Team USA is made up of super stars and it’s competitive basketball they’re playing. This isn’t the all star game where everyone gets their shine and they’re out having fun. It’s almost as if team USA could be better served taking 9 all stars and 3 high end role players who won’t be bummed out about not playing. Idk.
Canada is built like an NBA team for example. They have a superstar in SGA. A star in Jamaal Murray, then the rest of their team is high end role players. Like RJ Barrett, Lu Dort, Dillon Brooks, etc. so I bet they’re having an easier time adjusting to playing together.

There is no team in the Olympics that has close to the overall talent. So if the United States team wins, it will not be because of great coaching by Kerr.

Let's all agree that coach Steve Kerr is an idiot. That is the only answer to the decision not to play Tatum and Haliburton. Kerr is a good coach, no doubt, but stupidity affects all people sometimes.
In a 40 minute-game wherein the dominance of the USA team have been very obvious, as a coach, you didn't have time to give minutes to other players who have not played in the first or second quarter?
