of forgotten. The guy was a one of a kind talent.
The Braxton Miller stutter-step was probably one of the most underrated things he did. So many extra yards
We all forget how truly great he was at quarterback. Dam shame we couldn't see him play the year of the nat'l title. We would have been undefeated for sure!!!
Bruh, u not lying. His hesi was even nastier than his spin move. Legend.
Braxton was underrated as a passer and more of an athlete. He was nasty quick.
@@williammichael3078 Yes he was! So sick to see what happened to him at the end of his quarterback days at Ohio State.
Will never forget watching that live as a kid and losing my mind
Braxton Miller highlights. Damn he was special
Braxton destroyed Bill O'Brien's Penn State career, then BOB took revenge to ruin Miller at Texans. Scumbag BOB.
He was the best running qB we ever had
Kenny Guyton, one the best back-up QBs in college football. Would have been starting anywhere else.
@@dougsfavorites2578 It is such a shame honestly. Even with the transfer portal loosened up it still happens.
Braxton will always be the king of the QB run, just dynamic with the ball in his hands. Awesome clips though, good memories!
Probably not everyone's favorite but you gotta have more Pryor runs the dude was pretty unbelievable for his size 6'5 230
Got to see him play in person, and he was deceptively fast. Would look like the linebacker had an angle and then he would be around the corner and 30 yards down field.
His running style was unreal, he just glided.
@@williammichael3078 He had long strides.
12:30 braxton miller’s spin move maybe the best spin move ever
Im just glad they didn't leave that play out just even though he was a receiver that season
Filthy
@@joohndoe8966 I’m glad you cleared that up cuz I was confused
“I think in Madden that may be the B button“ 😂
God I love Braxton Miller
I forgot how FAST miller was. Wow.
Love the teaser at the end with stroud. Well played.
So he can run so why is he not use as a running QB now we need that the next 2 games
@@wademyers2069 we never need him to run. There’s no need to risk injury to a great QB when we have as many weapons as we do

People try to bag on him, but forget he was our leading rusher in the national championship game against Miami
Craig Krenzel was a gamer. He would take hits to get hard first downs with his feet, and it won him a Natty.
@@Luke-pc5rb Dude got blown up quite a few times and kept on ticking. He did more with less than any QB I can remember the Buckeyes having
@@lew-e 💯He was super smart. His decision making was on another level.
If Braxton didn’t get hurt he would’ve been the Lamar before lamar
Braxton deserved a natty
Easy to forget just what a freaky elusive runner Braxton was..
Couldn’t have picked better plays. Awesome
Felt like Pryor and Fields were underrepresented here.
And wow, Braxton truly was amazing with the football in his hands. He was special.
Craig Krenzel was Johnny football of his time

Braxton "B" Miller no doubt the best running quarterback in Ohio State history💪🏾
The best part of Braxtons spin move was Cardale imitating him on the sidelines.
Any QB for the Buckeyes that can run is an awesome weapon. All highlights were great.
That run by B. Miller at the 4:13 mark was a thing of beauty!
Man the surprise was Craig, you tend to forget.......Buckeyes Forever ......Great Clips
Im glad you included the one from braxton when he came back as a hb. Wasnt a qb anymore but it’s one of the greatest runs ive seen in college ball period.

I feel bad for Braxton Miller. We never got to see how he would've done at qb at the next level
Krenzel was such a warrior, just like everybody else on the 02 team.
5:26 that juke... my GOODNESS
We will see more of those this year!
The spin move by miller is my favorite. Watched this video cause i knew id see it.
Braxton will always be the most electric player that ever played at OSU in my opinion.
Ted Ginn as well.
Yes. Braxton and Ginn most definitely!!
Man, I forgot how fast Braxton Miller was. Damn!
This great group of QB's, I feel bad for Kenny Guiton, he could have been a Heisman candidate, every time he hit the field he was as good as the starter
Imagine being a defensive coordinator in the big 10 during Braxton Miller’s 3 years….no sleep lol
The second I read the title, I was read for 10 minutes of Braxton miller footage.
Krenzel on this list is absolutely hilarious given who came after him
Haha, he wasn't the most athletic for sure, but Krenzel was still a baller and was clutch and made a lot of timely runs, and was also was the leading rusher in the championship game against Miami
Braxton got that stutter step from Shane Wynn in the playoffs in high school! LOL Shane did that same shit to his defense in high school
2 things are certain, Ohio state will never have a return man like Ginn or a QB that runs better than Braxton

Braxton was so good at finding blockers to spring him, he even used the refs lol.

Jt Barrett era reminds me of all the missed opportunities because he was our qb 😭🙆🏿♂️

Justin Fields was probably the 2nd best running QB we’ve had behind Braxton, he just didn’t have to run as much because he had the best arm to ever come through OSU
Craig Krenzel was the man
I may have rose tinted glasses on, but I swear every time Craig Krenzel tucked and ran he either got a first down or a touchdown
Saturday morning ☕️😎Excellent video
CFB was more exciting when games were low scoring. Hard to believe it was only recently that scores really exploded on consistently.
Krentzle was a great running QB but, I will have to say that B.Miller was faster than any defense he ever played college football so he was the best we've had.
Dope clips 💯
Awesome video! Keep the highlights rolling!! Go Bucks beat everybody!!
Braxton Miller ....
There’s a reason they call him “B Magic” 🥵
That was sick man do it in the nfl besides that iam a Ohio state fan
Braxton Miller's runs were Heisman level and beyond. We know 2021 will have absolutely zero QB runs for a highlight reel.
Say whatever you want about Krenzel, but that dude was clutch.
@14:38 NOBODY can tell me that CJ Stroud can't run the football.
Braxton Miller where the throws as at, not best Wild cat player or Running back
Lots of Dwayne Haskins I would presume 😂
Justin is my fav cuase he my first qb i ever saw play live

No ART SCHLICHTER?
Too bad we couldn't see any of Cornelius Green's, Rod Gerald's or Rex Kerns runs.
Braxton Miller was childish out there! lol
Biggest mistake Ohio state ever made was not letting Cardale start after winning a chip or giving Braxton his spot back
They did with cardale and Braxton was still hurt
You lose your memory? CJ started every game in the '15 season until the very end. Miller was through as a QB after his shoulder injury.
Krenzel was never a great QB, but man he was a gamer.
More Krenzel runs than Pryor? How?
More national titles with Krenzel. Nuff said.
How B.Miller never got a chance to play Qb but Lamar Jackson did I’ll never understand
Bc urban Meyer killed his shoulder in the orange bowl vs Clemson
+1 injuries
you showed 15 craig krenzel highlights but only three pryor highlights? is this a joke?
B button!
Whentheygoing to say there real good.#1buckeyefan
Krenzel was not really a running QB. Had many memorable plays though.
It was ruined by stroud at the end.
braxton miller should have won a natty if it wasn’t for that stupid scandal 😢

Of the fifteen minutes in this video more than half are of J T Barrett's 80-yard run against Minnesota.
