The issue appears to be with some of the LOD billboard settings. I set the three settings below, though I'm not sure yet if it's one specifically or a combination of all three: LMSBillboard.StreamingEnable false LMSBillboard.DownscaleOnOverloadEnable false LMSBillboard.LODBlendingEnable false Also found this helped as well: PostProcess.ScreenSpaceRaytrace32BitEnable false Other commands at the begining are: PerfOverlay.DrawGraph true (enables the performance graph) PerfOverlay.DrawFps true (enables FPS counter in top right) RenderDevice.VSyncEnable false (disables VSync)
hi sir thank you! a long time ago i left this game because of the stuttering, but now it seems your changes improved it! now im able to have a playable experience, thank you
You're welcome. I kept coming back to it a few times a year to see if I could fix it or if a driver update had helped but never could find anything. Ended up going through basically all of the console settings to find this. Still get the occassional hiccup, but definitely playable now
@@oshinoshinobu9500 I know that's a late reply, but I've seen on the internet that going into the power settings in Control Panel and changing minimum and maximum CPU usage to 99% can reduce stuttering drastically in the Frostbite 3 based games when you have Intel Turbo Boost/AMD Precision Boost Overdrive enabled (most of the modern CPUs have this enabled by default) since those games don't like fluctuations in the base core frequency.
Glad it helped. I still had some issues after this but found the below helps as well if you have some occassional stuttering still. PostProcess.ScreenSpaceRaytrace32BitEnable false
@oshinoshinobu9500 wouldn't 64 bit always be better anyway? Like if it's dependent on your computer, who the hell has a 32 bit nowadays. Okay awesome you've been so helpful thank you!!

The settings re-set every boot so you'd need to re-enter them each time. I assume there's probably a way to set them via a config file, or startup options/arguments but I haven't looked into that yet myself. EDIT: Tested some stuff. you can set some options by creating a User.cfg file in the install directory, but the LMSBillboard settings don't seem to work here. Tried adding them to PROF_SAVE_profile as well but it gets reset when you launch the game.

The graphics on this game is beautiful.
Hey bud, did you ever get this fixed? I'm really looking forward to your next run. I go back to your old perfect run every now and again and zen out.
i love this game so much
If this doesn't work, you can also try excluding the MEC save file directory from your antivirus settings.
Do the commands outside of the "LMSBillboard.StreamingEnable" change the graphics in any way?
Not that I've been able to notice
@@oshinoshinobu9500 Thanks for answer. I needed clarification for my addition to this game's article on PCGamingWiki

@@oshinoshinobu9500 do you know what that command line does exactly? Like what it is I'm turning off?
@@trocoplaytv1254 Just turning off 32bit Ray tracing. Will use 64bit. In terms of visuals, makes no difference that I can see

how or where do i put all the stuff?
If inputting into console, do i need to reenter upon every new boot? If so, should one change these settings from the config files?
