This OSU team had nearly beaten Vince Young and the eventual champs Texas in a shootout at the Horseshoe, while Notre Dame had nearly beaten Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and the defending champs USC, both these teams were close to being in that Rose Bowl title game themselves
Not as good as 2002 vs that legendary Miami team when all these stars were freshman except for Ginn and Holmes o wanna say and Troy Smith of course cause of krenzel
I miss when college players were generally from the area of the team they played for. Pretty sure every offensive starter except Holmes was from Ohio. Good luck finding anything close to that on any D1 program now let alone the top ones

This game was in HD at the time, pretty sure it’s even been on RUclips in HD at times, but NFL Throwback only has access to an SD version of the game from ESPN Classic which is why you see all the “we’ve moved ahead” overlays
